Guests at the Sunrise Retreat stay in one of 3 beautiful. private, fully self contained, air-conditioned Guest Houses catering for 2-3 persons each..

Guest House #1 caters for 2-3 guests, with a queen size bed in the open upstairs air-conditioned bedroom and a single bed in the downstairs living room area, fully self contained kitchen, TV/DVD, ipod docking station, air conditioning, wireless Internet, laundry facilities, en-suite bathroom with large shower, tropical garden and your own private veranda with a 2 person spa and ocean views. Pets are allowed outside only and a dog bed is provided.

Guest House #2 is our pet and wheelchair friendly, air-conditioned Studio style accommodation, fully tiled, with a queen size bed in the sleeping/living area with fully self contained kitchen, TV/DVD, ipod docking station, wireless Internet, en-suite bathroom as well as a veranda amongst the trees, all on one level. Pets are allowed inside and outside and a dog bed is provided.

Guest House #3 is air-conditioned Studio style accommodation with a queen size bed in the sleeping/living area, TV/DVD, ipod docking station, wireless Internet, with separate self contained kitchen and en-suite bathroom all on one level, as well as a veranda with magnificent ocean and valley views, well worth the 30 stairs leading to it. Pets are allowed outside only and a dog bed is provided.

Locally made natural soaps are provided and the pantry is equipped with seasonings, spices and oils and the basis of necessity for any chef (or cook!).

On arrival at the Sunrise Retreat, guests are welcomed with a tropical fruit platter and fresh cut tropical flowers.

Other features include a large entertaining area with a beautiful wet edge pool and a separate relaxation/sun deck with magnificent island and ocean views on the main house level.

Stay in one of these three beautiful, private, fully self-contained, air conditioned Guest Houses in a peaceful bush land setting, taking advantage of the magnificent ocean and mountain views just minutes from Port Douglas. Offering warm hospitality, the Sunrise Reteat is the ultimate place for a relaxing and romantic getaway. House rules

We ask all our guests to please take off their shoes before entering our Guest Houses and to please not drag their suitcases to prevent the wooden floors from getting scratched. The houses are fully fly screened and we spray a natural repellent around the property, but we do recommend insect repellent for personal use when exploring the area. When leaving the beach, PLEASE leave the sand where it belongs, clean your feet and shake your beach towels before entering your Guest House. Thank You!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Ulrike (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
