“Superb Property and Wonderful Hosts”

Reviewed 17 Aug 2014

We stayed at the Surf Road property and it was superb. The location is unbeatable, as it’s a short walk to a wonderful, but not crowded, beach, with trails along the headlands and the beach, so that you can walk or run for miles. The house is stocked with everything that you could ever need and it’s very comfortable and feels like home. The neighborhood is also wonderful, with lots of parks, restaurants, shops, and public transportation readily available. Very quiet and peaceful. We visited in winter (June/July) and the weather was fabulous. You will not run out of things to do in the area, and Sydney is easily accessible. The Zoo tickets were a great benefit as well. Sarah, who lives next door and manages the property, is extremely helpful and accessible if you need anything at all. Our visit went too fast and we would definitely stay at this property again in the future if we return to Australia.

“Spacious, well equipped, perfect for families”

We stayed in appartment 4 on Robertson Road while visiting family in Sydney. It was a perfect location for us and the views from the appartment are amazing. The appartment is very spacious - so it was perfect for a family of 4 with two small children. Both bedrooms have ample space and comfortable beds. The lounge area is also great - loads of space for the kids to spread out without getting in the way. We appreciated the supply of toys/kids books and the DVD player and TV. Wi fi was also available which was a great help for the adults! Plenty of up-to-date brochures and maps of things to do. The views are gorgeous and the beach is just a walk down the steps, there is also a playpark for the kids and a large park area for them to run around just at the bottom of the hill. From a mother's perspective - the kitchen was well equipped (including coffee machine!), dishwasher, microwave etc, and the availability of a washing machine was ideal for a long stay such as ours. We really enjoyed our stay here, Nicky has been so pleasant and we will definately consider staying here on our next trip to Sydney.

“We loved every minute of our stay at Beach House Sydney!”

We came with our three daughters to sttend my brother's wedding. After looking into staying in Sydney hotels, we thought B.H.S. sounded better in all ways. And it was! The apartment was spcious, clean, and wonderful and the views were spectacular. Since we hadn't rented a car, we were able to easily walk to the bus stop to go to Manly and then take the ferry to Sydney. As convenient as this was, we still felt like we were getting away. It was the best of both worlds. Nicky, our landlady, was delightful, helpful, and sweet. She and her grandson, Oliver, made our stay extra-special. Oliver even had some time playing with our youngest daughter, who turned four while we were there. I can't imagine a better place for a family to stay than here. I'm already dreaming about coming back. Just looking at the pictures of our accomodation (4) with its blue kitchen makes me feel homesick, and I'm from the USa! Thank you to Nicky for making our time with you amazing. We hope to return someday!

“Look no further...”

Your search for a holiday rental is over !!! We recently had the pleasure of staying at Joanna's beach house in curl curl. We are a family of three (two adults and a 5 year old child) and staying in this apartment surpassed all our expectations. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom has a washing maching, and there is ample storage and mod-con you require for a two week holiday self catering is provided for including the Bar-B in the garden !! The bedroom has a very large king sized bed and the lounge room has a sofa bed. All three of us were able to comfortably sleep here without feeling on top of each other. The access to the garden from apt 5 was an added bonus for our daughter, who played happily there for hours. Not to mention her delight at the playgound just accross the road (beside the most stunning beach !!). The apartments are beautifully kept, tastefully furnished and very clean. Joanna is a wonderful, warm, friendly hostess and made us feel very welcome and looked after any requirements we had without making us feel that she was on top of us. We were delighted to make use of the zoo passes which she gave us and had a great day out. Location is superb. Curl Curl is my favourite of the many beautiful northern beaches beaches. Pefectly nestled within easy distance to the more urban areas of Manly and DeeWhy yet quiet enough to feel you have escaped the bustle of life should you rather a more subdued, relaxing time. I would recommend staying here to friends and family alike. The only thing you need to worry about now is will she have any rooms left...get booking fast !

