“It Doesn't Get Much Better Than This!”
My wife and I stayed at Isla Vista 5/23/15 - 5/30/15 and couldn't have asked for a better location, view, or included amenities. Cecilia was a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond anyone else that we had previously rented from. The house is located directly across from Buck Island. There are 3 kayaks available to use at the house and one morning we were lucky enough to kayak out to the island on our own. There was no one else there and it was breathtaking! We could not have been happier with our stay and I would recommend it to anyone that asked. You will not regret booking this for your next stay on St. Croix!
“Perfect Vacation Rental”
Our first Visit to St.Croix was a great experience thanks to Cecilia, owner and Property Manager Bobbi and her husband Bob. First let me say that Cecilia made me very comfortable from the start. I was planning a 30th wedding anniversary trip for my husband and I. We were both very uncertain about renting a vacation house for our first time from a stranger so far from home, but Cecilia made the process very simple. She answered many questions we had and offered so much more information about the property and the Island. We were very grateful for her insights. When we arrived at the airport we were greeted by Bobbie, what a delight she is and so knowledgeable about everything island life. When we arrived at the property it was paradise beyond our imagination. It is so much bigger than the pictures show and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. We were given a tour and instructions for everything in the house, making sure we were aware of all the amenities available to us No worries mon if you happen to forget something they showed you, they provide a House Reference which explains everything in detail. There is even a section all about things to do, great places to eat and favorite beaches to visit. Bobbie even provided her phone number and is just minutes away. Since it was off season when we visited, the island was not busy. Every meal we had at the house was on the veranda, with such spectacular views we didn't want to miss a minute. The outdoor grill was very nice to cook on when we didn't want to heat up the kitchen. Everything needed to prepare a meal was right there in the well implemented kitchen. With tropical rum beverages in hand, the blender proved to be the most valuable of all appliances. This house quickly feels like home! It is well cared for, very clean and everything was far beyond our expectations. We hope to visit Isle Vista again and bring the entire family. Thank you for the hospitality Cecilia, Bobbi and Bob!
“Cast-a-way Haven for those in need of recharging their battery's”
This was our first visit to St. Croix and it won't be our last. As long as Cecilia and John have such a wonderful island paradise to offer us to stay at. Bobbie (property mgr) and her husband (pool boy)were most accommodating. They took the time to assist us on places to eat, shop and hunt treasures. As for the villa, my wife (just married at Cotton Valley) could not say enough positive things about the property. The kitchen is fully appointed for all cooking needs, the bedrooms are all comfortable, and the pool a dream. The Master of the two large bedrooms is air-conditioned for those inquiring. I left that room for my wife and her aunt to stay in but the other rooms were very comfortable at night. One may take a siesta by the pool during the day as there is a covered lanai with many amenities. You have Internet service and satellite for entertainment with music stations for all tastes. It was so relaxing to have coffee by the pool as the sun came up or after dark with the twinkle lights outside. I can't say enough things in the alloted space for this review but I will say this: "we were so pleased and satisfied we are thinking of making our next stay 4 weeks instead of 1." This is as good if not better than a 5 Star Hotel and so much more fun. Plenty of floating devices for the pool or kayaking in the sea. If you think of something, it's there! The grounds are immaculate and the pool is serviced almost daily. You have a sweet lady that comes in once or twice (maybe more if you contract her) a week to tidy up. We, however, were so pleased with our secret hide-a-way that we did our best to keep it in tip top shape for our enjoyment the whole week. Btw, we loved this place so much we tied the knot at 13 hundred hours on the 13th of July, 2013. This villa is a must for those seeking paradise in the Vi's.
“Best Spot on the Island-Great Experience”
Found this gem of a spot and we will be going back. The home was so relaxing that I want to ask the owner if they would share the plans b\c we would love to build a replica in Texas. Check in was easy, they explained the home and different things. There was a nice gift basket left for us to enjoy. If you want to just relax and enjoy the ocean it is right there...open the huge windows, enjoy the breeze, and see it all. Kitchen, laundry, beds, everything was first class. After seeing the place we were really surprised b\c it is such a great value! Please feel free to contact me if you have reservations about renting a home instead of an all inclusive resort, this was definately better. (we went to dinner at the all inclusive, yikes..)
