- Very Good
We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this holiday. The accommodation was very comfortable and lacked nothing. We were lucky with the weather - only 1 day of rain, and although we saw plenty of lightening we were unaffected by storms. The boat made the holiday for us - it was such a joy to go dolphin spotting, and we spent most days on the water just to keep cool! Some lovely eating places - we would highly recommend The Boathouse, Nervous Nellies and Iguania Mia. Go to The Tiki Hut for the atmosphere and experience when a band is playing!
“Great place! Owner Tom makes the whole stay easy and enjoyable.”
We had a wonderful and relaxing week. Tom the owner has things so well set up and organized that all you need to do is bring your cloths and any food/drinks you want at the house. Great location for going boating and central to all of Cape Coral. Will be staying again in the future.
“Great Get away”
The house was very clean, and has everything you need. The heated pool was very enjoyable. If you like to boat there is nothing better than being on the water on a hot sunny day. We plan on returning in the future.
“Beautiful house and your own boat! It doesn’t get much better”
Before arrival, we found the Bayside website very informative with useful links. It told us a lot about the property, the area and importantly the boat. Not many properties come with a boat and this was very attractive. Renting a boat independently is both more expensive and complicated. The whole reservation and payment process was easy. The house is tastefully decorated and has 3 lovely bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, dining room, kitchen and a comfortable lounge which are all very clean and well appointed. Tom provides a very helpful folder of instructions which came in handy when we wanted to listen to music out by the pool. It was particularly helpful to have all linens, towels, paper goods, trash bags provided. The pool area was great with 2 loungers and a table which seats 4 in the shade. The pool itself was in good condition, very clean and regularly maintained. We spent all our time at home by the pool and barely used the living areas of the house. Books and Board games are provided and also beach chairs and a cooler for your trips to the beach. There is a wealth of leaflets and maps in the house providing ideas for days out. The boat was a huge success, helped by the valuable instruction by the coast guard captain.Docking on to the lift became easier with practice. We ate at Rib City a couple of times and had a nice take out from the Chinese restaurant nearby which was fine. We drove to Marker 92 restaurant one night which had a great atmosphere and some good food. We found the house very comfortable and peaceful which was just what we had wanted. The bathrooms were great and came fully stocked with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and liquid soaps. We slept soundly in the master bedroom. Beware the gardener comes at around 7 am on Wednesdays! Painful after sitting up until 3am the first Tuesday putting the world to rights and drinking far too much wine. We would stay here again.
“Perfect vacation at The Perfect Vacation Home”
If you're looking for a relaxing vacation, this beautiful home is the perfect escape. When we opened the front door to the home we all experienced the "wow" effect and it never wore off! It's quiet yacht club neighborhood location close to the islands and beaches provided fantastic water views and beautiful sunsets. On arrival the home was spotlessly cleaned, with towels, and all bath supplies. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need for preparing dinner. Having the boat to experience the gulf islands and beaches made this a truly memorable holiday. We especially liked Cayo Costa, and North Captiva Island beaches, reachable by boat only, because we had miles of beach all to ourselves. We collected many beautiful shells from piles of shells we found on the beaches. We also enjoyed restaurants on Cabbage Key, Pine Island, and Estero beach that we found using the on the water dining guide supplied by the owner. Everywhere we saw abundant wildlife from Osprey with their nests built on piling over the water, to schools of Dolphin's, Manatees and fish of all types. Although we never got tired of having the white sand between our toes at these pristine beaches, it was nice to return home to Bayside at the end of the day to lounge by the pool and watch the sun set on another beautiful day on the water. This place was perfect and we highly recommend it.
“Best vacation ever.”
The homes location is stunning with far and wide waterfront views from all the main living areas facing west. It was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped with everything we needed. We used the boat nearly every day and went to Sanibel, Captiva, and Cayo Costa for shelling, swimming and sunning on powder white sand beaches. Many of the beaches were only accessible by boat which allowed us to amass an amazing collection of unique sea shells. The serenity and beauty of these unpopulated beaches is truly a unique experience that we will cherish forever. The wildlife in this area of Southwest Florida is unparalleled, we saw dolphins up close everywhere we went, and many times they would ride along in the wake of the boat entertaining us with their acrobatic jumps and flips. We also enjoyed boating to waterfront restaurants on Estero, North Captiva, Sanibel islands for lunch and a drink after a fantastic day of boating before returning to the house for a swim in the pool and BBQ while watching the sun set. We actually saw Manatees, Dolphins, Rays, and a variety of fish right at the dock behind the home along with an amazing assortment of birds. Since the home is only a few minutes from the Gulf of Mexico by boat, we were able to pack a lifetime of adventures into our limited vacation time. We can't wait to return next year.
“South West Florida is fantastic!”
We are so sad to be leaving tomorrow. Have had a fantastic time - caught fish, saw many dolphins, manatees, sharks, rays, crabs, and all types of sea birds. We were also able to collect many shells and dead(not live!) sand dollars. Also found quite a few live whelks, which I tossed back. It was really great having the boat and quick access to the river, though the "miserable mile" can really drag on when it's hot with no breeze! I think our favorite place to go was the beach just north of redfish pass on North Captiva. We ran up there today early and had the whole beach to ourselves for an hour or so. Truly magical. Many great memories were made, and we hope to come stay at your property again. Thanks for everything.
“Beautiful home in best location”
We stayed 2 weeks at Bayside. We loved the house from the first time we saw it. It's a beautiful home with everything you can expect. Captain Rick did a very good job and the location is one of the best in Cape Coral. It's a great place for children as well. We saw a manatee direct in front of the boat dock. The boat is very nice and we enjoyed a lot of hours on the water. We will be back.
“Extremely pleased with the home, pool and boating experience.”
The property was clean, comfortable with all of the ammenities. The boat is in great shape. This was our first boating experience. We saw many dolphins and manatee. Location is another plus..only minutes from the gulf. It was a wonderful family experience. On of our best vacations ever. I would highly recommend this property.
