Getting around

You will need a car to explore the Florida Keys. Although you can get a shuttle bus down to Key Largo from the Airport and then get a locally sourced rental vehicle after you have settled in. Local Rental Franchises include Enterprise and Budget Avis. Be aware though that rental rates are generally lower from the International Airport whilst they also allow you the opportunity to do open ended pick up and drop off, for example arrive Orlando and leave from Miami. More locally in the immediate vicinity golf carts and cycles can be inexpensively rented and operators will offer a personalised drop off and pick up service.

Response from the owner This was a funny review. If you maintain a property, you can still get critiqued for a new paint smell. We have installed the most comfortable mattresses we've ever enjoyed throughout, these being the critically acclaimed Sweet Night product and you can read about their wider audience reviews. We love them and most of our guests do also. The property does not differ from nearly all the waterfronts at Condos in the Florida Keys in that it has a manmade waterfront of sand behind a rock escarpment. You walk into the Ocean via walkway's. This was a well pictured and described scenario. The Keys do not have long sandy beaches anywhere comparable with say places like the Carolinas, the topography which benefits the coral reefs and snorkelling and diving are different to pure long sandy beaches. Although there are still areas in the Parks where longer stretches of Natural Shoreline exist that you may walk along. All clear in travel resources about the Florida Keys. As to the description of Mosquitos. Unfortunateky our guest is mistaken, What he describes are the 'no-see-ums' or to be more accurate the sandflies, which can be troublesome at dawn and dusk, in the shade if the conditions are still. Again, any travel resource will tell you these exist and they are fairly easilly avoided with some standard precautions such as Citronella. So all in all, our guests enjoyed their stay, but sort of sounded about concerns which were really more about their own lack of preparation, reading and research.
