“Perfect in every way”
You couldn't find a better place to stay in Budapest! We loved Ann's spacious apartment and wished we could have stayed longer. Such a central location, awesome river view, well equipped kitchen with everything spotless and 2 sets of keys, which made life easier. We also appreciated the very useful information that Ann sent about Budapest prior to our arrival. If you are visiting Budapest, we can recommend the free city walking tours that are offered daily. One word of caution though: watch your belongings! My husband had his wallet stolen by a pick pocket outside the House of Terror!
“Just One word: excellent!”
There is no need to look for another apartment in Budapest. Just book it and enjoy your stay! This apartment has made our trip much greater. It has an extraordinary view. Everything we need was already in the house. It is located in center. House was so quite and clean. You cannot complain about even a detail. And home-owner is so helpfull, she always answered my mails immediately about anything. I can suggest this apartmeny to anyone , without a second thought!
“Even better in reality!”
This was the perfect base for a first visit to Budapest with a stunning view, easy access to the tram and metro, and within walking distance of good restaurants and the amazing Market Hall. The flat is light, airy and surprisingly spacious with excellent kitchen and bathroom. Daniel was a mine of useful information and extremely helpful in how to negotiate the city in 39° heat! We hope to return at a cooler time of year and would certainly stay again in Danube View. We recommend the apartment unreservedly.
“Great views and loads of space”
I found this apartment outstanding. The views of the Danube together with the facilities make you want to spend much longer. The apartment is also centrally locaated so you can walk to any attractions. I would recommend this apartment to anyone.
The apartment was just right for a long weekend in Budapest for two people. We loved sitting by the window looking at the view and people watching. Even though it overlooks a busy area you could not hear the traffic and trams at night. We enjoyed getting picked up by Daniel and getting some inside information from him on Restaurants and things to do and see. I would recommend this apartment to anyone for location and charm.
“Amazing week in Budapest”
This was our first trip to Budapest and we loved everything there: people, history, weather, public transport, Danube, food, Daniel's hospitality and his knowledge about the city while picking us up from/to the airport and showing the apartment. Last but not least we loved the apartment. It made our trip so special. The location was perfect and the view to Danube absolutely fantastic. We sat for hours just by the window and looked the river, Buda castle, Gellert hill, the bridges and cruise ships. Once again thank you so much for making our trip so special. We definetely will come back to Budapest sooner or later again.
“Classy and comfortable apartment with fantastic Danube view!”
This apartment is a real find! Nearly everything was perfect, from our correspondence with ann to our meeting with her agent Daniel to the amenities of the apartment itself. The flat contains everything that a couple would need for a comfortable stay (the only minor inconvenience was a pair of twin beds that did not fit together well, which was slightly awkward), and it was beautifully warm on the wintry days. The building is charming and located within walking distance of most attractions in Pest, and there is a Metro nearby for longer trips. Finding a space for a car is challenging, however. And of course the main feature was the view from the 4th floor window of the ever-changing Danube. One could spend hours watching the boats, trolleys and passers-by, and on New Year's Eve all the bridges came alive with fireworks. I would recommend this flat very highly, even knowing that this will lessen my chances of finding it free when I want to return!
“Perfect for our needs”
The apartment is excellently located on the banks of the Danube. It's fourth floor location gives magnificent across the Danube to Elizabeth bridge, up to the Castle and over to the Citadel. As there was just two of us, the apartment was exactly the right size; it might be a bit too cosy for four.It is very well appointed and comfortably furnished. It's location made it easy to get round; we used only one tram during our weekend and walked everywhere else. I would definitely recommend the apartment to others.
“Absolutely fantasic view and great location”
Collected from airport promply though flight was late arriving, easy entry to appartment. View is ab fab any time of day - river, barges, trams, people - you name it. Very comfortable apartment, very warm if you want it, no external noise or from neighbours. All in all an excellent apartment, we have family in Budapest and jaws dropped on entry!
We had visited Budapest twice before and had stayed in hotels. As this was a six night break we decided to go for an apartment. As soon as we saw the photos we knew it was the one for us and the reality didn't disappoint. It is a little gem - apparently rare as most of the buidings on the Danube are government owned so it is hard to find an apartment like this. Daniel, who picked us up from the airport and took us back, showed us how everything worked in the apartment and was a real Irish treasure. We bought a 7 day transport pass (you can get them for shorter stays too) as it is so convenient to get around on the trams, buses and underground. Sometimes we just hopped on a tram to see where it went and to simply sit and enjoy the views! It also saves all the hastle of having to buy tickets and explain where you want to go. Our recommendations for nearby places to eat are the Central Cafe (very grand looking but not too expensive) up Iranyi Utca, Bonnie and Clyde's ( a drinks and eatery that's cosy and cheap) opposite the Central Cafe and Champs sports bar ( great atmosphere and food even if you don't want to watch sport on the many screens!) on Dohany Utca near astoria Metro stop. We ate in the apartment on New Year's Eve and were treated to a great firework display from the window. You don't get a better view than that in Budapest! Could we find fault with the apartment? No. It has everything you need and is the perfect location for everything - restaurants, shops, transport, sightseeing and wonderful views. Actually I don't know why I'm writing this because we want to go back. I should be keeping it a secret then we can book it again!!
