“Highly recommend this holiday cottage”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hazelgrove and would recommend this cottage for any time of the year. It is a really comfortable place for a restful or active holiday. The cottage is well kitted out, with lovely furniture, really comfortable beds and a great kitchen and utility room with everything you will need. The gardens are lovely and it is grand to sit out the back on a sunny morning, or sit on the front verandah sipping wine in the evening! We saw deer, red squirrels, and an otter in the loch -or was it Nessie?! Highly recommend a boat trip on Loch Ness, a visit to the Black Isle to see the dolphins and, if you are up to it, climbing Ben Nevis- one of the highlights of our holiday.
“A peaceful retreat - spacious, comfortable, well maintained, and generously equipped.”
Hazelgrove is in a lovely location. The charming, well maintained fenced garden is ideal for children to have adventures in. Fiona and Graeme clearly put a lot of thought into how to make sure the house is well equipped for guests in all respects. We particularly liked having the extra space at the back of the cottage for storing all our bags etc, and the utility room facilities were fab. The large open plan living area is great for family life...space for all, and the wood burning stove lends character and keeps it cosy.
“Excellent cottage, home from home with everything you could wish for and more.”
Hazelgrove cottage was ideal for our pre christmas break away. The setting was beautiful overlooking Loch Ness, so nice to wake up to on a morning. Hazelgrove is in a very peaceful location but with excellent ammenitites and not far from Iverness and many other places of interest. It was great to find a cottage that accomodated both of our dogs with the bonus of a large secure garden and great walks nearby. Hazelgrove really was a home from home with personal touches provided such as a welcome pack on our arrival containing some essential goodies to start our holiday off well, I would definately recommend Hazelgrove to friends and family.
Excellent cottage. Home from home. Pet friendly. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be back next year. Woodland walk on doorstep. Red squirrels running up trees in garden. Deer locally gorgeous stags. Definitely recommend foyer falls urghuart castle visit. Be mindful .check opening times as we stayed November
The feeling I had while staying at Hazelgrove is 'home'. That's the best I can say! Fiona and Graeme have thought of virtually everything a family would need to feel relaxed and comfortable and 'at home'. What more could you ask for on vacation. We traveled 20 hours to get there, and believe me, it was a welcome experience to be able to relax immediately. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and appliances necessary to prepare any meal. And the view of the loch can't be beat! The beds were very comfortable, with plenty of pillows and blankets for chilly nights. The gardens were well maintained and such a pleasure to have to look at. DVDs to watch, books to read, games to play. Lots of information about things to do in the area. This is, of course, a place I will return to.
“Beautiful cottage great location”
A lovely cottage in a quiet location with fantastic views over Loch Ness. Everything you could need is provided, and the cottage also has a large garden where we saw all manner of birds, plus a red squirrel. Plenty to see and do in the area too.
“Hard to beat.”
A lovely well equipped cottage both inside and outdoors. It is in a beautiful location and the large secure pet friendly garden is a bonus . Woodland walks from the door, we loved it. tesco.com delivered the shopping soon after we arrived so couldn't be easier. Fiona and Graeme have everything covered and it is obvious the comfort of their guests is their priority. The dog treat in the (most) Welcome Pack was much appreciated.
“Fantastic cottage in a stunning location”
We have stayed at Hazelgrove with our two dogs on several occasions over the last few years and can't recommend it highly enough. The garden and dining room enjoy fabulous views over Loch Ness and the cottage is extremely comfortable and well equipped. The owners, Graeme and Fiona, always give us a warm welcome. The cottage is perfect for anyone with dogs, having a large, securely enclosed garden and walks from the doorstep. You can walk out of the door and straight onto a track that takes you into the forest - or a few minutes down the road, and you're on the shores of the Loch. Depending on how far you want to travel, this is also a great base for exploring other beauty spots such as Findhorn and the Black Isle. We've stayed in many lovely holiday cottages in Scotland and Hazelgrove is certainly one of the best, both for its facilities and its wonderful location. Highly recommended.
“Wonderful cottage and location. Views outstanding”
Hazelgrove is a lovely, comfortable and pristine cottage. The views from the cottage are wonderful. You cannot fail to relax at Hazelgrove. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
“most cosy and dog friendly cottage we have ever stayed in”
We found this cottage to be supberb for the dogs and the layour works really well. There was a a lovely welcome pack of bacon, jam butter milk and cereal etc and biscuit bone each for the dogs which was a lovely gesture. I would recommend this cottage 100%. The local tesco is only about 6 miles down the road from the cottage, we wont be packing as much food next time as the tesco is very handy as its on the way out to wherever you go for the day towards inverness.
