“Disappointed”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2013

Overall the place was OK. However, I think the quality was a Motel Six Vs say paying for a Fairfield Inn. Both showers drains were so plugged that by the end of your shower you were ankle deep in your own skin cells. The rugs were not very clean, the kitchen had one large pan and all the rest were quart size. Not easy to cook for 5 people. The couch was like sitting on a whoppie cushion. Every time you sat down the air rushed out and you were sitting in a hole. The downstairs bedroom had no screen on the slidder door and that was the only air for the room. No air conditioning and they said open the windows at night and it will cool the place off. No such luck if you ended up in the downstairs bdrm. Not someplace I would stay again. We had a very nice Black Butte condo for a portion of the price the year prior and it was really nice. Got it through a different agency.

Response from the manager Thank you for your feedback; while visiting with us and in this format. In follow up to our conversations our maintenance department was able to break free the clog in the drain and we are happy to report water is flowing freely again, the entry rug has been replaced and the kitchen supplies were inventoried and all required cooking items are accounted for. We are sorry that the screen door was missing during your visit and recognize how uncomfortable that must have been for you; please accept our apologizes, and the slider screen door has been installed. Sorry to hear this cabin was not a good fit for you, and hope we can help you find a place that suits your needs for next year's Sister's Quilt Show. Sincerely, BBR Management

“Great Cabin”

Wonderful, quiet cabin that is well maintained. The cleaning staff did an excellent job as well.

“Perfect Location”

Reviewed 1 Nov 2012

The house is in a great location and we found it clean and fully outfitted. The staff was great, easy to check in and out. Lucky us,the weather was picture perfect. Plan on returning next year!

“A bit too snug”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2012

This is an older 3 bedroom home with a too small upstairs second bathroom in which the door wouldn't competely close. It's a little too snug for 4 golfers. The location is lovely and close to the courses. The kitchen is also a bit snug.

“Black Butte is Wonderful!”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2012

We have stayed at Black Butte Ranch many times over the years and it is still our family's favorite place to stay. There are many outdoor activities to do--biking, swimming, tennis, golf, hiking--that are available. Or just walks around the property on the paved travels is always a pleasant experience. The only drawback to this visit was the home that we rented--and it was our choice--was that it was really a bit small for 5 adults and a toddler. The home was comfortable, but there was no sound proofing between the upstairs bedroom and the bedroom directly below it. It was hard to sleep in the downstairs bedroom if you went to bed before the people in the upstairs bedroom from the upstairs bedroom. I know, too, that the adults in the upstairs bedroom were trying to be as quiet as they could, but there was no way of avoiding this noise. Overall, our family had a great visit to Black Butte and we will definitely return--but we will choose our rental home a little better next time.

“It was beautiful :)”

We had an amazing time! the location of our cabin was perfect right by the lake and multiple trails. the cabin was clean and fully equiped. The reception team was lovley and very helpful when my sister and brother got themselves locked out of the cabin in the snow. They managed to get security to deliver them an additional key!

“Road Trip for Fun”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2011

We love your facility. Dog friendly (even supply treats and a bed!). Wonderful biking paths and fablous golf courses! Fishing and horseback riding as well. The staff could not be nicer and the food is fantastic as well. The Lodge food is reasonably priced and 5-star quality not to mention the view overlooking a lake with horses and cattle! Our unit needed a tiny bit updating ie: carpet and furniture but regardless was very comfortable and affordable for us. Thank you so much. Mr.& Mrs. Hogg, Rancho Mirage, California!

“Great location”

We were there for the Sisters shootout basketball tournament and this was the perfect location. It was close to Sisters and there was lots of things you could do.

“Winter Weekend at Hoodoo”

Reviewed 14 Mar 2011

I like the availablilty, but I was uninformed of incidental charges at checkout such as charges for the pool and rec room was totally unreasonable!

“GREAT EXPERIENCE”

Reviewed 7 Mar 2010

OUR RECEPTION BY B B R STAFF WAS BEYOND EXPECTATIONS - FRIENDLY, HELPFUL... STARTED A GREAT WEEKEND OFF PERFECTLY Away for a guys weekend (Sons and Dads). Picked Black Butte Ranch because of its proximity to HooDoo AND because of all the alternatives Pool is great, hot tub too, one of us got a workout, could have biked (if we'd had time - weather was N I C E) One night grilled steaks on the deck. VERY short walk to the lake we could see from the deck, watched a trout feeding one afternoon and ducks swimming leisurely At night we watched the Olympics with a great fire roaring. . . WE WILL BE BACK Next time my Wife and Daughter want to be included We'll see???
