Very Good

“This is a place I never want to leave!”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2012

Staying on the Green Turtle is just wonderful! Having your own private yacht to sit and view the harbor, see the Boston skyline and enjoy the peace of being on the water, it is so special! The boat is roomy and very comfortable, great for two couples. Queen size beds with all the amenities of a traditional B&B.; The bathrooms are small, but lovely, remember you are on a boat. The galley is fully stocked with snacks, yogurt, juice, coffee, china and glassware. A big frig and a nice dining area. A spacious inside living area and aft deck are great places to sit and visit, outside is best! There is an ice maker and very comfy furniture. Breakfast is served to your table at a predetermined time and often with a choice of fare! Very delicious too! The owners are on site and are great hosts. We just love floating on the Green Turtle and can't wait to go back.

“Paradise for a night”

Reviewed 14 Dec 2010

The Green Turtle is an excellent place to stay from sleeping on the most comfortable bed you could imagine to waking up and looking out your window to see the beautiful harbor. The innkeepers Karen and John are simply amazing, they make sure your stay is perfect. I had a great time. Thanks.

“Exuding Excellence All Around.....”

Reviewed 26 Mar 2010

My wife and I had a two night stay @ the Green Turtle along with my sister in law and her husband in the next room. It was a spectacular time, there is no better people than the wonderful folks at the Green Turtle, Karen and Buck are the most thoghtful of hosts they were there each day and never hesitated to answer any questions and if you ever need a laugh Buck is the MAN he is a very funny man. The location of the Turtle is great, a great view of the GREAT city of Boston and everything is soo close and convenient. I would rate the Green Turtle on a scale of 0-5, solid 5 all around. The people that live near the Green Turtle on their house boats were the nicest and friendliest people. I would recommend this floating B&B to everyone, not to often you can stay at a B&B that floats and you won't find any fiendlier people around. Looking forward to going back sometime later this year.....

“Don't go to Boston unless you stay here!!”

Reviewed 24 Mar 2010

We stayed at the Green Turtle Floating B&B on March 17th & 18th of this year. Our stay was nothing short of magical. Watching the sunrise while drinking our coffee and watching the sunset (and a harbor seal play!) sipping a glass of wine out on the deck/pier -- no words can truly describe it. Our hosts were attentive, friendly and helpful -- great recommendations for dinner spots. Our room was comfortable and inviting. We loved falling asleep and awakening to the sounds of the harbor along with the gentle rocking of the waves. Breakfast, snacks and drinks were plentiful and yummy. Don't miss out on the opportunity to take the water taxi from the airport to the B&B!! We typically don't visit one place more than once but we will most definitely visit/stay at the Turtle again in the future -- hopefully near future. :)

“Hidden Jewel of Boston Harbor”

Reviewed 24 Mar 2010

Although my title is not original, it certainly is the hidden jewel of Boston Harbor. From the wonderful Inn Keepers, fully staffed kitchen, wonderful breakfast, spectular views, easy access to downtown Boston, restful sleep -- who could ask for more. A definite must for your stayover in Boston.

“Peace, quiet and comfort.”

Reviewed 22 Mar 2010

I stayed at the Green Turtle for a total of several weeks spread out over December - March. The inn is charming and lovely and located in an incredibly peaceful, relaxing setting only a short boat or bus ride, or walk, from downtown Boston, the skyline of which sits impressively across the harbor. The rooms are well-appointed, efficiently laid out and infinitely comfortable, reflecting the innkeepers' impressive attention to detail and general warmth and thoughtfulness. Everything one could possibly need is provided: from the strong shower and luxurious bed to the wine glasses and cheese board. The included wireless service is a particularly welcome touch. The Green Turtle is a gem - close to the action if you want it, but providing a cozy, private retreat if you need a break from it all.

“A hidden jewel!”

Reviewed 19 Mar 2010

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Green Turtle Floating B&B when moving my sister from Boston, during which time a "Nor Easter" blew in. I can not imagine ever staying at a more pleasurable enjoyable place. What made this trip and stay so enjoyable was first and foremost the hosts, Jon and Karen, never have we been treated so wonderfully and welcoming as they treated us and secondly there was nothing left out of our needs and wants from the comfort of the bed (I have never slept so soundly) to the snacks, soft drinks and amenities they provided. I would recommend the Green Turtle to my closest friends and family but selfishly wouldn't want to tell anybody else. We will return!

“Fabulous! Fabulous! Fabulous!”

Reviewed 18 Mar 2010

Owners Karen and Jon are all about customer service; like having your own Boston area concierge. The Green Turtle is one of a kind. It is a first class accomodation in a diminutive environment. Phenominally located and logistically placed on the water in Charlestown Massachusetts. The value is exceptional and the experience was something to brag about. Why stay in a typical boring, everyday brick and mortar structure when you can experience the ebb and flow excitement. Don't procrastinate; space is limited.

“A Rave Review”

Reviewed 12 Mar 2010

I can't say enough about innkeepers Karen & John, who displayed hospitality extraordinaire! They went above and beyond in making our stay a truly pleasurable experience. The decor is fresh and comfy with all the amenities, down to the gourmet coffee and baked goodies in the morning. The location is perfect with very easy access to all points in the city. I definitly will go again and again and reccommend to my family and friends!
