“Charming small family cabin”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2013

I loved the decor of the Rock's Edge cabin--it was clearly appointed by someone who loves horses and hunting, so if that's your thing, you'll love this cabin, too. Between the saddles, bridles, spurs, halters, and a pair of 9.5W women's cowboy boots, I would have had everything I needed to hit the trails, except the whinny. The kitchen is also very well appointed--lots of pots and pans and bakeware, a blender, etc...you could cook just about anything you set your heart to here. It was nice to have WiFi since there's no cell signal out here. It is a good size for a small family of 3-4, but I felt there should be another comfortable chair or two on the main level so there would be enough "comfy seating" for everyone to relax on in the evening. We also couldn't get the remote controlled fireplace to work. Pinebrook Rentals was great to work with from start to finish. There was some confusion on the part of the previous renters, but the unit manager handled the issue in a way that was a win-win for everyone.

“Everything we hoped for!”

We just returned from a week's stay at Rock's Edge. We loved this quaint, comfortable cabin! Had everything we needed (& more) for a most enjoyable stay! We found the cabin to be very clean and organized. As well as very spacious for the two of us...with room to spare! Bathroom was very nice with jetted tub & shower! Also appreciated being able to do laundry when we needed to. The bed was very comfortable..slept like a baby! Enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings. The area the cabin is in is very quiet...probably saw more cyclists than vehicles, but more on weekends than through the week. We enjoyed that we were in close proximity to the mountains- made several trips to Estes Park, and only a bit of a drive (maybe an hour) to a ball game and some shopping in Denver. Owner Don and manager Sandy were very friendly and helpful. Really can't say enough about the place...13 hour drive from our home in Canada, but would love to come back someday!

“Beautiful and peaceful retreat.”

We loved staying here! We were able to vacation with our dog and there was even an enclosed patio so he could hang out with us outside. The cabin was clean and absolutely comfortable. There was snow on the ground and everything had been plowed and was easily accessible also. We look forward to staying there again as soon as possible.

“Amazing weekend!”

Reviewed 4 Apr 2013

The 3 day weekend started out with a wonderful up close visit from the local wildlife and it continued on to be one of the best ideas we ever had! :) I can't recommend this cabin enough to couples- young or wise and even families of maybe 4 because the upstairs is just too cool for kids (not toddlers or babies) but kids that can climb. The cabin's look and feel was great and it was clean.. it was exactly what we were looking for.. the feeling of living the mountains yet the comforts of home.. the neighbors are super nice and the drive is just beautiful. I can totally see us coming back to this location again and again! :)

“Nice place”

Clean and comfortable with all amenities (except Wifi). interesting old west decor. However I'd loose the deer skin on the window seat (shedding)

“Great get away place.”

We loved our time at Rock's Edge. It is in a quiet area with the St. Vrain River right across the road which is so relaxing to listen to. Out of the hustle and bustle of Estes Park, but close enough for an easy run to town to shop or grab a bite to eat. So many great hikes in the area and at Rock's Edge you have the jacuzzi to relax those tired muscles at the end of the day. This was our second stay at Rock's Edge, and if we make it back out that way, we will see if it is available again!

“Very relaxing!”

Loved the decor of the cabin and especially the sound of the river across the road! Nice, quiet area- close enough to enjoy Estes but far enough for quiet solitude. A little challenging getting to the "upstairs" but very quaint. Beautiful kitchen and bath with all the comforts of home.

“charming cabin”

Reviewed 8 Jul 2011

We stayed in the cabin for 4 nights in May with our 2 children & small dog. It is very charming, has a great kitchen with full amenities, an outside hot tub & a loft area that the kids loved. I loved the rustic feel of the cabin. The only thing we were disappointed in was how far it was from Estes Park (about a 30 min drive). After driving up to Rmnp in the morning & staying all day in the area, we didn't feel like driving back in the evening for dinner or shopping. Overall it was a great experience for all of us.

“Amazing”

We stayed here for our honeymoon/ husbands R&R; from Iraq for a week and we couldnt of picked a better place to stay.We loved every bit of this place, it was like little piece of heaven. We loved that it was dog friendly, so we got to share this with our dogs too. The kitchen was gorgeous and we cooked every meal in it. It was still snowing when we were there so we used the fireplace and the hottub was great. We want to make this place a tradition in our life to come back to when we start our own little family. i Rave about this place to people when they ask about how are R&R; was and what we did and where we stayed. I highly Recommend this place :) the way they have it decorated is so cozy too. and its located around people but if u go around a time like we went when no one was there, then it was peaceful.

“Nice cozy cabin”

We enjoyed this cabin very much. It was perfect for 2 people and a dog. The hot tub was great but it was a little exposed to the neighbors. We couldn't get the fireplace to work, but it didn't really impact our stay. Overall, it was the getaway we were looking for.
