“Value, location, and amenities absolutely first rate.”
This unit was perfect for our purposes. The condo was well appointed and the kitchen was well outfitted. We were literally right across from Lawai Beach which had terrific snorkeling--actually the best that we had during our stay. Florence's instructions and recommendations were flawless and saved us hours of trial and error finding things. We are already planning our return trip. You CANNOT go wrong with this rental!
Response from the owner We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in both out condo and on this special island. It is our hope that all of our guests have a wonderful holiday filled with the things they like to do. We do offer a discount to returning guests and hope to host you again soon. Safe travels! Florence
“Prince Kuhio, Poipu, Kauai”
I really enjoyed our stay at this Condo. It was beautiful. The King size bed was a joy to sleep in. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with anything anyone could possibly want in a kitchen. We walked over to the small beach beside "The Beach House” every day. We snorkeled with the turtles, hiked Waimea Canyon and toured Kauai Coffee, saw the Spouting Horn almost every day, did a tour of the botanical gardens near by, went to Princeville, Lihae, hiked the Na Pali trail (just the first 2 miles and then up to the water fall) We bought tee-shirts at Pohaku's and said hi to Carol. Anyway, I could go on and on. The vacation in Kauai was wonderful and your condo was perfect. We couldn't ask for a nicer and better location to stay at so thank you for that.
Overall, the condo was nice. It was a good value and had an excellent price for location. The only complaint is that the overall condo was a little older. However, the location and place was excellent and walking to the beach across the street was wonderful. We had an excellent vacation in Kauai and would come again.
Response from the owner It is true that our complex was built in the sixties, but the building has had many upgrades. All new tile walk ways were installed in 2010, the studio hallways were redone and new lighting installed, new plumbing was done through out the building, the entire building was painted, and new glass sliding doors were installed on the lanais. Our complex has withstood two hurricanes and is in excellent shape. Our condo has been completely stripped and redone. New kitchen and bathroom cabinets with granite counters, new tile floors with all new living room and bedroom furnitures and a new tile shower. It is light and provides an excellent environment in which to have a wonderful vacation.
“Wonderful Stay at Prince Kuhio”
We had a fantastic time staying at #303 Prince Kuhio. We wanted a relaxing place to stay for our honeymoon, where we would be close to the beach, could cook our own meals, and that wasn't too expensive. This condo was all of those things. We loved sitting on the porch in the mornings with the ocean in view, and we could walk right to a great little beach (where we saw a monk seal and sea turtles). Many other nice beaches and fun sights were only a walk or short car ride away. I highly recommend this property for a couple looking for a relaxing place to stay for their trip to Hawai'i!
“Heaven at Poipu”
We had a delightful stay at Prince Kuhio. The condo was very clean, fully equiped with kitchen equipment and spices, etc. The view was good of the beach across the road and the Prince Kuhio Park and Memorial in full view. The BeachHouse is right across the street as are many little beaches. The king size bed was the best!! We would stay there again in a minute. We felt at home in this condo. This condo is close to everything in Poipu. Doreen and Roger Ross, Victoria, B.C.
This a very comfortable, clean condo right on the ocean. It's right next to 2 of the best snorkeling beaches on Kauai. One is great for seeing fish & coral & the other is great for seeing green sea turtles. We were so thrilled to stay in such a beautiful place and would stay there again in a heartbeat. The south side of Kauai is definitely THE place to be & this condo fits the bill perfectly. Highly recommended.
“Couldn't have better”
What a great place to stay. All our needs were met from salad spinner to beach chairs. We found the kitchen supplies of spices and condiments to be a real plus. Not only did we save on not having to purchase them, but the cook books allowed us to experiment with lots of local dishes. We have stayed in many time shares and this beat them all with every need being meet. The beach coolers, snorkel gear and books helped to keep our costs down and added to the enjoyment. The space was perfect, the bed comfortable, the view spectacular, snorkeling the best, the decor was lovely and the price was perfect. What a find - we will be back, hopefully longer next time..
“What a wonderful find!”
We really, really...enjoyed our visit to Kauai and your condo. We had rented through "Gloria's Vacation Rentals" for April 22-25th. I found your place with an Internet search. The price was right and the location was right where I wanted to be. Although I have generally had a good experience with Internet purchases and travel arrangements, I have also been burned. Fearing a "flea or roach infested dump" my sister who was also coming to Kauai, was so hesitant about staying anywhere I found on the Internet that she decided to stay at the Radisson Resort. Well, this was one of those glorious finds! I was impressed with the way Gloria's responded and completed the reservations. Very upfront and professional, the directions were easy to follow and made the whole process a breeze, no wasted time. It was easier than any hotel I have ever checked into or out of. Several days after our return I found the damage deposit check in the mail. Don't change a thing. About the condo...whoever does the cleaning needs to be congratulated. My wife runs her own cleaning service and gave the place a very thorough inspection. Right away, this is a priority for her, she checked the corners and the bathroom announcing that it was "super clean, even the trim and corners"! I can't tell you how relieved I was with that announcement! The view was super and I absolutely loved going to sleep with the sound of the ocean and the gentle sea breeze blowing through the jalousies. In the morning we watched the sun rise out over the park...the only complaint I have is the smell of the neighbors cooking their bacon...it drove me crazy until I could get ours going. Speaking of neighbors...no complaints, it was quiet and we hardly ever saw anyone during our stay. As for my sister and her fancy resort...when they stopped by on the way to the canyon she was green with envy.
