Description

Located in Maenam, on the North East coast of Samui, our villa is one of the few privately owned villas on the highly regarded ' Kirikayan Luxury villas and Spa' resort, approx 10 mins walk to the beautiful Maenam beach.

The beauty of renting here is that you have all the privacy of your own private villa with private pool, but can also make full use of *all the facilities offered by the hotel, including restaurant, spa, reception, gym and fantastic communal pool overlooking the mountains.

The resort have a fabulous restaurant which also provides room service.

The villa consists of both a single story and double storey building set around a private infinity style pool, and can accommodate a maximum of 9 persons in 3 large doubles and 1 twin bedded room We also have a fold up camp bed.

There is an open plan lounge/dining room/kitchen with 42" plasma TV in the main building. There is also a DVD player where you can loan DVDs free of charge from the library in reception next door.

A stunning thai sala surrounded by fishpond makes the perfect location for taking breakfast 'Al Fresco'.

There is also free wifi in the villa.

The resort is situated on a very accessible road, a short walk from the centre of Maenam, unlike many new villas which are situated on roads requiring 4 wheel drive,.

There are numerous restaurants and bars in Maenam, with Fisherman's Village and Chaweng 10 mins and 15 mins drive away respectively. The brand new 'WHARF centre at Fisherman's village is a fabulous beach front shopping/dining centre and has become the most sought after evening venue in Samui with a hugely popular night market every Friday evening.Here you can sample street food and watch Thai dancers or choose to dine in the some of the best restaurants in Samui.

Daily groceries can be bought from the numerous 7/11's within walking distance or from the large TesCo/Lotus 15 mins drive away.

The beautiful 'Santiburi' golf course is situated a 5 min drive away from the villa, where guests are able to book and play on a daily basis.

The newly opened (Feb 2018) Samui Elephant Sanctuary is a short drive from the villa and is the perfect place to watch the elephants who have been rescued from the more traditional trekking venues, live a free peaceful retirement.

Getting around

We personally recommend hiring a car as this is not expensive in Thailand, however taxis and Songthaew's (open pick up trucks with seating which travel around the ring road) are readily available.

Interaction with guest

As the villa is part of the Kirikayan resort, our guests have access to a 24 hour reception where keys are held and collected on arrival. Our private maid will clean twice per week. The pool and gardens are attended to twice per week There is a 24 hour security guard who sits immediately outside the villa gates so you can rest assured your family and belongings are safe Our gardener and pool man will visit twice weekly

Response from the owner I will respond to these 2 reviews together as they have come from the same party in one booking. I am genuinely sorry that you felt the villa did not live up to your expectations and would like to address the issues that you mentioned. Unfortunately the party of guests prior to you had checked out only hours earlier, when we were informed of the broken glass in the bedroom door. The glass was actually ordered before your arrival and was cut to size and replaced during your stay. This scenario was not ideal, but was however unavoidable. When you e-mailed to tell me that an air conditioning unit and a water heater were not working properly, I phoned Kirikayan immediately who sent engineers round and repaired them within hours and you subsequently emailed to thank me. The cleaning schedule was set up for every third day and this was clearly outlined in our initial agreement. Had you requested additional cleaning this could, and would have been arranged. However, I am genuinely sorry if you felt that the cleaning was not to your satisfaction upon arrival. You implied that the resort staff were unable to contact me. In fact I was in communication with them almost every day during your stay as I have a great relationship with them and they advised me that there were no further issues. I do welcome feedback and in 5 years of letting, this is the only negative review we have had. I am back in Koh Samui myself this week so I will ensure the pool pump is in working order and that any other minor cosmetic problems are resolved. My number one priority has always been and remains that my guests have an enjoyable holiday whilst staying in our villa.

How do damage deposits work?
