Beachfront condo in Club del Pacifico Sector of Tonsupa (the quiet town), 10 minutes from Atacames (the party town) 4-5 hours from Quito. Safe flat beach free of rip currents and is popular with children. Gated with 24 hour security guard. There is an amazing view of the beach and bay. Sleeps 8. It has all the modern conveniences, with swimming pool, air conditioning, fully equipped large kitchen, ensuite laundry, and the linens & towels are available. 3 bedroom 3 bathroom
This beautiful condo has satellite TV, telephone and access to Internet so that you are always in communication. Additional Daily Maid and Cooking Services can be offered to you.
Relax and listen to the sound of the waves. Let the worries melt away. Stretch out your legs and sip on your favorite drink while sitting on the 3rd floor balcony starring out on the wild blue yonder. Watch the tide come in and then back out. Watch the swimmers in the pool, the energetic ones play volleyball on the beach, the ocean swimmers bobbing in the waves in high tide and floating in low tide, the beachcombers picking shells, and the creative ones building sand castles. Watch the spectacular sunset. So many thoughts to ponder.

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO TODAY: Tonsupa is the quiet town and Atacames is the party town. Tonsupa has a flatter beach. The bus stops about 1/2 block from the condo. It will stop anywhere you want on the route and it will also pick you up anywhere on the route, just wave your arm. A 20 cent and 15 minute bus ride will take you into Atacames.
The bus passes though Tonsupa on the main highway. The main bus stop in Atacames is at 5 corners where 5 streets meet and most of the mototaxis hang out. You will know when you get there because usually all the passengers get off at this stop. Then a new group get on. It is 1/2 block from the town square where you'll find the local bank branch, church and other businesses. From the main bus stop you can take a bus to Same and Sua. There are many vendors in this area. Enjoy a bag of sliced mango for 50 cents.
This stop is also close to the footbridge that will take you to the beach. If you want the stop that is closer to the beach just stay on the bus until it takes you 1 block from the Malecon.
When you stroll the Atacames Malecon in the day it will be quiet. When you stroll it in the evening expect the bars to increase the volume of their music. In the evening take a taxi back to the condo...the price is very reasonable. Experience the 3 wheeled moto taxis. They are also reasonably priced. When you step away from the condo in Tonsupa you will experience restaurants, bars and mini markets. In the busy season more resaurants will open their doors. There is a restaurant and bar next door that is usually opened every day.
WHAT IS THE CLIMATE LIKE: January to May: Hot season with clear skies and intense sun. Average temperature is 30C (86F) and lows of 22C (71F). June to December: Season is cooler. Average temperature is 27C (81F). The sun is less intense but there is still a little rain. Water temperature is warm, 26C (79F) to 29C (84F). Esmeraldas is the wettest coastal province, and 'summer' is just less rainy than the rest of the year. Most days in Esmeraldas are sunny bright, with tropical showers in the afternoon and at night. January and February are considered by many the best months to visit the area, as they receive the most sun. They are also the hottest months.
