“Very comfortable”

The apartment was very comfortable for our family of 4. Very clean and spacious. The only downside was the noise. Living on Lawnmarket during the fridge has good and bad. Close to the action. Can see and hear performers. So close to the Castle it was a delight. Good restaurants nearby. However at night it was noisy so bring ear plugs. However during the regular season it is probably fine. Derek was very responsive and easy to work with.

Very clean, well-equipped, and plenty of room to spread out. But the best part was the location. Right in the heart of the action - tourist action that is. Centrally located for the best sites, some which are just right outside the doors. And made for great views from the several window seat. Restaurants, shops, street performers all immediatlly available. All this action kept things lively which we loved.

I booked the apartment on the strength of its location: very conveniently at the top of the Royal Mile, about two minutes from the castle and about a 12 minute walk (uphill) from Waverley station. Inside the rooms were spacious, decor was modern and clean and the furniture was good quality, including mattresses. The weather was bitter but we were warm. The whole apartment was very thoughtfully kitted out, particularly the kitchen. It would have been perfectly possible to do 'proper cooking'. One drawback - sash windows are single glazed and therefore not well insulated against noise, which could be a problem for some but did not prove a problem for us. We would stay again & recommend to friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Lawn Market location. Close to everything and fun to sit on the window seat and watch the "stir" below.If you want to be in the middle of the action, this is the place to be. Well equipped, spacious 2 bedroom flat with comfortable beds. Bright, airy and in pristine condition. Easy and friendly check-in. We would certainly return and also recommend to friends visiting Edinburgh. Thanks so much!

The service was first rate - we were able to access the appartment by 10 a.m., as there were no tenants the previous evening. The owners met us at the front door. This was our second stay and as a family group we thoroughly enjoyed the appartment. All home comforts are provided, everything is clean and in working order! A superb location, terrific views down Lawnmarket towards St. Giles, close proximity to the Castle and any number of shops and places to eat. The only minor issues are that the appartment is on the second floor (not so handy for those with buggies or older party members!) and it can occasionally be a little noisy with deliveries being made early in the morning. We will definitely be back for a third visit!

Our family have stayed at Pillowstops for the last 3 years. For us, there is no better Festival accommodation. The apartment is clean, welcoming and in a perfect location. Already booked in for next year!

Although parking is necessarily difficult at an apartment right in the middle of the Old Town, all was made as easy as possible. Mrs Gibb helped us bring in our luggage and we were greeted with a hospitality pack and a clean, modern, well-fitted out apartment. The umbrellas were particularly appreciated! The location is the best part of this accommodation - particularly if you are there for the Festival. We would certainly return.

When we arrived we were welcomed personally by the apartment's owner, which was a great touch. The apartment was spotless and central to all the tourist attractions, we could not have asked for more. There are many restaurants close by, with supermarkets within walking distance. It was so much better than a hotel, with large bedrooms and a nice sized lounge. We especially loved the window seats, the people watching was fantastic! I would definately recommend this apartment and will be going back there.
