“A true paradise vacation”
Great location, very private. Gorgeous view. Loved it!

My Husband & I stayed at Daffodil on our last trip to St John. We needed to make a villa change half way through our week & that's when we found Daffodil! We loved everything about it. The view & pool deck really won us over. The house was very comfortable & bright & meet all of our needs. Kathy was so helpful & was great to work with. We've already booked our next trip to Daffodil in 2012.
Response from the manager Hi LuvSTJ, Thank you so much for your review of Daffodil Villa, I hope that your stay in 2012 was as good as 2011. I am sorry for whatever happened in 2011 that made you make the switch! Forgive us for just now submitting a response to your review, we were unaware we could respond to your review. We very much appreciate your review though. We hope you can come join us soon though! Until then, follow us on FB and Insta to keep this beautiful island in your thoughts! Thanks so much, The Island Getaways Team
“A quiet place with great view”
180 degree view to the south, with portions of sunrises and sunsets. No neighbors to speak of. Very well maintained villa, with the only negative on furnishings being very soft beds. Great for a undisturbed getaway, as long as you don't mind the drive from town and the beaches.
Response from the manager Hi berwerner, It sounds like you enjoyed your visit to Daffodil Villa! This villa really does have some spectacular views. I am sorry if the beds were too soft, I hope that it was not a source of discomfort for you. We have had other guests tell us they are the most comfortable beds they have slept on in a long time, I guess its like the sleep number beds, you just never know what may be comfortable for someone. We hope to have you back down soon, to Daffodil Villa or one of our other villas! We are sorry we didn't respond sooner, we were unaware we could respond to our reviews! Until you make it back to the islands follow us on insta or FB to keep this beautiful island in your thoughts! Warmly, The Island Getaways Team
“Little Piece of Paradise”
Daffodil Villa is a gorgeous little property, just as comfortable and secluded as it looks on its website. The spacious kitchen is wonderfully equipped; the sheltered patio dining table has a fabulous view; why would you bother going out to dinner? The brisk little plunge pool wakes you up in the morning and provides a refreshing cool-off after you return from snorkeling and before you take your nap. Beds are comfy; bathrooms are beautiful; great room is airy and bright. Outside, humming birds zip around the brilliant flowering shrubs, and a family of kestrels perches in the trees on the hill above the house. Bring your binoculars! We adore this charming place. Caveats: As with many St. John properties, you MUST have 4-wheel drive to navigate the narrow, dubiously paved roads and steep driveway. Water pressure is not great and there are screens-only windows that let the breezes waft through the bathrooms, so showering at Daffodil can be a really cool experience, in all senses of the word. But those are small prices to pay for a stay so close to paradise.
Response from the manager Hi Miss Sniggins! Do forgive our incredibly delayed response, we have just recently learned we can respond to our reviews and even though your review is from 5 years ago we still want to respond! :) To update you, we have upgraded some furniture and added a third bedroom! So, we would love to have you back down soon!!! We appreciate you taking time to review the property, as this is the way our future guests can have an unbiased way to view the property. Until the next time you're down follow us on FB and Insta to keep up with photos of this gorgeous island, we post pics daily! Warmly, The Island Getaways Team
“Clean, bright villa with some drawbacks”
We have stayed at Daffodil three times...in fact, three years in a row. Pros: It is clean and bright. The views of Fish Bay, the Southern part of the National Park and Reef Bay are amazing. The A/C works great, if that matters to you. We also liked that it was easy to lock the villa when going into town. Actually, we really like the villa itself. Cons: The pool and the pool area. Due to the tradewinds, the pool never seemed to get warm enough to use. We are pool people, so that was a bother. The pool deck is, well, barren. We used to stay at Unicorn, Daffodil's downstairs neighbor. While it had its own issues, the pool area was full of flowers. We missed that lushness at Daffodil. Lastly, the owners really should consider putting a hot tub on the pool deck. The deck area where they have the round table that no one uses would be ideal.
Response from the manager Hi Pete! Thank you for review, and let me start off by apologizing for our incredibly delayed response. We were just made aware that we are able to respond to our reviews. We appreciate your feedback so much and are so happy you liked the villa. Daffodil does have a pool heater, so we hope that it was operational during your stay. In the event that anything was uncomfortable about your stay we want you to always let us know, it is incredibly important to us that you have the best stay possible. We hope that you give us another opportunity to have another experience with both the Island Getaways management and maintenance team as well as Daffodil Villa. Since your stay, the villa has had several upgrades and improvements, though, I regret, they do not include a hot tub. We have added an ADT alarm though! :) We hope to hear from you soon! Warmly, The Island Getaways Team
