“It is Indeed Perfect!”
Tucked away in a hidden cobble stone pedestrian only street just off the Bastille, this secure third floor studio apartment, accessible by stairs or elevator, is just as the owners describe, perfect! Melinda and arnie are a delight, sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for the 'City of Light,' and of course their lovely apartment. The couple redesigned the living space several years ago drawing on their professional design and architectural skills. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, creating an elegant, warm and inviting apartment, just as described on the website. A comprehensive guidebook written by the owners provides detailed instruction for each aspect of living in the home. Support is available directly with the owners or with the professional property manager, available by email or by phone. We found Melinda to be prompt in response, genuine in her ongoing regard for our time in Paris, and helpful in all ways. We rented this lovely space for the full month of april this year, and found its location unbeatable. Essentially in the Marais, we were within walking distance of the Opera, many museums, historical parks and squares, and lots of shopping, grocery stores, patisseries, and wonderful restaurants. We often shopped at the roving food market at Richard-Lenoir (one block away), for quiet dinners at the apartment, cooking in the apartment's well stocked kitchen. Notre Dame and the Ile de la Cite is just a 15 minute walk through wonderfully historic areas. For longer trips, the metro station is a few steps away. We just can't say enough about our overall experience with the 'Perfect Paris Rental.' If you're looking for a perfectly located, elegant studio apartment in Paris, this is it.
“Perfect Paris studio!”
Perfect Paris rental certainly lives up to it's name! We have recently returned from a wonderful break there. Melinda was very efficient in making the arrangements, which worked like clockwork. The apartment is in a very convenient and peaceful location yet moments from the metro. It is in a charming wisteria clad cobbled street. The flat was scrupulously clean and extremely well organised and arranged. Wonderful old beams and sunlight pouring into the room. The kitchen contained everything you could need. The shops are on the doorstep for essential French goodies. There is an extensive library of guide books. The nearby market looked very tempting. Just sad we were returning next day and could not stock up on amazing foods and flowers. Departure arrangements as efficient as everything else. We hope to return soon.
“A Great apartment + an Ideal Location = A Fantastic Stay in Pari”
We absolutely loved our stay at this apartment. It is well designed, comfortably furnished, and ideally located. The process of making a reservation is easy, the pre-arrival instructions are clear and concise and the welcome we received upon arrival was both friendly and informative. We occasionally took advantage of the nearby fresh produce market and the fully equipped kitchen to make some delicious lunches. But more often, we went out for lunch and dinner each day, walking to some of the hottest new restaurants in the 11th (Septime, Le 6 Paul Bert, Bones) or taking one of the three Metro lines that service the Place de la Bastille to explore restaurants in other arrondissements. Paris is indeed a walkable city, but it is great to have so many subway lines nearby. This is our 5th time staying in Melinda and arnie's apartment. One of the joys of returning each year is the pleasure of re-visiting our favorite haunts - The Brulerie Daval where the Madame roasts her own coffee beans, the Epicerie Saint-Sabin around the corner where Florence and Laurent offer a great selection of charcuterie and wines from the south of France, the Maison Karrenbauer, a wonderful patisserie that serves a variety of delightful treats. You aren't likely to find these listed in many guidebooks, but they are part of what make daily life in Paris - or at least our taste of it when we stay at this apartment -- so delicious. And we first discovered many of these places through the notebooks of recommendations you will find in the apartment. This apartment is first rate in terms of comfort, convenience and location. The wonders of Paris are waiting for you just outside your door. We can't wait until our next visit!
“Central Location, Private Passageway, Great Design”
Full disclosure: Melinda and arnie are San Francisco neighbors we've known for many years and arnie was our chosen architect for our house renovation. We were also their first guests after their Paris renovation was completed, seven years ago. This recent stay was our second in their wonderful Paris apartment and we were so excited to return. The apartment still seems new and everything we liked still holds true seven years later: the great central location, the quiet private passageway, the bright and open living area, the terrific kitchen, the comfortable bed and the overall design. The neighborhood has a varied local "vibe" from a farmer's market to bistros and local independent shops. The apartment is a perfect base from which to explore every part of Paris. Transportation is steps away. Then, at the end of a full day of exploring, coming home to a terrific apartment puts the icing on the Paris cake. We'll be back, we hope, many times!
“Another Perfect Holiday”
We keep coming back to this apartment for the same reasons that all the other delighted renters and reviewers do. It's lovely, comfortable, well-designed, impeccably clean, centrally located but in a pedestrian-only private street and it makes us feel like true parisians coming and going each day of our stay. Melinda is a hands-on organizer who can be relied on to answer all your questions and make your Paris experience smooth and easy. This wasn't our first stay in this gem of an apartment and it won't be our last. This is our Paris home. There's no better choice.
