“A wonderful break on Gozo”
The villa we rented was wonderful. It had everything we needed but above all it was replete with charm and character. Just what we wanted. The Villa owners were incredibly helpful with all the arrangements and anything else that we needed. We found Gozo to be a wonderful island for a break. Very easy to get around, plenty to see and do, fascinating culture and atmosphere etc. We would definitely go back. The only negative remark is the number of men with guns in the countryside at this time of year, shooting birds - illegally as I understand it.
“Great family holiday - ideal location”
Tan-Nanna was spacious and clean and located in a quite village not far from Victoria and in an ideal location from which to explore the island from. This was our first visit to Gozo and we were not too sure what to expect but the whole family thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our stay. We would love to return to the island one day and would definitely consider staying at the Tan-Nanna farm house again.
“perfectly fine in a truly charming place own by nice people atte”
A truly charming place own by nice people attending at the perfection. Beautiful old farm well restored with a nice swimming pool.
“Ta Nanna Farmhouse Gozo, Malta”
This was our 3 (could be 4th, I really forget)trip to Gozo and staying at Ta Nanna Farmhouse. As usual, it was wonderful! Marvik arranged for our transport to and from Malta airport, and our car rental.Everything was supplied in the farmhouse that you could possibly need. I have been in the other farmhouses that Marvik offers and they are really all lovely. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in any of them. We just choose this one because we are "sentimental" plus, we can walk to town, we can also walk up to the cliffs and many spots with beautiful views. Well "tourism" has now hit Gozo. The tourist busses are way to big for the roads and you have to always stop and let them go buy or you may hit a rock wall. The square is mobbed with tourists. We drove a lot of the island but after awhile got tired of battling the busses. Marviks, mother Victoria is absolutely fantastic!!! His father,Antonio( I believe that is his name) is also just delightful!. I love them both. I know that Gozo is really dependent upon tourism and I do understand that it brings in a lot of money. However, I would suggest that maybe they only allow Vans instead of busses which would help with the road situation. Would we go back, I think we would. We would be more prepared for all the "busses" this time. There is sooo much to see on Gozo. Which is a very small island. If you get out of the tourist areas, you will have a great time driving and seeing all that there is to see. Do not let the busses deter you from going to Gozo or staying in one of Marviks wonderful farmhouses. You will not regret it. If interested, the website is www.gozobreak.com. If I can help anyone, I will be more than willing. One more thing. Do not go in the summer as it is just tooo darn hot. April, first part of May, Sept, and Oct. are great. Those are the times we have been there. I hope you visit Gozo and stay at Marviks farmhouses. It is truly a wonderful, relaxing, serene experience. Lynda Edris
Response from the owner Thanks Lynda and all! We will be looking forward to hosting you again! We are pleased to have you as customers and as friends! Maybe you are right; the open-top buses and the new Arriva buses (....especially the Bendy ones) are too big for Gozo! Have a great time and best regards from Sunny Gozo! :)
Tan-Nanna proved to be a perfect location from which to explore Gozo. The town is wonderfully quiet and sits on a hilltop, allowing near-all-round vistas. It is also walking distance (or a short drive) to Victoria. The house itself is wonderfully authentic and homely, which suited us as couple but which would serve a family just as well. Marvik and his family gave us a wonderful welcome and were always close at hand if needed - such as when the generator in Malta failed and half the island plunged into darkness - Marvik's mother was on the scene with candles! We highly recommened Gozo and Malta for a break and Tan-Nanna (or either of their neighbouring properties) come equally recommended.
Lovely farmhouse, no inside staircase, except for a ladder, which was unsuitable for my pregnant daughter and maybe older people, but not a problem walking around the outside because the weather was good. Very attentive family who made us feel very welcome.
“A very relaxing location and very child friendly”
We were welcomed by Marvic, and he showed around us the farmhouse and showed us all the amenities. There was a welcome hamper, so we did not need to go shopping on the first day. The farmhouse was well set out and great fun for the children. We will certainly be returning as soon as we can. A great holiday enjoyed by all, and made even better by timely transfers ans a caring approach. If you want a care free holiday I can heartily recommend Tan Nanna Farmhouse
“Relaxing vacation on Gozo”
Enjoyed Tan-Nanna farmhouse very much. Accommodation with all necessary things, didn't have any problems. It was a bit cold in the evenings in april, but Marvik always was helpful with providing us some wood. Thanks a lot to Borg family for such a warm welcoming! Will definitely advise to my friends a nice stay in Gozo.
My nan and I stayed in Tan Nanna in Sante Lucia. Taking my 82yr old nan on holiday had me worried but the Borg family couldnt of made it easier. They were so hospitable making our weeks holiday a real stress free holiday. One we will remember forever. The property was stunning with so much charm. Especially enjoyed the pool and balcony out back. Even greeted with a food hamper on our arrival, leaving nothing to worry about. The Borg family were always to hand if we needed them. All in all, an excellent holiday. I would definately recommend staying in one of their properties. Beautiful. Thankyou very much for these memories
Gozo was fantastic and also also the accomodation Tan-Nanna Farmahouse. the place is very quiet but very close to victoria where you can find all you need also good restaurants. we joined very much the swimmming pool and the barbecue outside we had lots of grill fish!!! the service was fantastic!
