“A Dream Wedding!”
I can't say enough about Casa Buena Suerte! We stayed for a week with family and were married right on the beach. From the moment we walked in, we felt pampered and welcome. The villa is so beautiful; you feel like you're standing in a postcard. From top to bottom, there isn't a detail that was missed. It is also very clean, and the staff works diligently to keep it immaculate throughout your stay; you literally don't have to lift a finger. The beds were comfortable, and there was enough room in and around the house to spread out, so the large group we traveled with didn't feel crammed together. The chefs prepare fantastic meals that are absolutely delicious. The ceviche cannot be missed! Hugo, the house manager, cannot be matched. He is so friendly and genuinely felt like a part of our family right away. If you need anything, Hugo is there to make it happen. You can tell this is a man who loves his job! What a difference this makes! The wedding was fantastic! We worked with a local planner, as well as with Marc (the CBS owner), to arrange food and decorations, and every detail was handled perfectly, and it made our day a dream. Hugo made sure the placed looked amazing, and even hung extra lights to set the mood for the reception. The beach is beautiful. It is a bit rocky, so you do need shoes to walk in the water, but it's not bad. Cbs provides kayaks and life jackets, and we took advantage of this almost every day. The reef sits right off of the shore and is easy to get to, either by swim or kayak. The turquoise water was so warm and inviting, and the staff did a good job of getting debris off of the shoreline, as we did have rain during our stay. The Tulum area offers many activities! We went to Xcaret; it cannot be missed! There were so many choices, even with a week, we ran out of time. I do recommend renting a car, if you're staying a few days. Taxi costs do add up! Overall, a wonderful time, place, and people! We will be back!
Response from the owner Thank you Dara! So glad we were able to make your wedding a memorable event! We're Thrilled that you took advantage of the kayaks; the sea is so beautiful in front of the villa!
“Slice of Heaven”
From the moment the gates opened we were welcomed with a beautiful breeze and Hugo the house manager handed us coconut water from the property. This private oasis has surpassed any of our stays in the Caribbean. We roomed in the airy Palapa which was beyond any hut dwelling. It is romantic and picturesque !! It is the closest thing to sleeping on the beach you can get, listening to the surf and wind through the palm trees all night. As you walk into the open villa, you are struck by the loving attention to detail that makes for the perfect blend of contemporary safisication and warm home. There are so many places to be like drinks on the rooftop with stunning views of the ocean and wild mangrove to sitting at the onyx dinner table as the breeze comes through the french doors while enjoying a meal prepared by Sofia or Jose. Outside you can lounge in the pool and look straight across at the beautiful horizon. We has massages under the Palapa in the beach. What a wonderful way whine the day down. We will definitely continue to visit Mexico and stay at the magical Casa Buena Suerte !! home The grounds were esticilly at Casa Buena Suerte from Hugo Massage
Response from the owner Thanks Will & Linda!
“Our stay could not have been better!!!”
We just returned from Mexico, Casa Buena Suerte, and I think the villa is beautiful, handsomely decorated, and the Villa Manager Hugo makes sure everything runs perfectly. We were there during the Ernesto Hurricane and the house was secure and tight. We had winds for two days and one night. My husband is in the travel business and we see and stay in many high end resorts and this will rival any we have been. The pool, grounds and house are kept meticously clean. The cook, Jose, was wonderful. Every morning we had breakfast waiting. by Sophia. The owner called to check and see if all was good. The ages of our children were one year old to eighteen. We all had a really lovely time! We hope to return. Rita Hooker
Response from the owner Thank you Rita. So glad you and your family enjoyed your stay. We hope to see you again very soon!
“Very Nice Stay”
I arranged this trip for my wife's 50th, that included other couples and every single person mentioned this to be the best vacation experience they have ever had. Prior to the trip there was major discussion about who gets what room, once there discussion ceased because every suite was nice and unique in its own way. The house manager Hugo was outstanding, I hade a very demanding group and every single request, every single one was satisfied. And, the food - Jose has a way of seasoning it that was incredible. Also, for us the weather was absolutely perfect and kind of odd in a nice way, in that when we were in the city or outside the compound gates it was hot and humid, but when we were in the compound there was a constant breeze. I remember one time after coming from a hot trip in the city the moment I opem the gate I could see and feel the breeze, a very surreal experience. Did I say every single guest complimented on how nice a trip this was, and folks were talking about at least a bi-annual booking, with some wanting to com annually. My favorite place is St. Maarten where we go constantly because our love of the island itself, but for overall stay and accomodations the Buena Suerte Soliman is hard to beat.