“Our Best Time in Paris!”
We are not newbies to Paris since my wife and I have stayed in hotels and in a couple of expensive rental apartments. But this one, PerfectParisRental.com is an great example of what the French call "un bon rapport qualité-prix." That means that you are getting an excellent value for your money. The other apartments were costly but definitely lacking something: good service, enough electric or natural light, a decent kitchen, a comfy bed, a good location. On the other hand, this one is reasonably priced and lacks nothing at all. The design is lovely and even surprising in its clever detail, the bed is comfy, the location central, the kitchen perfect and natural light fills the apartment. Plus the lighting fixtures selected by the designer are more than ample for food preparation and reading. There are top-of-the-line Tolomeo reading lamps, no less! Then there is an elevator, what a convenience! This apartment, in our opinion, is a rare find and an excellent quality/price value ratio. The service by Melinda and her team is 5-star hotel exceptional. In our opinion, you can't do better than to stay here.
“Perfect apartment, Perfect Location”
On our second visit to the Perfect Paris Rental, we again discovered interesting neighborhood shops and restaurants but we were really torn this time as to whether we wanted to eat all of our meals in restaurants or fix some at home. We love Bofinger and Paris/Hanoi and Septime among many others, so it's hard not to eat out all the time. But the outdoor market just outside the door is so completely tempting that we gave in and had a couple of meals in the apartment. The kitchen is better than the one we have in our apartment at home so it's it's great fun to use it. We really feel fortunate to have found this place since it meets all of our requirements and then truly exceeds them. We had hoped for a beautiful little home of our own for our Paris visits where we could feel like true Parisians. This apartment is in such a charming passageway that we were tempted to start going to real estate offices to see if there was another one like Perfect Paris Rental for sale. What were we thinking? We don't need to buy our own, we can always rent this one without any of the fuss and bother of redoing it to make it as Perfect. We'll just keep coming back to our perfect little getaway in Paris as long as arnie and Melinda allow. Thanks, both of you!
“Perfect Place in Paris”
For a "home base" during our stay there couldn't have been anything more perfect. Absolutely the best place to stay to enjoy Paris. The apart met is within walking distance to all the major attractions, and right by the Metro for the farther away ones. It is located on a cobblestone street closed to traffic, a bit of the "old world" right by the new one. The owners provided an instruction book for any questions on how things operate, and another book with great recommendations for everything from restaurants to shopping. High speed Internet access and land-line phone call back home were part of the package. The apartment was the perfect size for the two of us, not cramped. All facilities were ideal. There isn't anything at all negative to stay about this place. I am telling everyone that if you want to go to Paris, this is the place to stay!
“It's a bright and peaceful refuge from the hustle and bustle of”
We loved our stay in this bright and modern studio. A sense of peace descended on us whenever we entered the quiet, pedestrian lane where it is located, a few steps from the ultra-convenient Bastille Metro stop. Service from the owner, the manager, the cleaners and even the optional airport driver service was top notch. Food shopping and restaurants were close by.
“Forget Hotels in Paris”
Before we get to the apartment, let's talk about Melinda. From the moment I expressed interest in the apartment, she was an absolute pleasure. She is very organized, has great local recommendations and is totally committed to making your entire experience as good as it can be. In addition, she is always looking to improve and learn what her guests need and it shows. The apartment This was my first trip to Europe, and, accordingly, Paris. We had no interest in seeing a bunch of american tourists. We wanted a truly local, authentic, comfortable and cost effective alternative. Melinda and arnie's apartment fit the bill perfectly. Everything was organized down to the smallest detail. Once we arrived in the Bastille and the very cool Cour Damoye, we went upstairs to the apartment and it was perfect. The longer we were in the space, the more attention to detail we noticed. Every need we had for our 10 day stay was anticipated. It has a great little kitchen with everything you need to cook (if you are inclined). Alternatively, you can dive into your salamis, cheeses, baguettes, etc. from the outdoor market (30 seconds from our front door on Sundays and Thursdays). Buy everything you can carry! Also, make La Tradition du Pain your local boulangerie and patisserie. Croissants and double espressos every morning before you start your day. Beautiful breezes waft into your little oasis. The bed was very comfortable, books on Paris galore. One really great feature was the security of the outside gate. At night, the wrought iron gate is locked and accessible by residents only. Once you are inside, you feel very safe and secure. The whole point of Paris is to be outside exploring, eating, drinking and assimilating to your new neighborhood. We spent most of our time doing just that. Suffice it to say, Paris is surreal when you are there and like a dream after you have left. This apartment was the perfect complement to our trip. You will want for nothing.
