“Love Stone Villa's”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2012

Thanks albert & Ida for your wonderful hospitality during our stay. Our Villa had everything we needed. Wifi worked perfectly. Clean, modern, and serviced everyday. It's obvious albert & Ida take pride in their Villa's and it shows. No rooster's crowing at all hours during the night ... bliss !!! We loved that. 5 minute walk into alofi where there are some lovely place's to eat. This was our second trip to Niue and it won't be our last and staying at Stone Villa's has been the best. Would recommend only one thing to albert and Ida, and that would be maybe putting a solar light on your sign out the front ... man the number of times we overshot the driveway. Thank goodness for your wheelie bin on the side of the road, as that was our slow down marker haha. Thanks albert & Ida, we'll definitely be back to stay again. Take care. Kindest regards Gaye & Kirstin from Napier, New Zealand. p.s we hope your still slowly working your way through all of that chocolate ;-)

“It was such a great and friendly experience will definetly stay”

Wow words can not explain how much I enjoyed my stay. The villas are always cleaned and fresh towels available daily. Ida and albert and their family were very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was so affordable and I felt that we got more than what we paid for. I will definetly be booking a villa when I go over for another holiday. In 2013.

“Amazing Hosts and Location”

My Husband and I went to Niue to find his Roots..Ida is a amazing woman who has such a passion for Niue and people that she gave the most wonderful gift of opening up my husbands family heritage..Stone Villa offers great accomodation with all the pleasures from home in a beautiful set location. From the pick up from the airport,to showing us how to open coconuts...This is the place to stay for a experience I can't wait to relive again...Thank you Ida and albert.xx

“We love stone villas!”

This was our second stay at Stone Villas. One week last year was not enough, so this year we came back for two weeks. The villas are beautiful, the location is great, quiet but close to alofi and the beach, and Ida and albert are fantastic hosts. A great place to stay for a relaxing holiday.

“An amazing island experience.”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2012

We were picked up at the airport and were given a short tour of the local area allowing us to orient ourselves to the small community of alofi. Our accommadation was located next to our host and hostess and we were made to feel welcome from the moment of our arrival. Our home was clean and came with all the things we required for our stay. We enjoyed the covered porch, spending our meals and reading time outside. We enjoyed our daily walks and local tours around the island of Niue. We greatly enjoyed the friendly and open reception we received by the island communities. Some highlights are the water clarity and marine life, weaving with the local women and learning a new skill, attending Sunday church and being invited to a community meal and experiencing small island life at its finest.

“Clean comfortable modern accommodation”

We had a lovely week at the Stone Villa. The layout suited us perfectly and having cooking facilities also a bonus, although the local eateries where also excellent featuring fresh & local produce. Our hosts where lovely and the whole experience from snorkling to catching our own fish on a day trip with 'Willy' pretty rewarding all round. The mossies pretty invasive, so prepared!!

“nothing was too much trouble for the hosts”

Reviewed 14 Aug 2012

we stayed at the stone villas for two weeks. the location is tranquil and private while still being close to main village. the hosts, Ida and albert were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. it was lovely to return from a day of exploring to spotlessly clean accommodation. the villas come with a car included in the tariff, something which is necessary for exploring the island.and this makes it even better value for money. the villas have washing machines and dryers, microwave, tv and dvd players also. we would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others, but be quick, there are only two villas available.

“So perfect !”

Albert met us at the airport and showed us around. The house is very nice, clean and well equipped. We spent a wonderful week at their place and had the most friendly welcome. Reasonably priced for a maximum of comfort (washer, dryer in the house, full equipped kitchen, free wifi connexion, rental car included). We warmly recommend the Stone Villa's to anyone interested in visiting the lovely island of Niue.

“Peaceful and relaxing break”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2012

Great central location - the added convenience of a car makes the Villa really good value for money. Friendly welcome at the airport and driven to our Villa, with a quick guide to restaurants, supermarket etc. The Villa has everything you'll need - apart from a hairdryer so take your own. I think they are going to add a pool, so that will be a bonus. The TV only has one station, but if you're going all that way just to watch TV, you need to get out more! Drive yourself back to the airport in your rental car and leave it there - how easy is that. Petrol is expensive, but the island isn't that big so that's not an issue. Lovely island, lovely people, worth a visit.

“Lovely place for a relaxing break”

Reviewed 21 Dec 2010

We had a lovely time at Stone Villas. We stayed for a week and used the villa as our base while we went diving/snorkelling with the dolphins with Niue Dive most days. The villa was cosy, comfortable and really well appointed - it had everything we could possibly have needed. We loved that the place was so private - it was so nice not to be around crowds of people all the time! It was very relaxing. The car was in great condition and was really good to have - you'd definitely struggle without a car on Niue. Ida picked us up in the car at the airport and we left it at the airport at the end of our stay. Ida and albert were very welcoming, with fresh coconuts when we arrived and coconut bread during the week. They even let us use chillis from their garden in our cooking. Based on our conversations with people on Niue, Stone Villas seems to be one of the best places to stay on Niue. If you're tossing around where to stay and Stone Villas is available, book it! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our holiday.
