“Perfect Parisian Apartment!”
This is the perfect Parisian apartment! My cousin and I stayed here for 4 days and we had an amazing time and felt right at home. The apartment caretaker was already waiting at the apartment by the time I got there to hand me the keys and he was very nice and helpful. My first impressions of the studio are that it is nice and bright, very nicely decorated, clean and well organised (as you can see from the pictures). The studio is large so it was very comfortable for two people, with enough space for a third person. The studio is very quiet, even though it is located in a very lively neighbourhood. It is close to the Moulin Rouge, Sacre Coeur, and there are two metro stops close by (Abbesses and Pigalle) and easy access to buses. There are also a lot of restaurants, cafes, and bars within walking distance so overall the apartment is in an excellent location. It's also nice that there is high speed fibre optic broadband, essential appliances (e.g. dishwasher, washing and drying machines), cooking tools, and even a hairdryer and iron. Overall, I would highly recommend this apartment for its Parisian charm, comfort, location, and quality of service.
“A great place in a superb area - we will be returning”
We stayed in this delightful apartment during a short romantic getaway in Paris. Upon arrival we were welcomed by the friendly property manager who went out of his way to make us feel at home. The apartment is situated in a great part of town nestled between the vibrant Moulin Rouge area and the picturesque Sacre-Coeur Basilica of Montmarte. It was very easy to get to and from the usual tourist spots, but it was also a great base to explore some of Paris' lesser known attractions from. The apartment itself is comfortable and is fully kitted out with plenty of home comforts. Although it is advertised as a studio it is more like a one bedroom apartment, there is plenty of space to cook, relax and rest - 'a home away from home'. Patrick the owner has put together a superb 'Info Pack', this covers everything, including, where to eat, where to visit and instructions for the appliances in the apartment. This pack is very well thought out and as Patrick is a native, it means you can explore Paris with the guidance of someone who knows the area. I will be telling my friends and family about this hidden gem so that they can share the same fantastic experiences that we did.
“wonderful parisian experience”
I enjoyed a wonderful 1 week vacation in Paris. Patrick's apartment has an excellent location, is very chic, comfortable, spacious and it has everything you need while on vacation. It was the first time when I rented an apartment instead of staying in a hotel...a better experience from many points of view. It was such a pleasure to deal with Patrick, Veronika and Mamadou. The apartment is located in a safe and lively area of Montmartre, very close to shops, restaurants and the subway. The six flights of stairs did not bother me, it was a good exercise that I enjoyed at the end of each day. In all honesty, everything was great. I would recommend the apartment without reservations to my friends and I would personally rent it any time I went back to Paris.
“A Romatic get-away "Under the Rooftops of Monmartre"”
My husband and I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for our wonderful stay in your apartment! We loved the layout, the interior decor, the view of the rooftops across the courtyard. We loved the location, the neighbourhood, the instant access to abbesses Metro station - you even arranged a Christmas market in the neighbourhood for us - impressive ;) Your apartment has a warm homeyness to it that you just can't get from a hotel, and we really felt like your apartment was our little home away from home in Paris... Even the stairs (all 114 of them) were "charming" and meant a calorie-neutral, french bread and sweet, fleur-de-sel butter eating holiday! We were so grateful for your info pack too! We took several recommendations, including a Day-long cooking class at Cookin' with Class, which was an absolute highlight - we could not recommend the Market class experience highly enough! We also tried a few restaurant recommendations, including the sushi across the street. Amazing! I would also like to mention how friendly and accessible the apartment caretakers were. He was there when he said he would be, and our taking possession of the apartment could not have been smoother or more pleasant. We had some concerns about ordering a taxi for our flight to Barcelona and your caretaker was quick to reply to our emails, which we really appreciated. We especially appreciated the help with our bags up the stairs, and even more so two weeks later, down the stairs, after two weeks of shopping in Paris! We're home now, after almost 36 hours of flights, layovers, hotel stays and a ferry ride. I'm still pretty jet-jagged, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't already planning our next trip to your wonderful apartment. Many, many thanks again!
“Great location, stylish apartment”
Loved this flat. Very stylish, great service and a great location. The 5 flights of stairs were a bit tough after a long day out, but nothing that a good glass of wine, some glorious cheese and a hot bath didn't sort out once upstairs! Would recommend.
