“An amazing christmas”

Reviewed 11 Mar 2014

We spent Christmas 2013 in new york and we were lucky to stay in this beautiful apartment and to benefit from the hospitality of Robin and his family. The apartment is very well located (2 minutes for Supermarket, metro at 4 blocks - or 5 minutes), it is very well appointed and functional. We were 7 and we really had space. In fact it is perfect! And Robin was very careful to ensure that all goes well during our stay. In short, we recommend this Loft to visit NYC with family. It was Great . And we hope to return one day. :-) ..

“Sentirte un neoyorkino mas”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2013

“quite and had everything you need.”

I really liked robin. She was very accomidating and easy to work with. She never tried to mislead us and was there if we needed her. The rooms were very comfortable. was well decorated and very clean. The only thing that could improve was the location. However, at the price i'm just being picky. there are many near by stores and restaurants. it is in harlem but it seemed to be much nicer than what you hear about. it still isn't all the way there but i think it will be.

“Living local in SpaHa - great experience ...”

Reviewed 18 Oct 2010

Great apartment with a lot of space/rooms and all desirable domestic appliances. We enjoyed very much having breakfast "at home" before a new day of exploring NYC. The supermarket is just around the corner. All our fear being too far away from everything wasn't any issue - the subway is only a short walk away. Finally, the landlady Robin is a very nice person - great hospitality - and I would like to return so SpaHa Loft Sleeps 8 at any time. Jane

“Great base-camp in Manhattan”

Reviewed 18 Oct 2010

Five friends and I recently stayed 3 nights at Robin's beautiful and clean SpaHa loft for a reunion of old friends. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The apartment was huge, clean, and provided for all of our needs. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and the dishwasher came in handy when we entertained about 20 friends one night (very spacious place!) The neighbourhood is a little rough around the edges, but a diamond in the rough! The loft is on a quiet street, next to small sitting park, with all amenities right nearby, and I never felt concerned for safety. Subway was an easy walk away, and easy to access Central Park by foot, and the rest of Manhattan is just minutes away. This was my first vacation rental booking online and I was nervous about scams. I was really grateful for how responsive and professional Robin was with the whole booking and answering all my many questions. Great value for the money. I highly recommend this place.

“Big, Bold, Comfy and Convenient”

Reviewed 19 Mar 2010

First off, the place is huge by any standard, let alone NYC. It's finished with wonderful hardwood floors, exposed brick and big windows with lots of light. There's fully equipped kitchen for big dinners to host on the large dining room table. You'll know that you are in no other city but New York -- a bohemian version of Trump Tower. Location is excellent, in the heart of the rebirth of Harlem. The 4-5-6 subway and Metro-North line are a few blocks away. Groceries, restaurants and other shops are close by and it's easily walkable to Lenox Ave. The street is quiet and there's a neighborhood park right next door which must be bliss in spring and summer. When I arrived, Robin met me at the door with the key, showed me the place and was off. (But, since she lives upstairs, she is always available to tweak whatever might need tweaking.) Lastly, the building is secure with two locking doors and an elevator...this can be a serious consideration in Manhattan. Come, bring the family or a big group, and stay in the heart of one of the most dynamic areas in Manhattan. It'll be a true NYC experience.