“56 Robertson Road North Curl Curl”

Reviewed 5 Sep 2013

We had a fantastic 10 day stay in apartment 4 in July. The view from the living room and bedrooms was amazing and we were made to feel very welcome by Nicky. We are a family of 5 and where able to use the zoo passes - we had a great day out at very little cost - thank you Nicky. Nicky was able to advise us on the local area and the cliff walk to Dee Why was lovely. The apartment was clean and very well equipped. If we are lucky enough to travel to australia again we would definitely stay here.

“Fantastically convenient”

Reviewed 10 Feb 2012

We stayed at the 56 Robertson drive, North Curl Curl apartment. We spent 7 days there. Honest and friendly the owners were. They let us relax from our trip for a few days before I initiated a conversation about the money they owe me.They helped me carry my luggage inside as well which I appreciated. The place was amazing. It is situated high near the beach with a relaxing view of the beach nearby. The facility was spacious. My family enjoyed the two TVs and the channels. There were clean curtains, covers and towels. The kitchen was clean and tidy which was important when you have a newborn with you which we did. It was very easy to find a parking space upstairs. There were nearby shops and malls. When comparing the convenience and the fare of 3 adults and a newborn staying at a hotel Vs. at this apartment... I tell you this is the place to be. The price was very attractive

“Fabulous apartment”

Reviewed 13 Jan 2012

We have just spent Christmas and New Year visiting family in North Curl Curl and stayed in the Beach House on Surf Road. Joanna and John made us feel so welcome and couldn't do enough to help. My children, 10 & 13, loved the freedom of Curl Curl, the beach, lagoon and park all minutes away. Waking up to the beautiful view everyday was wonderful. Sydney is an easy bus and ferry trip away. North Curl Curl beach is one of the best in the area. We made use of the free zoo passes ( saving a fortune) and appreciated all the little touches that made our stay perfect. We even had an unexpected visit from Father Christmas. We will definitely be back.

Response from the owner Thank you so much Jane for your review and kind words. I am not sure we deserve them, people who read what has been written on this site may think you have been bribed!! It was so nice having such cheerful people to stay and I was quite sad to say goodbye. See you next time. Cheers Joanna

“Perfect location,perfect beach”

Reviewed 19 Dec 2011

If you want easy access to the big city but a beautiful quiet beach across the street Joanna's is the place for you. 20 min. by bus to Manly, and the 30 min. ferry ride to Sydney makes exploring easy. The big plus is the family friendly and little used beach a 5 min. walk away. The apartment is well equipped and the owner extremely helpful in all ways. We stayed two weeks and returned a month later for another week. The best of both worlds, a quiet northern beach and less than hour to Sydney on the beautiful Manly ferry.

“Home from home”

Reviewed 23 Nov 2011

We couldn't have stayed anywhere better on our arrival when emigrating to Sydney. Curl Curl is beautiful, unspoilt and very safe, the beach house is a short walk to the lovely North Curl Curl Beach. The accomodation has everything you need for a short stay and if there is anything additional you require Joanna and her husband are always happy to try and accomodate you. They were fantastic with our 3yr old son who was missing his friends and his toys. Joanna appeared regularly with various toys, books, Dvds to keep him occupied and then there were her grandchildren to play with too. She was a wealth of local knowledge and great helping us to find our feet. We stayed in two different apartments both very comfortable and with everything you could need. Tessa was also fantastic, happy to help and provide anything extra that we needed. We can't say enough good things about the accomodation, location and the sisters who took such good care of us. A great welcome for us and start to our new life in Oz.

“Just what we were looking for.”

Reviewed 28 Oct 2010

On arrival - no worries. We were welcomed by Joanna and left to settle in without any hassle. The accomodation was spacious and very comfortable with ample facilities for us to prepare any food we required and there was even a well stocked larder for any essentials we might not have been able to bring with us from the UK. The location was superb and within very easy reach of the beach and a very welcome Coffee Bar which we had been introduced to on a previous visit to Curl Curl.
