“Great location, spacious apartment”
We stayed for 6 nights in June and loved this place. First, it's huge by European vacation rental standards. Our family of three (2 adults, 1 teen) could live here (permanently!) very comfortably. Second, it's in a great location in old town, yet an easy 10 min. walk to the free car parking area. Third, Trapani makes a great base for exploring all of western Sicily with a lot of really great restaurants. Fourth, the hosts are very kind and understand how to be welcoming & gracious without being intrusive. Only two negatives, completely not within the purview of our hosts. The apt is close to several bars that regularly have noise until 4-5 AM, Wed. thru Sun. No kidding. It's not obnoxious but it can be quite loud into the wee hours of the morning. It was solved for us by closing the windows & shutters and turning on the air conditioning. We would have preferred fresh hour but was not that big of an inconvenience. We would *not* recommend a restaurant in Trapani called "The Restaurant." It was overpriced and had mediocre food. Stick to the recommendations of the hosts or those listed in Lonely Planet guide. Trip Advisor reviews were not helpful in this town. Several with high ratings were only average. Stick to LP Sicily guidebook and the hosts. Go, have a great time, take the funicular to Erice, go to the beaches in San Capo, see the ruins in Segesta & Selinunte, visit the island Favignana.
“A lovely flat in a beautiful city”
A lovely, well-furnished, central and quiet flat in the historic centre of Trapani. Sem and Lucia were gracious hosts, and it was a lovely week's holiday for us with a ringside view of the wonderful Good Friday Procession from the balcony of the flat. Highly recommended!
“Excellent location and a comfortable apartment!”
Il Pesco is well located within the historic centre of Trapani. It is only a corner away from the city centre and close to daily amenities. There is a discount store which is open till 8:30p.m. and a bakery just round the corner. The rooms are very spacious. We were 5 in all but the apartment could sleep 7. The only thing is that there is only 1 bathroom however we managed well during the 3 nights we have spent in Trapani. Sem and Lucia, are amazing host - they have been very very helpful to us!
“Spacious, airy apartment, friendly hosts”
We found our way to Il Pesco on foot from the bus stop easily enough (satnav on phone helped, though Google maps has street in wrong location!). Sem and Lucia welcomed us, gave us keys and advice on a nearby restaurant for lunch. Later we got lots more information from them on things to do and see and locations of shops and bakery (very near!). The apartment is quite big and airy, and we found the kitchen reasonably well equipped. We liked to buy fish in the market and bring it back and cook. There were plenty of towels - even some older ones we could bring to the beach and having a washing machine was very convenient. We hired a bike for a few days which was handy for exploring Trapani and shopping in the further away places, though most things were within a short walk. Having the owners living in the same building was very handy, and they like interacting with guests. We invited them for an evening and they invited us back for a lovely meal. Between them they speak English, French and German,I think, as well as Italian of course. The apartment can accommodate up to 6 people, but with one bathroom, it's probably better suited to 4. Overall, I would recommend Il Pesco as it's so convenient to everything in Trapani, very comfortable and the owners are friendly and helpful. It's also good value, as there are no extras added onto the price.
“A nice, well furnished apartment in the centre of Trapani”
The apartment is ideally located in the centre of town. Difficult to find by car at first, once you know the way it is easy to get to and you can park for free nearby. The owners, Sem and Lucia, were helpful and friendly and we had a great week's holiday.
“A good base in the heart of Trapani”
We were met at the bus stop by Sem, which was just aswell as the flat , although very near, would have been difficult to find, especially as many streets in Trapani do not have street signs. The location is excellent: in the heart of the old town, and also walkable distance to both the bus and train stations. It is very spacious and very clean and it was nice to be able to sit out on the balconies. The bathroom is small and the shower is very tricky to use and produces either very hot or cold water. The large TV receives BBC World News by satellite. The equipment is adequate, but I would not want to do much in the way of cooking with it. The water is not drinkable and it would have been nice if some bottled water had been provided as we arrived very late at night. The owners, Sem and Lucia, live in the same building and are on hand if you want any advice, but otherwise they leave you alone. We would recommend this apartment as a very good place to stay in Trapani
We are just back from Il Pesco. Sem very kindly met us off the bus from the airport and took us to the apartment which was a great help. The apartment is very centrally situated close to the nicest part of town and also the port, bus stop to Palermo and train station. The apartment itself is very big and comfortable with everything you need. Beds are very comfortable and the street is quiet. The only noise was from the neighbour's TV which he seemed to have on constantly. Earplugs shut out the sound and we were able to sleep well. Sem and Lucia were lovely hosts ,even leaving us a bag of fruit and vegetables from the father's garden. Would definitely recommend.
“good place, very homey..”
very kind and helpful landlords, yet unobtrusive; stayed in february, heating worked perfectly even if the place was found a bit cold in the beginning; internet worked ok -- even if only in the doorway area, still we could work well.. just enough space for 2 families (2+3 & 2+1); kitchen equipment could use a revision :) very good central position, flairy neighborhood, very good value for money, besdies 3 steps there is a lift to the flat! best. peter
“Trapani Sicily: beautifull town, friendly people”
A stylish and comfy appartment, with a modern interior, located in the town center nearby the harbour. One to visit! We will be back! "
“A very good stay in Trapani”
We were 6 adults and rent Lucia and Sem's flat for 3 days. The apartment was clean, convenient and comfortable, very close to the beach. Our hosts Sem and Lucia were helpful and cordial. A place to be !
