“Bella italia”

Reviewed 17 Jan 2014

Terrazza Bella was everything promised in the website and so much more. My 78 year old husband and I were here several days, then he left and my daughter joined me. We had a car and explored all the lovely and historical Umbrian hill towns with great ease. The apartment was spacious and well equipped. The terrace proved to be our favorite place for dining, emailing and sipping delicious Umbrian wine. I'm a gardener and was quite impressed with the huge, healthy flowers and herbs filling every corner of the terrace. Truly lovely, and this,in late October. We're grateful to the gracious owners for their great information about local sights, restaurants and shops. We are already planning our next trip, probably renting several of their properties in this same building. Grazie!

“A great holiday expierience”

We stayed 10 days in Spoleto and cannot wait to return. Laurie and Norma are an absolute pleasure to deal with and the service they provide is first class. They could not have been more responsive to our questions and requests. We have rented many apartments around the world, some good some bad, this one is special. A great location and a delightful terrace provide a true indoor/outdoor living environment to relax in. Many thanks to our hosts, you are a credit to the tourism industry and we look forward to the next time. John and Tamara.

“Live like an Italian. Enjoy the sun, a lovely town and the beaut”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2013

We stayed for two weeks. The apartment is spacious and has all facilities you may need - dishwasher, washer machine, tv, reading books, maps of umbria, folders etc. The beds were good. The two balconies and especially the big one, make this apartment that special - with all the blooming flowers and lavish sun. Laurie was extremely responsive and helpful! We had one or two items to be replaced and they were immediately solved. The apartment is centrally located in Spoleto. We enjoyed making our stroll in the evening, getting an icecream from the excellent ice cream parlor around the corner. There is always something going on in town, festivals, shows, fireworks etc. Spoleto is a sweet town with lots of small alleys and especially steps. The escalator in town is a great way to move up, and the entrance is approximately 3 minutes from the apartment. Around Spoleto many other medieval towns can be visited, that are interesting to see, such as assissi. We also drove to Rome, which is appr. 1 1/2 hrs. The same goes for Siena. We also enjoyed the swimming pool. It's a bit of a drive - 12 km into the hills - but it then gives you a great view and often most of the times almost private. We can certainly recommend it!

“Everything Was Perfect”

My title says it all. The flat was beautiful, spacious and centrally located. Our hosts were great. They picked us up at the station and brought us back as well. Their restaurant and day trip suggestions were all very enjoyable. We will definitely return

“Spoleto sun”

An excellent holiday in a beautiful, clean, well equipped apartment. Ideally located. Norma and Laurie were the perfect hosts with informed friendly advice as always. Lifts to and from the station made travel so much easier. Thank you.

“We will be back”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2012

Our family spent two sunny weeks in Norma and Laurie's "Terrazza Bella”. The apartment was everything we had hoped for and more. The terrace was indeed the bonus, offering a cool breeze in the evening when dining outdoors or when listening to soft evening music from the piazzas below. The balcony on the front of the apartment provided a view of the pedestrians as they strolled along the shops, gelato in hand. Norma's web site, her introduction to Spoleto and her Welcome Package were very helpful and we visited almost all of her suggested "osterias” never to be disappointed. Laurie met us at a prearranged spot and we followed him by car to the apartment. (We recommend "splurging” for a secure parking spot if you do visit by car, although a vehicle is not necessary in this pedestrian friendly city). Because we arrived during an unusually hot period in June, Laurie was quick to add another fan to the two waiting in the apartment. The pool at Villa Marianna was a favourite part of our day and was a perfect spot to cool down after touring beautiful Spoleto and the surrounding villages. We will definitely return and we highly recommend a holiday booking through Norma and Laurie. Ewen, Suzanne and Vanessa Wrighte - June 2012

“nice place, nice people.”

Reviewed 26 Jul 2012

We had a great three nights here, and really enjoyed the location, in the town and the area of Umbria. Could have happily spent longer. Laurie was very helpful meeting us and guiding us to the handy carpark he arranged, and settling us in. As well as good information about the area in the apartment, everything else was well set up and comfortable, with a medieval front to the building and modern back with nice deck, lift and views. We had a great swim at another of Laurie's properties, which although not that easy to find was a great spot.

“A Little Piece Of Paradise”

Reviewed 25 Mar 2012

Laurie and Norma are professionals in their efforts to be good hosts, that of course is very nice in itself. On top of that the accomodations are exactly as advertised and take you back to a much more basic period of time where the stress of life does not seem to exist as it does in North america and elsewhere. Loved every minute of it.

“Relaxing very beautiful ,friendly and very Italian Superb”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2011

Wonderful holiday once we arrived at Spoleto Station and met by our very friendly host Laurie. However the journey to and from Manchester was rather long and tiring. Would love to go again if we can find another route.

“Warm welcome and great location”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2011

Excellently located right in the centre of Spoleto. The apartment was part of an old block full that was full of character and lived in by other Italians. Gives you some insight into the local life of the city. Lovely terrace with good views over Spoleto. A bit noisy at night due to it's location so we had to sleep with the windows closed. The apartment is comfortable - not luxorious -but is nicely open planned and tastefully decorated. Comfy sofas. The swimming pool is wonderful with great views across the valley - we hired a car so could reach it independently. Resturant on site at the pool cooked some of the best food we tasted in Italy. The owners were really welcoming, approachable and helpful.