“Want to make all your friends jealous with pictures of where you”
If you are planning a trip to St. Croix, then you are well aware of the natural beauty that the island has to offer. My favorite thing about staying in this beautiful house is being able to wake up, walk 50 feet onto our own private beach, and jump off the beautiful dock into the ocean. The house plays with the indoor/outdoor space, by providing a patio area that you may not want to leave. We rarely did, unless we had to. The nicest thing about staying in a home instead of a hotel are the amenities. Having a fully decked out kitchen, full living room, and several bedrooms allows you to feel comfortable, spread out and truly relax. We Bbq'd and cooked variations of fish tacos almost every day, and of course the fish were freshly caught that morning. : ) Other things that the house has to offer are a private swimming pool, several kayaks, various sports equipment, a big area to entertain, so should you make some friends on island, you may invite them over, just like you would at home. My family has now been going to St. Crois for 10+ years, and every time we go, we don't book anywhere else, but at this beautiful home. We see it as our 'home away from home,' and I'm sure you will too after just one stay. Cheers!
“Great House, Great Views, Great Location and Great Hospitality!!”
Our wonderful visit to the house started with the owner's representative meeting us at the airport to escort us to the house and familiarize us with it. We were surprised to see a generous care package with goodies when we arrived. It was a perfect house for 6 of us and the kids really enjoyed all the house has to offer. The pool is a great way to cool off and the outdoor areas offer a small kitchen plenty of covered areas with fans and lighting and plenty of sunning space too. Kids enjoyed all the wildlife and finding hermit crabs and shells on the beach in front of the house. Great having a lime tree right on site too. Great to have access to full modern kitchen and two outdoor grills. We found it very convenient to some of the better restaurants on the north side. Kayaks can in handy for paddling around and seeing all the ocean has to offer too. There is outstanding snorkeling in front of the house. We saw sting rays, moray eels and a good variety of fish. You can venture to Buck Island with Captail Lewellen from St. Croix yacht club which is a little more laid back than Christiansted. The only disappointment was having to leave! We would highly recommend this great hosue in a great location.
“Absoutly Beautiful Spot”
We had a tremendous time at Isla Vista. The pictures do not do it justice. It is beautiful both inside and out. Our time there could not have been more relaxing and pleasurable. The property is very well maintained , the grounds are well kept and the house spotless. The view to Buck Island and the passing of boats was entertaining. We would, and probably will, stay there again.
“Perfect Place for Rest & Relaxation!”
This home is beautiful and had everything needed for a wonderful stay for two families of three. We had 2 bedrooms for the adults and a third bedroom for the girls. The beds were very comfortable, and waking up with a view of the ocean was wonderful. The kitchen had all the appliances needed and it was great to be able to share the condiments on the shelves. The veranda was our favorite spot to gather, catch the cross breeze while eating dinner, playing cards or just relaxing on the lounge chairs. We enjoyed the pool, but spent more time snorkeling off the beach. There is not a lot of beach area, but we enjoyed every morning and evening on the new dock watching the sun rise and set with hot coffee or cocktails in hand. Everything listed on the website is there. The property manager, Gail, was wonderful. She met us at the airport to lead us to the property, and checked on us a couple of times during our stay. She was very helpful providing information about restaurants on the island. We highly recommend pizza at "Off the Wall". Our trip to Buck Island was wonderful and snorkeling visibility is excellent. We enjoyed our trip to the Cruzan Rum Factory and now wish we would have bought our allotment of two cases instead of one. We did go see the beer drinking pigs and ate at the little roadside restaurant and the food was surprisingly good. Our hike to the tide pools took longer than we expected, but it was worth it. Be sure to wear good fitting shoes, no flip flops. The "Deep End Bar & Grill" had good food as well as "Rowdy Joe's" (homemade ice cream!) and "Duggans". The Island is not that big, and we had no problem getting around. Our weather in July was excellent .Cecilia was great to work with in setting up our stay and mailing us some brochures prior to our visit. We are very happy that we took a chance on this home, because we had the most wonderful, relaxing 10 day vacation and we very highly recommend it to anyone who wants a carefree vacation.
Where to begin, after searching for hours upon hours on line to find the best place to stay in St. Croix, pouring thru hundreds of sites for vacation rentals, I kept coming back to Isla Vista, it is by far the best deal out there. The home is absolutly beautiful and definatly lives up to the reviews and pictures. My husband and I spent 7 days and I have not been that relaxed in I don't know how long. We are already planning our trip for next year, this time maybe two weeks and there is no where else we will stay but here. Cecilia was so helpfull and Gale is just awesome.
“So exceptional, I have scheduled another stay there next month”
From the moment your schedule your stay you are treated like family. Gale, the property manager greets you at the airport and escorts you to the property. You can arrange for her to purchase a few items for your arrival. The house, grounds and pool are incredible . A view to die for.You feel so much at home there really isn't any need to leave. It isn't often that a property lives up to ones expectations. This property, however, far exceeded mine!
