“Villa Stein is truly the best whale watching house in Pedregal!”
From the moment of our arrival to the day of our departure we were just so pleased with Villa Stein and the awesome staff. The house, the grounds, the pool and deck were stunning. We went to sleep to the sound of the surf and woke up to a beautiful sunrise over the Pacific. Villa Stein is a luxury accommodation and very well appointed. Make sure to have Ismael cook for you at least once! Simply outstanding!! Enjoyed his afternoon margaritas and quesadillas so much!
“A Great Place for a Mexican Getaway”
A group of 8 of us recently stayed at Villa Stein for a 30th birthday party celebration. We basically wanted a place that we could use as a home base, and then go out and do activities as we pleased. The house itself is amazing! With all the rooms and beds, everyone had their own space and room to make themselves at home. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils so we could do a little cooking ourselves (take advantage of the pre-stocking option - it's totally worth the price to not have to deal with stopping for supplies). The pool was out of this world!! We, of course, spent much of our time hanging around the pool and taking in the amazing view. The pool kind of sticks out from the cliff a little bit so you get unobstructed panoramic views of Pedregal beach, the rock, and watching the fishing boats leave the marina. I highly suggest you get up early to catch a sunrise. Also, the swim up bar was definitely taken advantage of... As far as location, this would be a great place to stay if you have rented a car, since it is a ways up the hill, however, our group of 8 didn't have a rental car and just called taxis to get us to and from the house, which wasn't a problem at all. We actually preferred the taxi method so no one had to worry about driving around/parking/etc. The on-site staff was also great! I was a little nervous about having staff members around all the time (just because I've never had that before), but they were so accommodating and nice. If we neededanything at all, we could ask them. Ishamel makes a mean margarita when you arrive, which was such a great way to start a vacation. As for booking, we had no trouble at all and everyone was very helpful while we went through the process of booking the house. Very professional and very quick to respond to the many questions I had about the trip. Our group had a great time at Villa Stein and would definitely stay there again the next time we head to Cabo.
Our expectations: 1) Dynamic ocean views 2) Sounds of the surf 3) Relaxation & tranquility 4) Safety all of the above were met and then some. The house, pool and hospitality only added to our experience. Our hosts were awesome from ownership to Ishmael (I highly recommend his Marg's & quesadillas). Be sure to catch a sunrise from the master bedroom or from poolside, possibly the most beautiful sunrise my wife and I have seen. Catching a couple of Marlin with my son made the stay complete. We have been to Cabo on mutiple occasions and we highly recommend VillaStein. The Johnson Family Texas
Response from the manager Thank you so much for your kind words regarding our villa and staff: we look forward to welcoming you back!
“Perfect Spring Break trip!”
Our family of five had a wonderful Spring Break stay at Villa Stein. Each kid had a private room with full bath--one even had her own private hot tub! The house is clean and well-appointed with every convenience and luxury that makes a vacation great. We were greeted on arrival with a huge bowl of guacamole, shrimp sauteed in butter, cheese quesadillas, and margaritas. This was our best Cabo trip yet!
“Doesn't Get Better!!!”
My wife and I just returned from an incredible 4 days at Villa Stein. Our goal was to get away and truly relax, which was accomplished. I've never returned from a vacation more relaxed... Ismael was awesome, always willing and happy to go out of his way to make our stay the best it could be. He ran to the store for us when we ran out of beer, got to love that! He'd mix up some of the best margaritas and guacamole each evening for "happy hour". One night we planned to head into town for dinner, but changed our minds as we were tired from a long hike on Pedregal beach, he ordered and picked it up for us. The pool and palapa pool bar are amazing, it's like you are floating with the clouds, a cool experience. The pool also has fish tank glass in it so you can see down to the beach hundreds of feet below. I've been to many nice villas and resorts, never have I seen anything like it, truly unique. Be sure to bring your swimming goggles to enjoy the view. Another cool benefit of Villa Stein is the bird watching, we were fortunate enough to catch Osprey birds perform crazy acrobatics and hunt, the hawks were great as well. Lastly, Bill and Caroline were truly incredible hosts. Caroline was easy to work with on setting up the reservation and everything was as it shows in the pictures and described to us by her. Bill built Villa Stein and is a wealth of knowledge about Cabo, it's history and the current happenings. They were completely unobtrusive, but at the same time happy to help. I'm already booking my return trip for our anniversary in a month, I can't wait to get back. Mike and Julie Wootton
Response from the manager Thank you Mike and Julie for your lovely review of our villa and we look forward to welcoming you back soon!
“Perfect vacation rental for groups”
Went to Villa Stein with a group of friends and had a blast. The location is great - you are secluded, but it is a short cab ride to downtown. Accommodations are clean, well-kept and offer a mix of common space and privacy for each of the rooms. The contacts and help made the trip incredibly seamless. Definitely recommend Villa Stein.
“Breathtaking, serene and relaxing”
I stayed at Villa Stein to relax and enjoy the lovely scenery. It overlooks the Pacific ocean right on the tip of the Baha. The Villa is absolutely gorgeous and luxurious. The owners, housekeeper and house boy make you feel so welcome and pampered. It was not my first nor will it be my last visit there. I plan on going again next Spring. There are numerous outings available. All of which are very enjoyable. Out of 5 stars, I would give Villa Stein 10 stars!!
Breathtaking View! That is the first thing that hits you when you walk in. Look out from the spacious living area, across a stunning pool w/wet bar palapa, and you see the ocean and beaches that will "knock your socks off". We loved loved loved our stay there and would highly recommend it for a group or a romantic couple, like us. There are additional private bedroom for guests or family but the main villa rental has a lovely bedroom and bath with large bright kitchen. We would love to come back with family and/or friends. The pool has a heated jacuzzi that is just perfect for a romantic evening under the stars. Staff is great and anything but obtrusive. Highly recommend.
“George's 50th Birthday Get away”
The drive up to the house is long and curvy and there is really no possible way to walk to the city or back to the house but once you arrive - The view is gorgeous, the pool and sunk-in palapa bar are amazing. Ismael (the house-man) and the lady who cleans are amazing - they make the best guacamole ever and were very helpful - especially Ismael - whatever we needed he made it happen - from ordering taxi's to recommending amazing restaurants. As far as the rooms - I was personally in the Jacuzzi room - I thought it would be very romantic for my husband and I to have this beautiful jacuzzi in our bathroom and that is why I gave up the master on the main floor - since we had first choice of rooms since we were hosting - well it would have been great if the jacuzzi would have been working - it never worked - Ismael did his very best but it just would not hold water and the bathroom was so incredibly hot when I was doing my hair and makeup that it really annoyed me - but the actual room was nice and cool - it was the weirdest thing - the floor was so incredibly hot that it made the whole bathroom a steam unit. but over all my other guests loved the house and we enjoyed our stay.
Response from the manager it is possible to walk to town from the house, it might not seem that way when you drive up because of the one way road system in Pedregal. Many guests walk to town and then catch a cab back to avoid walking the hill. Unfortunately, twice the water from the jacuzzi in the upper suite did run out but it was refilled and it was working during the guests stay. The house has 2 hot -tubs, one in the jacuzzi suite and the other cascades to the pool. If the jacuzzi heater is left on for long period, the floor does get warm from the pipes. We are so glad that the guests loved the views, pool, swim up bar and our fantastic staff, Ismael and Pilar!
We had a super time, went with a a big group and had about five houses. Villa Stain was the best by far! The pictures don't do the villa justice the views are breathtaking - stirling
