“Perfect secluded romantic getaway cabin in mountains of nc”

Reviewed 1 May 2017

We had a wonderful time. Tammy (the owner) was very helpful with meeting our needs and answering any questions we had. Thank you so much for the much needed time at your beautiful cabin. The cabin had all the amenities we needed and the wildflowers and birds were awesome. We even saw a racoon eating out of the bird feeder one morning. Hot tub was also great! Thanks again Tammy! We will visit again.

This is an amazing private cabin located on top of a mountain. Wolf Branch Creek is lovely, visible and runs the full length of the property. You are lulled to sleep at night by the sound of gentle running water. The loft offers a very comfortable king sized bed with a skylight over head for star gazing. The down stair's double bed is comfortable as well and connects to a bright and beautiful sunroom that is perfect for a good read. This was a favorite room for our two Maine Coon Cats, Alyssa and brother Borneo who enjoyed looking through large glass windows at the beautiful humming birds and the skylight made it possible for them to lie in the sun. A large deck that runs the length of the cabin and over looks Wolf Branch Creek has a fantastic hot tub that is very relaxing after a day of hiking and exploring. The owner, Tammy gives you all the comforts of home plus your choice of many books and DVD's at your finger tips. You will find peace, tranquility and rejuvenation at this jewel hidden in the mountains that makes you want to return over and over again.

Response from the owner Thank you Felicia & Kenny. I look forward to seeing you both again next year:) Tammy

“A little piece of Heaven”

This is our second time staying at this wonderful getaway. I asked my Wife if she would like to go to Italy for our 10th anniversary, which she has been dreaming about, but she said she wanted to go back to "our little cabin in the mountains". We plan on making this an every two year anniversary vacation. The rates are fantastic for a 3 night/4 day vacation and most everything is provided.

“Peaceful, Private, and Cozy”

Our stay at Wolf Branch Cabin was wonderful. We had a great "home base" from which we explored the Asheville area, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Great Smoky Mountains. The cabin kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and dishes. The beds were comfortable - I have never slept so well anywhere else while on vacation! My husband enjoyed the hot tub. We used the fireplace the night we got there and the next morning as well. I wish my fireplace at home was that easy to use. It was fun to watch the hummingbirds feeding in the morning, and there were lots of butterflies. The road to the cabin is a challenge - no sports cars for sure - but we managed just fine. The wi-fi worked for my email and Facebook. My son, who is taking a couple of online courses for college, found it to be a little slow for him; but he has been spoiled by super-fast internet while at school. I would not hesitate to recommend the cabin to anyone who is looking for a great place to "get away from it all". Also, Tammy was great to work with. She answered my emails promptly and did everything she said she would. Although we did not take any pets with us, it is easy to see that it is a very pet-friendly place. Wish we could go back sometime just to relax!

I traveled with my wife, young son, teenage daughter and the dog. Everything you see and read on this property is exactly what you get. A very remote private location that is clean and relaxing. I would highly recommend this to anyone and would love to return another year.

“Can I go back now?”

My absolute favorite part of our trip to Wolf Branch was all of the time we spent sitting on the front porch and listening to the creek running and enjoying each others company. This place is the most peaceful, private, get away that everyone should get to experience. Its tucked away in the middle of some of the prettiest scenery we got to see while on the whole trip. It does take about an hour to get most places, but once your at the cabin your not going to want to leave (there are smaller grocery stores and stuff not to far away). The drive way is a little intimidating, we made it fine in my Toyota Camry, but the weather was perfect. If it is snowing, I would for sure recommend a 4WD Vehicle, my car wouldn't of made it up the mountain in bad weather. You do have to drive through a creek, but its shallow so if you go slow you'll be fine. One thing to mention is that Ms. Tammy supplies you with anything and everything you could think of needing... kitchen stuff, puppy stuff, gardening stuff, bathroom stuff. Needless to say, if you got snowed in, you'd be able to make it for a few days and be ok! We enjoyed this trip immensely and can't wait for another opportunity to come visit, I hope you get the chance to experience it!

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Wolf Branch Cabin. This secluded mountain getaway was perfect. We stayed in January and had light snow on the ground all week. The sound of the branch fills the large wrap-around deck. Going to sleep under the stars and waking up to blue sky is super underneath the skylights. The kitchen is well appointed and the house is clean. The owner is very friendly yet professional. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to come back.

“Tranquility at a beautiful, secluded, mountain cabin.”

We completely enjoyed our week at the cabin. It is "off the beaten path" which is exactly what we wanted. But you are not very far from many activities and restaurants. Listening to the rushing creek was absolutely wonderful, especially while soaking in the hot tub. At night you can millions of stars while in the hot tub or through the awesome skylight above the loft bed. We did not want for anything while there. Tammy is so thoughtful and it shows in everything. When our week was at an end, we were sad to leave. We definitely plan to return, maybe when the flowers are in bloom. If you need a place to relax and rejuvinate, this is the place!

“Secluded Getaway”

We loved the cabin. It was well furnished and had all of the amenities we needed. Very relaxing and if you want to go into Asheville, it isn't that far. Recommend following the directions provided by the owner vice relying on GPS. Exit 11 is not the way to go. Definitely recommend arriving in a vehicle with high clearance since you will be fording a stream on your way up to the cabin.