We stayed 5 nights in the Montmartre apartment and it was perfect. Patrick's information pack was very helpful. Everything was clean and the space suited 3 of us no problem. The apartment was very quiet at night and the stairs were not an issue. The stairs just helped us justify all the baguettes and pain au chocolates we ate!
“Shhh, keep it to youself!”
This is the kind of apartment you dont want to tell anyone about just in case it gets too popular! However a colleague shared its delights with my family and I so it would only be right and proper to praise it as highly as others have. No faults at all. Dealing with Patrick and at the apartment with his property manager was excellent, fast and professional. As much advice and help as you need and the information provided is more than adequate. Great location as previously mentioned. The apartment is very comfortable although I've seen that some people have two kids sharing the futon. For us with one child on this trip that was plenty fine for space. I would personally regard it as cramped for 4. However, we are a family who like our space! Its all been said before so don't hesitate to book and enjoy a great trip! p.s., the taxi company recommended in the property information to serve the airport was really excellent- at the apartment shortly before 7am. The radio controller even recommended to book at 6.55am to save a €5 supplement which starts at 7am.
“Perfect Location in the Heart of Montmartre”
Having been to Paris several times, we specifically wanted an apartment located in the charming Montmartre district. The location of this apartment could not have been any more perfect! It is very close to several Metro stations, and surrounded by lots of excellent restaurants, bistros, brasseries, markets, and all kinds of specialty shops. We stayed for 9 nights. The building itself is quiet and very secure, and the apartment is nicely done and very efficient in the use of space. It is bright and airy with windows on four sides for good ventilation. One of the best features is the large bathroom off the bedroom which has a full-sized washer and a dryer for doing laundry. There is also a separate powder room just inside the entry with a toilet and sink, which was very convenient for two people. The kitchen is nicely laid-out with high-end appliances and well-stocked. Patrick, the owner of the apartment, was extremely easy to work with, answering all questions promptly and even sending a very comprehensive information packet with useful information about the apartment, neighborhood, and recommendations of things to do. Veronika, his assistant met us at the apartment for check-in, and she was also very helpful and friendly. It was a pleasure dealing with them. We would definitely stay here again. The six flights of stairs were mildly challenging (especially the first time going up, coming from the airport, exhausted, and carrying all of our luggage in one trip). But if you're staying in Montmartre, you better be prepared for lots of stairs everywhere you go! That's part of the charm. Thank you, Patrick for sharing your cozy and charming apartment with us. We look forward to our next visit to Montmartre. Brent & Jeff
“This apartment is perfect. Loved living in Montmartre!!”
I cannot express how amazing living in Paris in Patrick's apartment was for me. My situation was unique. I was traveling with my 12 year old son for three weeks throughout Europe, and our week in Paris was the highlight of our trip. The apartment's location cannot be beat. I loved living away from the tourist-packed parts, but don't think you are away from the action here--just the annoying action! The apartment is in the heart of Montmartre, and it is only steps from 2 metro stops. The metro system is so convenient and easy to use. My son and I hit every site we wanted to see--all an easy metro ride from the apartment. Plus, we had a real experience living in an authentic Parisian neighborhood. Everything is convenient to the apartment: groceries, cafes, banks, trendy boutiques, transportation. There's even a catholic church only a few steps away--St. Jean's--it's beautiful! The apartment itself is very nicely updated and has everything you will need to live. I slept in the bedroom, and my son slept very comfortably on the sofa bed in the living room. The apartment's caretakers, Veronika and her husband Manny, are so professional, and they went out of their way to provide excellent service to me: When I had questions before arriving, my emails were all answered very quickly and thoroughly. And, both at check-out and check-in, they were so helpful. Patrick provides an amazing packet of information about the area too! I cannot wait to book this apartment again and bring my daughter and husband.
“True Parisian Life”
Hello Patrick We have been home in NZ for a few days now and still feel the vibe of our 2 weeks in Paris. Your apartment was fantastic for us and we greatly enjoyed its comforts and delightful location. It couldn't have been more perfect. We appreciated the 114 steps - the contra to expanding girths from all the food enticements of Rue des abbesses and wider Paris. Thank you for the opportunity to rent you apartment and have the experiences. We will become your unofficial agents in NZ and recommend your Montmartre Rooftops widely to our friends and colleagues. Best Regards Stuart and Felicity
