“Central to Spoleto”
Laurie and Norma were friendly and accommodating. It was great to get relevant information on where to eat, places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We stayed with Norma and Lourie for the second time and it was just great! Again! They are a terrific couple and they are doing a really great job. The apartment is very good, clean, bright and centraly located within an easy walk to everything. Elevator and terrace is a big plus in Spoleto. Service is very good with a lot of attention to any possible detail from the booking moment till your are leaving lovely Spoleto. We will be back for sure. Loved the place and the owners!
“what a great place!”
Spoleto is lovely and Terrazza Splendida was the perfect place to stay - located right in the centre of things in an interesting historic building. The apartment is a good size (we had 4 people) and nicely furnished, and the large terrace was great. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking in, although there are so many good restaurants nearby that you may not want to! The "on demand" water heater meant we could all have a hot shower - noteworthy because this was not possible in other places we stayed! Laurie and Norma were excellent 'hosts' and promptly sorted out the few little glitches we had. The only thing to be wary of is the odd little ramp near the lift / elevator on the ground floor, where it is easy to miss your footing if you are not paying attention. Things like this are common in such historic buildings though, and generally add to the charm as long as you know they are there!
“A lovely apartment in a super location”
We (a family of 5) truly enjoyed staying at Terrazza Splendida. It was a nice spacious apartment with a wonderfully big terrace. The location of the apartment was perfect, it is situated in the most beautiful street in central Spoleto. Spoleto and its surroundings are magnificent. Laurie (the landlord) helped us settle in and was always there for us. Thank you, Laurie, once again, for your kindness!
“This stay confirms why I love Italy so much!”
After being picked up by our hosts, we settled into this delightful apartment in the centre of town. Nothing could have been more perfect. The delights of Spoleto, whether natural or manmade, were all within walking distance. We soon developed a routine of good coffee, great food & wine & felt very much at home. We have recommended this town & this accommodation to every one we have spoken to since arriving home.
We rented Terrazza Tetto and Terrazza Splendida for our Christmas holidays. The 2 apartments were perfect to host our big family: 3 couples and 3 children. The children enjoyed going from one apartment to the other though the terrace. The location of the apartments was perfect, really in the heart of Spoleto. Norma and his husband were very very kind. The parking below the apartments was also very useful. Spoleto is a good starting point to visit other beautiful cities and villages, all splendid especially at Christmas time, such as assisi, Gubbio, Spello, Montefalco, Bevagna and Norcia. We look forward coming back soon!!
“A wonderful week in Spoleto”
We had a really nice stay in Terrazza Splendida. We were picked up at the train station by Laurie and dropped off again at the end of the week. It was so nice of him! Both Laurie and Norma were very nice and helpful! Unfurtunately Splendida wasn't avaliable all week. So we had to move Bella Due after a few days, which by the way was very nice too! Except we really missed the air con which Splendida had. It was 40 degrees celcius at the time! Both appartments have all you need to cook your own dinner, make coffee etc. Both appartments even had coffee and tea. We also got a welcome package with white wine, bread, tomatos etc. Very nice! At the terrasse at Splendida we barbecued fresh fish while our son played in a small paddling pool we had brought. It was very nice. One recommendation: If you get a bit restless like us, staying the same place too long, then we would recommend that you rent a car, at least for a few days.
“3 Fntastic Months in Spoleto”
For the 3rd year in a row, we just completed an extended stay in Spoleto in one of Norma and Laurie's vacation apartments. This year we spent 3 months in Terrazza Verde, my new favorite apartment. In previous years we stayed in Terrazza Tetto and Terrazza Splendida for a total of 3 plus months. Terrazza Verde is perfectly furnished and appointed and has a large terrace that provides beautiful views of the mountains in the distance, the church bell tower in the nearby piazza, and neighborhood rooftops and gardens. It also provides all the sunshine one could hope for. The apartment is comfortable, attractive and is the perfect size for a home away from home. And like the other apartments mentioned above, the location is perfect - in a historic building on the town's major pedestrian way filled with clothing shops, bookstores, bars, restaurants and other businesses of all kinds. This is the area we would spend most of our time in, even if we were staying somewhere else. Of course none of this would matter were it not for Norma and Laurie. They are the friendliest and most considerate and accommodating "landlords" one could ever hope to meet. They go to extremes to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of their guests, sometimes breaking generally accepted business practices to better serve the needs of a guest. It is clear that Norma and Laurie want their guests to enjoy themselves and to enjoy their Spoleto experience. It's why we have stayed with them 3 years in a row and already have plans to go back again.
“Welcoming, clean and comfortable.”
Spoleto is a delightful, friendly small town. We found the apartment comfortable and spacious, and very clean - and more comprehensively equipped than any we had previously rented. It was reassuring to be able call on Laurie if needed, and his advice and help were invaluable, as were his arrangements for transport to and from the station.
“Great apartment, Wonderful Hosts”
I stayed in this apartment as a group of 4 girls traveling around Umbria for a couple of days. Norma and Laurie (owners) couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. They picked up us and brought us back to the train station (we were car-less) and they recommended an amazing restaurant our first night in Spoleto that we've been raving about ever since- Vecchio Camino. The apartment itself was spacious for 4 adults. We had 3 twin beds and a double/queen bed. The couch is comfortable and could sleep another person if necessary. We loved the spacious terrace and sat outside with our espresso when we had sun. The apartment was stocked with plenty of dishes, cutlery, pots/pans, and they had tea, sugar, coffee, bread and a couple other items for us to use during our stay. Terrazza Splendida is located right off of a pedestrian alley and it's very easy to get to from any part of Spoleto. There are a couple of restaurants right around the corner and the castle is just a few minutes walk. I would highly recommend this apartment if you are looking for a place in Spoleto or if you're choosing a convenient location in Umbria. Initially we chose Spoleto because of the ease of taking a train here from Rome without a car and it's close proximity to Montefalco.
