“Very comfortable, bright, spacious apartment”
Based on other reviews we asked Aurelia to pre-book a taxi to collect us from the airport. It was well worth it and nearly same price as hailing a taxi. We stayed in a basic apartment the first night but then moved to a superior 1 bed with a balcony for the remaining 3 nights, it is well worth the little bit extra. The apartment was spacious and bright, comfortable bed, quiet at night, spacious bathroom and lots of hot water. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and it is for this reason I would thoroughly recommend staying. They gave us a great information booklet about everything we needed to know and took us through a map pointing out places oif interest. They gave us great tips about avoiding Q's and booking tickets online. They even checked us in for our flight home and printed out our boarding passes for us.
“wonderful place clean and quiet, good facilities and location, excellent service”
We stayed at AURELIA VATICAN APARTMENTS for few days (2+2 kids), located in a peaceful neighborhood with all the service you need, the staff was keen to assist in any question and gave us a useful information. The room we got was very clean and got all the facilities we needed and more. The price was very reasonable. there was a free parking at the place and the yard was very nice. I strongly recommend this place for all.
The Apartments are clean and tidy, well organised good sizeable rooms warm and cosy in a good central part of room close to supermarkets and resturants. The staff is very helpful and english spoken and load you up with all the information and all you need to know in and about rome. They offer good service, buses and metro are within a few minutes away to go anywhere really. The area is nice and quite.
“Great Apartments and Amazing People”
Great time in a comfortable place. Amazing people who can arrange your time in Rome the way you like the most. You can easily go sighseeing, eating out or shopping and come back to a comfortable and welcoming place. I fully recomment to everybody who wants to visit Rome!
“Happy I found Aurelia Vatican Apartments”
I spent one week with my husband and two children in a two bedroom apartment. When we arrived after a long car trip the staff took all the time to explain us what to do in the Eternal City which was very helpful. The staff also helped us to book a restaurant for Christmas. We could leave the car in front of the building at the parking, for free. The apartment was very clean, it seemed new. It was perfect for our family with two grown-up children. The general cleaning every day was very nice and we got every day clean towels. Thank you very much for our perfect stay!
“Lovely aprtment and gracious hosts”
We stayed at the aurelia Vatican apartments from March 11-18. The apartment was fully and comfortably furnished, and had a charming little balcony overlooking the central court. Kate and Sam were unfailingly helpful in addressing any of our questions, and offering wonderful guidance on navigating Rome. Unlike many apartment rentals, the aurelia includes housekeeping service to empty the garbage and freshen up towels as needed. The apartments are secure and well cared for. Also, there is a washer dryer on the premises, which is an assist for longer stays . A local bus 495 stops virtually outside of the complex with stops at such landmarks as the Piazza del Popolo and Borghese and Tiburtino. The closest Rome Metros and Regional train is a 15 minute walk, grocery store about a 7 minute walk, but the 495 bus stops right in front of it, if you have a lot to carry.. ( We also found that the local 492 bus, which leaves from the nearby Cipro Metro Station takes you throughout the heart of Rome to locations such as Piazza Navona, the Capitoline Museum and nearby Trastevere. Although the apartment is only about a mile from the Vatican,,, the area borders on the rural...we saw sheep and goats grazing above a hill as we'd walk back to the apartment from the Metro in the evening. We would definitely recommend the aurelia.
“Sistemazione perfetta a prezzi contenuti”
Personale gentilissimo e disponibilissimo a fornire suggerimenti su Roma. Aria condizionata in tutte le camere. A pochi minuti dalla metro. Si può raggiungere la città del Vaticano in 20 minuti a piedi.
“Fantastic apartments, superstar hosts, made our trip to Rome!”
There were so many things we loved about this place I hardly know where to start. Here goes! 1. Amazing hosts: Kate, Sam and their team should actually write a book on how to make people feel welcome and at home while travelling - in two months of travelling through some great places, this was our top customer service experience. On arrival, Sam sat down and talked us through a map of top tourist attractions, how to get around, recommended eateries and other useful information. They also advised which attractions to book in advance and helped with bookings. When we were leaving and it was pouring with rain, Sam dropped us to the train station himself. They also went to extreme lengths to help us deal with a courier company to retrieve an item misplaced earlier in the trip. I won't go into detail, suffice to say they went well beyond the call of duty... 2. Apartments: we took a terrace studio apartment, which was spacious, modern and clean with a large terrace - the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine after a hard day's sight-seeing. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up a few good meals if like us you don't want to eat out every meal. The apartments are in a renovated block set around a nice courtyard. 3. Sleep quality: quiet neighbourhood, good sound insulation, quiet aircon and comfy beds - ten hours anyone? 4. Location: this apartment is in a friendly neighbourhood a few stops on the metro from central Rome. The metro is about ten minutes walk and there are buses not far from the apartments as well. There is also a decent supermarket nearby. If you are only in Rome for 1-2 days or if you like to party all night you might want something more central, but we would definitely recommend this place for families and people who want to be close to the centre but still relax a bit. 5. Value for money: nothing in Rome is cheap, but we thought that this place was great value for money. Overall, highly recommended and we would definitely return.
“The place offered everything my kids and I needed to have a plea”
As I searched for accommodation in Rome like elsewhere, my main concern was a kitchenette to make meals for my toddler son. Aurelia offered this and more. Sam, the proprietor attended to us personally including helping with the bags! He provided us with useful tips for a great holiday in Rome and this saved us time and money. There were enough beds for 5 of us, the apartment was cleaned everyday and replenished. From the long sight seeing walks in the Summer heat, the air conditioned and spacious residence was very refreshing. It also had a balcony that my 5 year liked so much. I liked the location being in walking distance to the supermarkets, restaurants and metro station. A bus stop is right at the corner if one needed it. I liked most the humility and warmth of Sam the owner. In addition,I enjoyed the quiet setting in a green area and the fact that nobody hustled me to pay for the accommodation. While I had been charged well in advance in other places I had stayed like Paris, Vienna, I decided to pay after 6 nights.
“Hospitality Beyond the Call of Duty”
Short version: My luggage was lost in Berlin. I had a 30 km cycling tour booked for that morning - and nothing to wear but my plane outfit, complete with white strappy sandals. Solution: having noticed that we might wear the same size ... Kate gave me her Nikes. Now I've heard of hoteliers (figuratively) giving the shirt off their backs - but the shoes off their feet, literally?! There aren't enough stars to do this kindness justice. And it was typical of the care, attention and overall gorgeousness of aurelia Vatican apartments.
