OVERVIEW

The Main House is a (2) story 100+ year old, recently completely renovated Conch house. The design of this property lends itself perfectly to small gatherings of families and friends.

The house can comfortably accommodate a maximum of eight (8) guests - (2) queen beds, (2) full beds, and (1) queen sleeper sofa in the living room.

The house has an open downstairs floor plan, and four (4) private bedrooms upstairs. There is a downstairs wrap-around porch, and a complimenting upstairs wrap around balcony, both of which overlook the pool, Jacuzzi, sundeck and Thomas Street.

KITCHEN

The house has a full kitchen (all cooking and eating utensils), Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (icemaker and serve thru ice and water dispenser), GE microwave, Whirlpool dishwasher, Corian countertops, maple cabinets, Braun coffeemaker, Krupps toaster.

There is a full size washer, and a full size dryer located at the rear of the house; and a stainless steel propane barbecue located on the pool deck.

The house is completely furnished with linens, towels, central A/C - ( 2) 2.5 ton Tranes), (6) 52" Hunter ceiling fans, cable TV, ADT Security System (24 hour central monitoring), (2) Sony 32" flat screen HDTVs, (1) Samsung 40" SMART flat screen HDTV, (ATT Uverse U300), Sony DVD/CD player, Panasonic CD/AM/FM player, and secured high speed wi-fi internet access.

MASTER BEDROOM

The master bedroom has a queen size bed, clothes closet, dresser, 52" Hunter ceiling fan, and a Sony 32" flatscreen HDTV (ATT Uverse U300).

SECOND BEDROOM

The second bedroom has a full size bed, clothes closet, a dresser, and a 52" Hunter ceiling fan.

THIRD BEDROOM

The third bedroom has one (1) queen bed, and dresser, and a 52" Hunter ceiling fan.

FOURTH BEDROOM

The fourth bedroom has one (1) full bed, a dresser, a 52" Hunter ceiling fan, and a Sony 32" flat screen HDTV (ATT Uverse U300).

COMMON ELEMENTS

The five (5) house compound is private and secure with a 30' x 10' heated main pool including a 5' x 10' heated Jacuzzi. In addition, there is a private 10' x 8' heated Jacuzzi. There are brick walkways, and a 40' x 10' sun deck, including a stainless steel propane barbecue, chaise lounges for sunbathing and relaxing; and tables and chairs for dining. Throughout the property there is secured wireless internet access, and 24 hour cctv security monitoring.

LANDSCAPING

The landscaping is lush including various tropical palm species, Poinciana, Spanish limes, avocado, bananas, hibiscus, bougainvillea, halliconias, bromeliads, and orchids, brick walkways.

EXCELLENT LOCATION

The gated compound is within easy walking or biking distance to everything in Old Town Key West, located at the corner of Thomas and Angela Streets - two (2) blocks from the center of Duval Street. In addition to being within easy walking and biking distance to Duval Street, and the best entertainment & dining on the island, the vacation property is located two (2) blocks from Fort Zachary Taylor State Park, the best beach and picnic area in Key West.

CHICKENS & ROOSTERS

The City of Key West protects chickens and roosters, and considers them as part of the history and charm of Key West. As a result, Key West and many of the islands throughout the Florida Keys have free-range chickens and roosters. You will definitely see and hear chickens and roosters during your stay in Key West. Some visitors to Key West love them, and some visitors hate them - personally, I enjoy them best roasted, with plantains, and black beans and rice!

Getting around

The best way to get around Key West is on a bicycle, which we have on the property available to our guests for a nominal fee - no need to rent bikes at an offsite location. Keep in mind that the island is only 2 miles by 4 miles, and during season, its much easier to park a bike than a car! (...and a little exercise is not such a bad thing)

Response from the owner Thanks to the Florida Keys ASPCA, the neighbor has been told to remove/ uncage the roosters and chickens; and the owner has been told to unchain his dog, allow him to run, and give him some attention. Unfortunately pets are at the mercy of their owners, and people that cannot properly care for them, should not be allowed to own them. Again thank you to the Florida Keys ASPCA for the educating the neighbor, and allowing the chickens, roosters and dog to live better lives!
