“It was the difference between a good holiday and great holiday.”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2013

When you book online you don't always know what your going to get but this Villa was everything it said it was going to be and more.It was a stones throw from coming off the boat and if you don't mind climbing stairs, 72 in our case this, this was just perfect for our family. The boys aged 2 and 6, didn't mind the climb every day and the views from the garden and windows every day were just lovely. Rupert (the owner) was very helpful and his local knowledge was a great insight of the places to go and happening with in the Hvar area. Nothing seemed to be a problem which helped our stay even more. We most certainly would recommend this place for any one with a young family or not.Its just ideal and a very charming Villa. Its in a great location to the town but its the way you are looked after by the owner, clean sheets, towels etc that helps make this just perfect. I hope you enjoy this place as much as we did.

“Great Stay in Hvar”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2013

This Hvar guesthouse is one of the best we've stayed in during our extensive 8 weeks European holidays, this summer. We (two couples) stayed for 5 days and had a great stay on the island. We found Rupert the owner a great host. He was there to welcome us having assisted with ferry plans and transfer from Sucuraj. After the tour of the house he walked with us into town giving lot's of helpful advice. The house is beautiful, it has a homely atmosphere and is equipped with everything needed. The roof terrace views to town harbor and the islands is just stunning and a great way to start (with a coffee)and end(with a good drink)each of our days. It is centrally located about 5 minutes stroll to the Hvar town. A great five star experience and stay. Highly recommended.

“Wonderful Holiday Home in Hvar”

Reviewed 29 Jun 2013

Lavender Heights is a gorgeous place to relax and unwind and Rupert is a charming and very helpful host. This was our second visit to the house and it was just as good as we remembered. Breakfast and early evening drinks on the roof terrace were a particular treat because of the stunning panoramic view over the Pakleni Islands and the boats coming in and out of the harbour. The house has all the comforts needed for a home from home. Most nights we ate in the delicious eateries in the centre which is within a few minutes walk but we also enjoyed some great barbecues in the lovely garden. Mlini beach is one of our favourite places during the day, which, whilst small, is absolutely stunning - grilled sardines looking out over the crystal clear sea were wonderful. Whilst Hvar is becoming increasingly popular and consequently busier it's still a magical place and Lavender Heights a wonderful place to stay.

“A relaxing haven”

We spent 2 weeks at Lavender Heights. The property is in a great location with beautiful views & equipped with everything you need for a relaxing & comfortable stay. Rupert is a great host & made sure we had everything we needed. If you want to enjoy all the charms of Hvar with easy access to the centre but with space to spread out in a private & spacious villa...this is the place to stay.

“Magical island, magical house, magical holiday”

Reviewed 17 Oct 2012

Lavender Heights is truley a Hvar island must for your holiday. Nothing can compare to this delightful stone house, absolutely gorgeous. From the moment your walk through the gate you will be totally blowen away with this place. Every room is so tasteful, but still keeping the tradition in a modern way. Rupert is extremely helpful, and we could not fault the service we recieved from start to finish. The views from the house are glorious, looking out over the harbour and nearby islands, we enjoyed many beautiful sunsets from the first floor verandah. It was a short stroll to many lovely restaurants and shops and we found the beach around by one of the hotels the best. Hvar is a totally fantastic destination, we were amazed at the friendly and professional service just everywhere, well done.

By far the best accomodation we stayed in in croatia !!!. Rupert was very helpful both prior to our arrival and whilst we were there especially with our 16 year old daughter who was on crutches ! . The appartment is well situated just above hvar town and has everything that you would expect from a 5 star accomodation . we hope to return soon and woul recommend this accomodation to anyone thinking of staying in hvar . Thankyou once again Rupert

We stayed at Rupert's beautiful house for two weeks and everything was just perfect. The house is done in every detail, charming and having everything you need for a summer holiday. The view is magnificent,Pakleni islands are on your hand. Our 5 year old daughter liked her bedroom very much, even her own bathroom. Just head for the local market and enjoy cooking either inside or bbq in the courtyard. If not, there are plenty good restaurants just few steps away, try Gariful under the house for best fish. We are coming back!!!

“Gorgeous stone villa in a beautiful location!”

Reviewed 1 Jun 2012

Myself, my husband and two other married friends stayed in Rupert's stone villa for 5 days in May 2012. Unbelievable barely describes it. From the start, after contacting via Tripadvisor, Rupert answered all of my questions in an extremely timely manner (considering the time difference). He even helped me with flight suggestions from the us! He was an absolute joy to work with. I truly hope to see him again someday. The villa itself is stunning. A beautiful patio with a stone grill, table, and umbrella, sun/lounge chairs etc. is the first thing you see upon entering the gate. Once inside the house, the many windows light the quaint living area and beautiful kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped with almost everything I have back home. The 4 of us made dinner twice while in Hvar. A set of smooth, winding wooden stairs lead up to the bedrooms. There is one bedroom on the second floor with two single beds, that were easily pushed together, and the top floor has another room with a full sized bed. Both rooms are elegantly decorated, complete with one wall being open stone. In terms of location, the house is a very short walk to the town center, to which you walk through beautiful cobblestone streets, lined with shops managed by very friendly owners. Rupert's agency is also in the town, and he is easily accessible and willing to help out if anything is needed. Our friends accidentally left a credit card in Dubrovnik and Rupert happily helped them get it back! Hvar is a wonderful island in the adriatic and I hope to go back one day...preferably on my own yacht! (One can dream!!) I will be certain to let Rupert know. :) I highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a perfect stay in Hvar! In fact, stop reading right now and email him! You don't need to look any further.
