“Awesome week in Zihuatanejo, Mexico”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2014

Dee & Mike provided us with excellent service during are stay. It was very comforting to know they were on site & available anytime they were needed. They provided us with a great variety of places to see & eat at during our stay. The condo was very comfortable & clean. The infinity pools were awesome & great way to relax or unwind from day of touring the area. The location was great -- close to the beach & a short taxi ride to town & the market or a nice walk if you wanted the exercise.Again, an awesome week in Zihuatanejo!!

“Nicest view and accomodations in Zihua”

Reviewed 7 Mar 2014

We have stayed in this unit since Dee and Mike took ownership. The view is to kill for and the accommodations rival any 5 star hotel anywhere. Mike and Dee are extremely helpful with information and the condo is top notch. As always we will be back. Brought our daughter and grandchildren this time and they loved it as well. Can't get enough of this town or this condo. Some of the best fishing and snorkeling you will ever do is right here

“Relaxing Beyond Repair”

The Marlin House is an exceptional place to vacation. With breathtaking views, there was a rainbow over the mountain in the harbor the very first morning...a harbinger of the two wonderful weeks to come. We enjoyed walking to a nearby beach for breakfast and a swim or the short walk to town to the Pancake House (my personal favorite). Lazy days swimming and snorkeling at Las Gatas (by very inexpensive water taxi) were also a favorite. The food is fantastic, fresh and affordable. We felt very safe and always enjoyed returning to the beautiful infinity pools at the condo for an afternoon swim after a day at the beach. The hosts are gracious, the unit clean and well maintained. This fishing village vacation should be on the bucket list of anyone who wants a relaxing vacation and a glimpse in to real Mexican culture. Also great fishing!

“This must be what heaven looks like!”

We have stayed at Casa Que several times, but this was our first experience at The Marlin House. In short, it was fabulous. Dee & Mike have done everything to ensure that your stay in this beautiful suite will be a memorable one. The Master bedroom terrace is a wonderful place to end the day with the evening sunset and then begin a new day with morning coffee. And you can't go wrong with the view from the open living room at any time of day or evening. Casa Que continues to live up to its' reputation as being a socially warm & friendly surrounding in which to enjoy your time in Zihua. A quick walk down to beautiful la Ropa beach or into downtown Zihau, it's all accessible from Casa Que and your home base at The Marlin House.

“Awesome views and a good place to relax.”

Thank you to Dee for making sure everything was as expected and helping out if we needed anything. The condo had everything you would need for food prep, entertainment, and just plain relaxing. The 2 infinity pools were a joy at the end of day for cooling off and meeting others in the condo. We felt very safe and secure. The walk to the beach is a few blocks down the hill. The walk back up could be challenging for those not use to the exercise but there are cabs waiting to take you back up the hill for a nominal cost. The local people of Zihu were great even if we could not speak the same language the smiles, nods, and hellos were easy to understand. We also felt very safe on the beach in the evening. One warning...take tours from the tour companies, or suggested by others who know. We had a bad experience by working with a waiter in one of the restaurants and paid for it with a severe case of food poisoning.

“What a view!”

The Marlin House was everything we expected -- clean, well equipped and supplied, and offering a mesmerizing view morning, noon and night. It was also a plus to have the owners Dee & Mike nearby to provide information. Even the fishing trip on the Huntress was a quality experience. Others who rent The Marlin House should try to have at least one meal at both il Mare and Casa Que Canta, but the latter requires a reservation so call ahead. Dinner on La Ropa Beach at Paty's with our toes in the sand was another nice experience. All-in-all our stay was a good value.

“Outstanding views”

Reviewed 5 Mar 2013

This property is fabulous. The views were fantastic. The rooms were large and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were lots of restaurants (beware of happy hour). Mike & Dee treated us like family and gave advice for everything. Oh, I forgot the fishing, we went out three times. Captains Mike and Francisco are real pro's. It was great too! They even arranged a snorkel trip with Captain Carlos to Ixtapa Island where Fernando took care of everything. (gear, a guide and a superior meal) We are already thinking of going back.

“So Lovely”

Reviewed 17 Jan 2013

My boyfriend and I just spent four wonderful nights at The Marlin House. The condo itself is beautifully appointed and stocked with anything and everything you could need. The views are unparalleled - absolutely breathtaking. I loved the open air feel to the space. The pools were perfect - gorgeous, clean, quiet and well-maintained. We actually loved the condo so much, we didn't spend much time exploring the area - we just couldn't make ourselves leave! Dee and Mike were extremely nice and hospitable. They went out of their way to make us happy and comfortable during our stay. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

The Marlin House exceeded all of my expectations. Great location with wonderful hosts! The airport pickup was so comforting after traveling for so long, especially with two children (ages 8 and 2 1/2). The kitchen was stocked with just enough stuff so that we didn't have to worry about anything right away. Mike and Dee were helpful with directions and information about things we wanted to do. The home was perfect for us. There were beach towels and floats for the pool, even "floaties" for our 2 1/2 year old. The balcony off the bedroom was nice, and even nicer that you could close the door if you didn't want your little one to go out there. The pictures are very accurate but don't quite do it justice. Air-conditioning in the bedrooms was very nice to have. The complex has two nice infinity pools with awesome views and very close to La Playa Ropa, 5-10 min walk. There are stairs, so if you don't like to walk up hill, just take a taxi back! Very safe, very secure, someone at the guard station 24 hours and they do ask for information until they get to know you. The attendants are more than happy to call a taxi for you, just about 30-40 pesos back and forth to the center of town. You can actually walk to town as well if you are up for it. There is filtered water and even drops to soak fruit and veggies. Wi-Fi throughout the condo. Tvs in both bedrooms but if was much more fun to just sit on the coach and look outside. Maids don't come everyday but that just perfect, 2x a week is all we needed. We also took advantage of the fishing on the Huntress, which was awesome. Captain Francisco and Captain Mike are the best. The whole stay in Zihua was wonderful, in large part because of Dee and Mike and The Marlin House. We can't wait to go back!

“Must stay here if your in Zihua!”

Dee and Mike made this a great experience for our trip. My fiance and I stayed her for 5 nights and loved it. Beautiful property and the condo is spectacular. Open air rooms while you can shut doors in the bed room to keep cool with a a/C f you wish. The view is worth the 5 stars in itself. Easy to walk to the beach, restaurants, and downtown and it takes less than 5 minutes to get a taxi if needed. 2 infinity pools make a great place to enjoy a beer or cocktail for a sunset. The staff on property are friendly. All in all a great place to stay while being hosted by a great couple!
