Very Good

“Fantastic property with all the extras”

Reviewed 14 Jul 2015

We travelled to Queenstown to ski with our 3 young children and stayed at Bel Lago. It was a pleasure to stay at this residence. It is very use friendly with large open areas, new amenities and lots of little luxurious extras. The views are to die for! Stephanie and Katelyn are very friendly and welcoming and we hope to be back again in the near future.

Response from the manager Thank you very much for your review and lovely comments and was a pleasure having you stay at Bel Lago. We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay and had a wonderful family ski holiday in Queenstown. Bel Lago most definitely offers a luxurious place to stay and the views are certainly hard to beat! Look forward to welcoming you back to Queenstown. Katelyn and Stephanie Relax It's Done

“Beautiful accommodation.”

Reviewed 21 Jul 2014

Bel Lago turned out to be a brilliant place to stay in Queenstown - I'm so glad we found it and it was available. The staff met us at the property and showed us around their beautiful house. The large living area and open plan kitchen made catering and socialising easy, whilst the bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable. The whole house struck of 'luxury', especially the fantastic sauna and outside hot-tub overlooking the lake and Queenstown. This house has everything you could wish for and more - even a drying room in the garage for those damp ski clothes. Our one and only criticism? The bathrooms could do with some shelves and hooks. We ended up having towels draped over doors and washbags on the floor. A fairly minor inconvenience and one which, I suspect when they see this feedback, will be quickly rectified. Would we go again? In a flash. Would I recommend it? Without a doubt.

Response from the manager Apologies for the belated "thanks" - but your review is very much appreciated. We're thrilled that you all enjoyed the home and your stay. Thanks also for the helpful feedback. It was nice meeting you all and we'd love to welcome you back another time - every season is beautiful and has something different to offer (although we know you loved the skiing!). Thanks again and kind regards, the Relax it's Done team

“Luxury accommodation, best views, lots of space!”

This place was amazing, best views in Queenstown. I can go on and on but will summarize with this: -7 of us stayed here and it was cheaper than staying in hotel rooms -Views are stunning and pictures don't do it justice -If I designed a luxury house, this would be it. -5 minute drive to downtown Queenstown My family loved me for booking this place. Just incredible.

“If you are looking for a stress free holiday then go no further”

My family (husband, myself and twin 11 year old boys) had a week at Bel Lago this autumn. The property is beautifully positioned and appointed. We were met at the property upon arrival (5 mins from the airport) and everything we needed was organised. Plenty of space, brilliant views, quiet, comfortable and a short 3 min drive into town. The property is warm, bright and easy living. Our time in Queenstown was second to none and having "Relax its Done" to organise and recommend suitable activities and restaurants made our stay stress free. I consider our family to be quite discerning when it comes to travelling and this holiday ticked all the boxes! We will definitely be returning.

“Our fantastic family holiday”

Reviewed 19 Jan 2011

A few minutes drive from the airport and our family of 8 including our 4 grown up children, 2 with partners were warmly greeted at the door of the most amazing holiday home "Bel Lago". Wow the views from every room are unbelievable, overlooking the Remarkables and gorgeous Lake Wakatipu the position far exceeded our expectations. The home has everything you could ever wish for and more. Heated floors, air conditioning, fireplace, spa, sauna, fantastic kitchen, and 4 large en-suited bedrooms. Beautifully presented and immaculately clean our family loved every minute of our 2 week stay at Bel Lago. Its impossible to single out what we loved most about the house-we loved cooking meals in the spacious well appointed kitchen & eating by the beautiful gas fireplace- which had a picture window of the mountains and lake, we also loved the privacy everyone had with loads of space, separate bathrooms and large decks for each couple. Set high on a hillside to take advantage of the amazing views it is a little more than a stroll to town, however we walked it several times and caught a $10.00 cab home-it's downhill, fun and extremely picturesque. A sincere thankyou to Margaret and the lovely team at "Relax It's Done" who are available to manage not only Bel Lago but any daily activities you may like to try, and I can assure you there are endless fun things to do in and around beautiful Queenstown. It was truly the best family holiday we have ever had.

“Bel Lago - perfect base for one of the world's best resorts”

First adventure, then adrenalin, now Queenstown is world resort for everyone - Kip Brook, Word of Mouth Media NZ What a different a decade makes. Ten years ago, Queenstown in New Zealand, was the adventure capital of the world, only to become became the adrenalin-junkies’ capital of the world. Today, the world-award winning alpine village with billion dollar views is the resort for everyone. A shop window t-shirt summed up Queenstown to a tee: Eat, Drink, Snowboard, Recover! Queenstown has it all from vertigo biking, bungy jumping and G force paragliding to leisurely bush walks, the best golf courses, wine trails, and idyllic romantic lake cruises on the near 100 year old steamer SS Earnslaw. Jet boating began here 50 years and bungy jumping was invented here. There’s a distinctive buzz about the streets with so many young people on an adrenalin-high. Conde Nast Traveller magazine readers picked Queenstown as the third best destination in the Pacific Rim behind Sydney and Melbourne – but without the big city traffic and clutter. I just had to go there in summer and see for myself. I booked into Bel Lago luxury villa, which was the best choice for several reasons: It had stunning panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu and amphitheatres of snow-capped mountains – such a majestic and romantic mix – and it had masses peaceful space to set up camp. My villa oozed luxury, with well-appointed fittings thoughout. I felt totally relaxed. My villa hostess, Carmel Mills of Relax It’s Done, made me feel at home with her warmth and energy. I never wanted to leave, but Queenstown’s attractions beckoned. As the sun slumped on my first lazy day, I soaked in the hot-tub sipping a chilled Rimu Grove chardonnay wine. I had to agree with all the Conde Nast readers from all over the world why Queenstown is one of the best destinations on the planet as I looked at the rosey coloured snow-capped peaks and glistening lake.
