“Walk to the beautiful, peaceful, warm beach!”
This house had everything we needed, including plenty of room for our family of 6, beach chairs and beach toys to borrow, and a wonderful location.
Response from the owner Thanks so much for dropping us a comment!! Would love to have you & your family back again. Fun fun just steps away! Thank you Bonita
What a place! We arrived a little before check-in time (3pm) & were greeted with huge smiles from Bonnie and Jeff. They explained the area to us, a grocery store up the road, the bio-bay 25 minute drive. We rented the middle floor, 3 bedrooms 1 bathroom in and 1 bathroom on the deck (my favorite). Every bedroom has one single bed & one double bed (comfortable)! The kitchen has everything and if it doesn't just walk down stairs and ask Bonnie or Jeff they will get it for you! Butterflies & Hummingbirds are all around, a scuba & snorkeling shop within walking distance along with a few bars & kiosks. This town is off the beat and path. If you want to relax with friends and see the culture this place is for you. I will definitely be back! Cheers
Response from the owner Thanks R It was such a pleasure meeting you & your friends!! I know all of you took advantage of the BEST spot on the Island and got to explore a lot of the area and what we have to offer PLUS get that bit of relaxation in between the excitement. We very much look forward to seeing you get back here for another visit to show you even more!! Thanks so much for your opinions and let us know if there is anything we can get ready for your return!! Bonita & Jeff
“Bare bones, kid friendly, clean, nice caretaker, cool beach”
This was our first time in Guanica and we're glad we visited this special corner of Puerto Rico. The owner was easy to deal with, and the caretaker who lives nearby in Guanica was extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean all around. We were two families, with four children ages 5 to 9, staying on the second floor which has three bedrooms and two bathrooms (there are other rental apartments on the first and third floors). One of the bathrooms is outside on the balcony. The apartment is close (4 minutes walk) to a little, very charming beach and a 4 minute drive (or 15 min walk) to a larger beach which is also great. There is a restaurant and bar 3 minutes walk away. There is a spacious balcony with hammock (no views besides the lemon tree). Things we wish we'd known ahead of time: 1) Don't drive straight into the driveway or you will scrape the undercarriage (come in at an angle). 2) Bring your own paper products: extra toilet paper, paper towel, napkins. 3) Bring dish soap, hand soap. 4) Bring cooking oil, clean sponges, and trash bags for kitchen. 4) There are no glasses (just mugs and plastic cups). 5) Bring bug spray (some of us woke up with dozens of bug bites). 6) The cookware is scraped up, once teflon coated. 7) The mattresses are fine but old and soft. 8) We only got two channels on the tv and there is no dvd player. 9) The wifi signal is weak and comes and goes and is extremely slow. 10) Water pressure is minimal and there is only hot water in showers, heated locally.
Response from the owner Thank you for staying with us at the Villa Bonita~ Yes -it is true you do need to pull into our drive way at an angle to prevent from scraping on many models of vehicles Toilet paper & paper towels are supplied for start of your stay & additional should be purchased as per your families usage Some cooking oil/coffee/tea may be furnished in limited quantities & of course are personal usage/preference items & are not always made available-however some good suggestions on a few items-thank you We must apologize for our supply of pots & pans-they have been replaced, as well as our drinking glasses & our shot glasses are now back in place: we will get in touch with you personally-so very sorry for this inconvenience. Always recommend mosquito spray for any island visit-although our mayor is working on getting our neighborhood sprayed more often & the occurrence does happen now & then-it is sort of the nature of being right next to the water~ Dish soap/hand towels & dry cloths should have been there or requested Cable needed rebooted. Showers are flash heated & a water heater is being added for sinks-improvements being made daily We VERY MUCH APPRECIATE your comments & suggestions!! Please stop back in with us on your next trip to Puerto Rico. Thank You
“Most relaxing vacation ever!!”
Villa Bonita is truely a slice of heaven! The Stoudt family made our stay absolutely perfect. This is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed and it gives you a true taste of Puerto Rico. You can do it all here or just relax and do nothing at all. Perfect for families with relaxing beaches and snorkeling just minutes from your doorstep. We have already begun to plan our next trip!! Thanks again to the Stoudt family!!
Response from the owner Kevin, Shelly & Family It was a great pleasure to have you visit us at the Villa Bonita! Your family is a great treasure and it was fun showing you some of the sights!! We'll have to book Mr Bret as your personal guide for your next trip with us-looking forward to seeing you all again soon! Bonita
This was my very first time to Puerto Rico and it was amazing all thanks to the Stoudt family. Everything was all included. The beach was just a couple steps away from the house. The house was very neat and tidy. The shore diving was the best and it was right outside the house. The scuba shop to get our gear was only a couple steps away from the house also. The Stoudt family took very good care of me during my stay in this fabulous rental place and Puerto Rico. My next vacation i will be back.
