Great location, only 14 min. drive to the brink of NIAGARA FALLS! Our "hoblet" has the look of a woodsy cabin, but is spacious and modern.600 sq. feet in total with a large studio living room, separate bedroom and a bathroom with a built in 2 seater far infrared sauna.( Please note the sleeping configuration would be a queen bed in the separate bedroom, while the 2nd sleeping area is the studio's livingroom, where we can provide a cot or a queen (or single) airbed mattress with bedding.This living room area is over 350 sq ft . Outside is viewed through 5 sets of double glass patio doors & 3 skylights. The green living roof is very special. Your "yard" is a hardwood forest with a small stream running through. Beautifully landscaped, out in the country yet only 15 minutes from the brink of the falls. Emphasis on nature and good energy. On site and for your viewing is our equine rescue, home to 7 donkeys, 1 mule, the latest rescue; Sheldon the pot belly pig and his little brother, and Monty and George are 2 sweet little goats that will greet you each morning. Groot and Gretel are our latest rescues and will win your heart. Your rental is completely private from the main house, has its own driveway with a delightful walk through the trees and past the "circle of elements", a great fire pit with boulders encompassing that space (wood is provided for your fire). .
Wonderful walks by the forest, ponds, waterfall, all help to create a very special energy in and around the "cabin". Your host, Petra, has received the Ambassador of Tourism Award from the Canadian government during her eight years as a professional tour guide in Niagara Falls.

For guests staying two or more nights we are happy to offer firewood for the circle of elements (fire pit), use of fishing rods and a meet & greet with the donkeys. We also will gladly provide personalized local trip planning and suggestions for beyond the normal tourist attractions.
Please be advised that there is a $15.00 charge per night for each of the 3rd & 4th person. There are a few options for the bed types and placement of them depending on your situation and needs. Please contact us before arrival so we can determine what option works best. There is a rollaway and airmattress bed, all with linens and blankets provided). Children must be a minimum of 14 years of age. Please note, maximum adults is three, or two adults with two children. As the "hoblet" and "twiglet" are part of the sanctuary, (as well our residence) we do ask that our guests respect the privacy (of humans and critters) and not have visitors unless previously discussed and arranged. Thank you.
Please note that due to our rural position (in the country and surrounded by forests) there is now a charge for internet/wifi and maynot be a strong signal. Other options are available so if this is important to your needs please contact us to discuss options. Movies cannot be streamed as there are no cable or DSL lines in the vicinity. Uploads or downloads can be slow from my system which is only 3GB PER MONTH.
Most folks now arrive with their own data on their phones and this has been working well for them (so we are told). For our corporate clients, authors etc. we would be happy to offer other options.

You mail letters to our home, AND INTRUDED ON OUR PRIVATE RESIDENCE MULTIPLE TIMES! NOT ONLY WERE YOU OFFERED A FULL REFUND AND CANCELLATION AT TIME OF BOOKING 4 MONTHS AGO you were also given almost a $100.00 discount because of your constant complaining about prices in Niagara Falls (I suggested not to visit Niagara in peak season because you stated you had a limited budget). THE DAY AFTER YOU ARRIVED WE ALSO OFFERED YOU, AGAIN, A COMPLETE REFUND AND TO FIND YOU OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS! (Your grand children said no thanks). You obviously don't comprehend the concept of "self catering" and were expecting to be served and catered to. You were also offered to schedule a "meet and greet" with the animals but when I came to the cottage to ask the grand children (17 & 19) they said you were asleep. You did not see the extra dish detergent, you did not see the two other sets of electrical outlets. We are on a micro biotic system and there is note to ask IF you want to participate in the "green system" than it is your decision. You prefer to lie and twist everything to make it sound so bad, what was so bad was YOU! You should be ashamed of yourself to try to discredit us with your blatant lies. You made it quite clear you were angry when I stood up to you and called you out on the disrespect to our property and our beloved animals that you displayed. In retrospect it doesn't surprise me that this would be your "revenge".