We could not have been happier with the physical features of the property. It is important to state that the villa possesses an intangible quality that I can only characterize by using the word "goodwill”. It is in the details, it is in the subtle, thoughtful touches and it is in the people who are or have been associated with the villa. First there is the staff. Hugo who is chief caretaker and manger, is not only able, but full of love, grace and poise. Sophie, soft-spoken and unflappable, prepares food that exudes love and cleans house with pride and efficiency. It doesn't hurt that the owners call with some frequency. I truly believe that this goodwill has also been the legacy of past visitors, who have seemed to care for the property as if it were their own and have left thoughtful touches for the next visitor. This goodwill, which was always in the air, gave a magical quality to a property that, is in its own right, is stunning. The bedrooms are all large and perfectly planned and each had a sizable and exquisitely decorated bathroom. The The kitchen is large and has every imaginable appliance, as well as more glassware and serving dishes than one could ever use. The pantry was stocked with almost every condiment one could imagine. Sophia, the cook made a delicious breakfast every morning. Off the kitchen is a living room with a vast u-shaped coach, a 50” flat screen television. The outdoor spaces are nirvana. The pool is huge, easily accommodating the entire group when necessary. There is an outdoor dining area, wrapped beautifully by a "lounge” area with the signature, striped cushions of the property. Speaking of views, it is important to note that the beach is a your doorstep.
Response from the owner Thank you Miguel - It's great to hear that our efforts are appreciated by our guests. So glad that you and your family enjoyed our villa. Hope to see you again soon!
“a private Four Seasons”
Our third recent trip to Casa Buena Suerte was (something none of us thought possible) our best yet. The gardens have become so lush there are even more intimate nooks to escape to with a good book. The natural beauty of Soleiman Bay coupled with the grace and lavishness of the villa make one feel like you died and went to heaven! We ate in more frequently this time, (not wanting to leave even for an evening) and were impressed with the professional Chef Jose. He made a different meal every night and each one was delicious. To gather around the beautiful stone table inside or outside in the sunken dining room under the stars and arbor, after sunset cocktails on the roof deck, made the perfect finish to each glorious day. Hugo, the manager was there for any little thing our hearts desired, filling in the blanks discreetly and kindly, Sophia served us the best breakfasts and quietly cleaned and straightened up our mess, Aurelio watered and cleaned the infinity pool, raked the beach and fluffed the cushions!! We all agreed we had never enjoyed a week more. The Thorwarth clan, who never agrees on anything, voted unanimously to book for 2012. Thank you CBS, Mary Thorwarth
Response from the owner Thanks Mary; we look forward to seeing you again!
“A Snorkeler’s Delight”
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Buena Suerte. The location is remarkable. The house is located on a beautiful bay where we spent many hours kayaking and snorkeling on the reef. We swam with turtles, manta rays and fish in amazing array of colors. We alternated from relaxing at the house and visiting the many close attractions. The infinity pool is a wonderful place to just chill out. The housekeeping staff is very attentive and made us feel at home. Hugo went out of his way to accommodate all of us wishes from arranging transportation to the sites to finding a place for us to buy our own snorkel equipment. Our cook, Jose, prepared many excellent meals for both lunch and dinner such that we only went out to dinner once. The overall week was one to remember.
“Dream Vacation in Mexico”
We had the pleasure of spending a week at Casa Buena Suerte and the vacation was second to none. The house itself is spectacular with spacious rooms and private bathrooms/terraces for each individual room. With 3 kayaks and snorkeling equipment provided, we took full advantage of the beautiful beach 20 feet from the private pallapa. If the beach isn't inviting enough, you can relax and do nothing in the amazing infinity pool that makes you feel like you're at the edge of the beach. We originally had a list of restaurants in the area that we were eager to check out but Jose impressed us from the beginning and we wound up eating all but 1 dinner and 2 lunches prepared by Jose, not to mention the complimentary fresh fruit, baked goods and hot breakfast served by Sophia every morning. Hugo was the best catering to all our needs be it transportation, grocery shopping or just a basic question about the area. The location was far enough from the crowds yet being 10 minutes from Tulum to the south, 10 minutes from Xel-Ha to the north and 45 minutes from Playa Del Carmen provided plenty of options without much traveling. Overall a wonderful experience that we hope to make an annual event.
“Vacation of a lifetime”
Dear Friends, If you are looking for relaxing villa on the Riveria Maya, look no more. Casa Buena Suerte may be villa but is run like a 5 star hotel. From all of the architectural highlights, to the stunning grounds, infinity pool, and the views of Soliman Bay, who could ask for more? The staff at Casa Buena Suerte is amazing. Ugo tends to all requests by guests, Jose creates fabulous meals, Sophia greets you every morning with Buenos Dias and breakfast. It is one of the most relaxing trips I've ever been on. We hated to leaving the house to go sightseeing. Casa Buena Suerte is 20 minutes from the Mayan Ruins in Tulum and 45 minutes from Carmen Del Playa. We vacationed with friends, but once my family saw the pictures, they are suggesting that we have a family reunion in Mexico and stay at Casa Buena Suerte. Thanks for the memories and letting us stay in your beautiful villa. Loved It!!!
Response from the owner Thanks Donna, we look forward to hosting your family reunion!
We just got home from a great getaway week at Casa Buena Suerte. My family and friends were completely overcome with joy as we entered this fabulous property. The photos simply do not do it justice. The property is so beautiful and well maintained it takes your breath away. We stayed in the Palapa Suite and that in itself was such a treat; each morning we awakened to the sea and the gentle waves at our feet. We had coffee in our suite and then joined our group for breakfast. The staff is warm and curteous, the accommodations fantastic and the beach is total bliss. We enjoyed visiting the Tulum Ruins and a sailboat ride on the Caribbean - the staff was very helpful in arranging this for us. I would highly reccommend this villa!
