“A lovely relaxing holiday in a lovely place...”

Reviewed 5 Sep 2013

Having searched the internet high and low for a rental in Phuket, we finally chose to stay at "Coconut Lagoon" for 3 weeks in august. We were not disappointed neither by the location (quiet residential area, in a cul-de-sac not far from lovely beaches/restaurants/shops) nor by the villa itself. We loved the fact that there was food and drink in the fridge when we arrived, the possibility to have meals delivered for free at the villa and that we were taken for a drive around the area on our first day...This villa is one of 3 villas which are quite close to each other, but we only had one week in common with guests staying just opposite, so we had the place to ourselves for two weeks. These villas would be ideal for a group of friends wanting to rent together. The villa is simple, clean and practical. Having kids we appreciated having the fantastic pool in front of our terrasse, a washing-machine and the possibility to cook at home. The garden and pool are very well kept, housekeeping came once a week to clean the villa and change the sheets and towels. The houses are equipped with an alarm system and sensor lights and we felt safe. Jittra, the manager was always available to answer questions. We rented a car through Pla as it is essential to have a car to get around if you are staying for a while...She also helped us book some great outings. We mainly went to Nai Harn beach, just a few minutes drive away and had our dinners at Rawai Beach, including Coconut bar and restaurant (good food/good prices). Ken and his daughter Jasmine came round a few times to see how we were doing...Jasmine stayed to play with our daughters a few times and Ken gave us some useful tips. It was very nice knowing they care so much about their guests and want to make sure you have everything you need. August is considered as being in low season, but we had amazing weather. Basically, we would recommend "coconut paradise villas" to anybody wanting to stay in Phuket.

“A well organised and friendly experience”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2011

Coconut Paradise is quietly tucked away but within easy reach of anything you need. Nearest small bars/restaurants are about 10mins walk inland. For more choice walk 20mins to the sea front/beach at Rawai. Taxis, scooter or car hire are cheap enough to enable you to explore the wonderful beaches and scenery. Rawai was clean, pleasant and unhurried. It was fairly quiet (In august) which made the stay very relaxing. A visit to Patong told a different story, very much like a mini Bangkok, hustle and bustle and plenty of lively bars at night. Sharp contrast but well worth a look. Must do trips to the local islands are easily and personally arranged simply by calling from the phone that is available in the villa. The Coconut Paradise experience is tailored to make your stay enjoyable. Great service, advice and recommendations and very friendly people made our holiday even more enjoyable. The food at Coconut Paradise Bistro is fantastic and also with the chance to sit with a nice cold beer and watch the world go by. Perfect. Many thanks Ken, Tip and "The team" for all you did for us. “Place to stay and enjoy”

When we arrived even I was surprised at the quality of the place for four adults, and the level of help and service. Perfect, just perfect. Very new and so clean. We had everything we needed. I liked the pool area was a haven for us. Like a special and exclusive place. The villa is located in a very quite area, where is no noise during the day and the night. It is just a 5 minutes drive with the Scooter to the beach, supermarket or restaurants and bars. We used some of the extra services on offer, i.e. travelling around to the islands, and this was done without any hassle due to the awesome travel agent Pla. That was a good feature too. We felt safe and could ask them anything. So helpful, and always with a smile. Can't really think of anything to criticise. I recommend this place and will go back.

“Paradise endorsed”

Reviewed 17 Mar 2011

What a holiday! Sometimes pictures and details of holiday villas and accommodation are no more than poetic licence, but this one held up to its glorious description. It really was perfect in every way. Tucked away far from the madding crowd amongst coconut palms, perfumed orchids and vibrant bougainvilleas it was so peaceful. It is a credit to owners Ken and Tip who turned out to be not only courteous, helpful and friendly, but such fun as well. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them and they made sure we had absolutely everything we wanted. We will certainly return - hopefully for longer next year.

“great, almost perfect, would very much like to come again”

Ken and Tip welcomed us in their little tropical paradise, the house and the garden, the pool , all very nice and clean made a great first impression on us. Very important : the location of the villa is in a quiet neighbourhod, although not far from the main street, so you can move back and forth easiliy, shops, pharmacy, everything you may need is really close by. In a nutshell : one of he best places I've been on vacation(and I travel a lot),appreciate the comfort and the attention for all the details starting with the interior of the house, the service and their hospitality ,is worth 5 stars, really!

“Best accomodation in Phuket!”

Staying at Coconut Lagoon was definetly a great choise for our 6 days in Phuket. The villas and the garden looked exactly like a Paradise corner. Ken, the staff and his freinds, our neighbours, were more than friendly and helpfull. This place is great if you would like to stay away from the crowded and bazar like area of Patong. You have pleanty to do in Rawai, great restaurants, night bars with nice people and many expats. It is also very easy to reach the smaller and idilic islands in the south. You can rent a long tail boat from the pier and you can visit the beautifull beaches overthere. Try to go to Raya (Racha) island, the most beautyifull and less crowded from all. It's a little bit further, but definetly worth it. We went there by speed boat, but I foud the trip too short: at 3 pm already we had to leave the island. So try to negociate with a long tail boat and stay until evening. I would also recommend the fish market in Rawai, where you can buy fresh fish and sea fruits in the evening. You can try to cook it home, since you have in the villa everithing you need, but I recommend to try also one of the restaurants opposite to the market, where you can bring the fresh fish and they will cook it for you in any style you want. We tried the garlic fish (the red type) and it was amazing. For the evenings, you can go to the Coconut Bar &Restaurant; in the same area and try the great cocktails. The food is also very good there. If you need airport transfer or you want to rent a car or scooter, Ken can put you in contact with a turist agent to arrange everything for you for a good price. I can say it was the best treatment that I had for a holliday rental thanks to Ken and his freinds. So I hope we will be able to come back one day.

“A Great Choice!”

We stayed at the Coconut Lagoon villa for 8 days. We had a fabulous time there. From the day we arrived, Ken made sure that we were comfortable and he even took us grocery shopping at the nearby store. We ordered food quite a few times from their restaurant in Rawai. The delivery service is prompt and free of cost for the guests at the villa. We found the food to be very reasonably priced. Throughout our vacation all the staff and the agencies they work gave a personal touch...something one would miss if one stays in a big hotel. We really enjoyed our stay there and are planning to visit again.

“Away from the crowds”

Reviewed 14 Jul 2010

We enjoyed our stay in the Coconut Lagoon villa at Coconut Paradise. These villas are surrounded by gardens and have everything you'd need on a holiday (pool outside the villa), and provide the opportunity to cook at home if you choose to do so. Information in the villa about things to do was very useful, and the hosts were always happy to answer our questions. The local beaches were relatively uncrowded during our stay, and the general location is away from the much busier Patong, Karon and Kata beaches. Even though you typically need a taxi to get to places the service from the recommended local taxi service was outstanding and relatively inexpensive.

“Poolside paradise”

Reviewed 28 Jun 2010

Our stay at Coconut Paradise exceeded all our expectations. The price was great, the gardens and pools were beautiful and our two-bedoom villa was well-appointed with everything we needed and wanted, including a couple of cold beers waiting for us in the refrigerator. All we wanted to do with this holiday was to relax and make sure our three-year-old had a great experience. That was easy at Coconut Paradise, with a pool just outside the door, perfect weather (despite us going in the supposed onset of the rainy season) and beautiful beaches just a short drive away. Our hosts Ken, Tip and Jasmine were very helpful with any arrangements we wanted to make (taxis, car rental, Thai massage, good places to eat, places to see, etc.), and their recommendations were always good ones – the Thai massage, for example, was the best massage my wife ever had. We hope to be back some day. Soon.
