“Made our trip to Rome Perfect!!!”

Reviewed 11 Feb 2014

Our weeklong stay in Julia's apartment was fabulous-made our trip to Rome perfect! Julia is a host like no other. She arranged to have us picked up from the airport and met us when we were dropped off. We unwittingly arrived during flooding in Rome and due to the apartment having no electricity, Julia put us up in a B&B; around the corner for the first night. All was fixed up by the next day and we were able to move in to her apartment. She went above and beyond to make us happy and comfortable. She took us on a walking tour of the area around her building so we could get our bearings quickly. She offered us suggestions on what to see, where to go and how to get there. Excellent location to the Vatican (5 minute walk) and everything else we wanted to see was within walking distance too. She gave us a cell phone to use for the week and was very attentive to our needs. Her apartment was a perfect size for our family and it was very cosy. We decided to stay at Julia's place due to the positive reviews and we are happy to be able to add to them. In a nutshell, Julia is wonderful!

“Perfect Host”

Reviewed 20 Feb 2013

Julia is an excellent host and was extremely helpful to me in securing accommodations. Incidentally, I didn't actually stay at her b&b; only because I hadn't made any reservations and happened to travel to Rome on a whim from Florence; her b&b; was booked for the 4 days I was in the area. Julia was kind enough to coordinate all of my accommodations at another b&b; this included securing a reservation, providing me with exact directions to the destination, and following-up with me to ensure I arrived with no issue. Julia coordinated these logistics with me over the phone and email. Though I would have loved to stay at Casa Giulia during those days, I will absolutely book her b&b; next time I travel to The Vatican. Julia's kindness and helpfulness is a true testament to her character...her willingness to go above and beyond to help me like that really gives credence to the level of service you will receive at Casa Giulia.

“Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung in zentraler Lage”

“Vatican Gem”

We had a wonderful experience at Casa Giulia Roma...This was our first trip to Rome so we needed so much help..Giulia provided everything we needed ...A terrific driver/tour guide...Information about sights we were interested in,including coveted reservations at the Borgese Museum(You need reservations). The apartment was stylish and confortable. Giulia had stocked the very cute kitchen with all the essentials we needed.. the neighborhood was very safe.Local stores were terrific to buy fresh italian cheese, bread ,fruit and all the things you may need. We were able to walk to the vatican from the apartment which was increadable. it is also very close to all ground transportation. When you stay at Casa Giulia you will be treated like family and for us that was so very important...We cannot wait to go back to Rome

“we will stay friends and will definitely come back”

Reviewed 8 Apr 2012

Giulia sent us a driver from the airport to Casa Giulia. Alessandro cared for a comfortable transfer. He was very relieable and polite. Thanks to Giulia, for this good choice. We arrived at Casa Giulia, where Julia was waiting for us. She explained everything about the appartment (water, gas, electricity, television, internet-shop )to us. She told us about the shops around the house (they were very easy to reach). In the apartment you can find many informations for side-seeing. She asked for our whishes for breakfast, because she filled the refridgerater for the next morning everyday. So we could take our breakfast, when we wanted to. She left a telefon for contacting her for free if necessary. Everyday she came to the apartment at the arranged time to look for our whishes. If we were not there at that time, we left a note. The apartment was very clean. If you stay longer, you can clean your clothes in the washer. After some practice we went very cheap and fast in the town by metro, bus and train. It is not allowed to smoke in the rooms. If you smoke, there is no balcony. The apartment is very secure. We got a key for the garden gate, the main entrance and the frontdoor. Giulia was very sincere and we like her very much. If you stay with more than two persons, the couch is occupied for the third bed. Therefor seat cushion would be more confortable. The walkway to St. Peter's is about 10 minutes.

“Rome Holiday”

Excelent Julia was the perfect host. Our accomondation was very clean and very local only 6 or 7 minutes walk from the Vatican. We will definatly recomend it to our friends and would stay there again if we visit Rome

“Warm welcoming”

Reviewed 28 Sep 2011

“Quiet, local and next to all the main attractions”

Reviewed 13 Apr 2011

This vacation rental was located next to the vatican and walking distance to everything...I mean everything. My husband and I literally took a map and followed the signs. All the busses and trains stop one block from this location. There is a butcher/meat market across the street and a fruit and vegetable stand next door. This location is off the beaten path so you can enjoy the local cusine and great prices. Everyone was so friendly. Julia helped us navigate all around Rome and kept in contact with us using a cell phone she provided. It was amazing. We will be there again next year. Ciao.

“Wonderful stay in Rome”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2010

Stayed with a friend for three days last July. Excellent stay: Casa Giulia Roma is cosy, comfortable, very quiet (so important in Rome!!), spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The area is very safe and easily reached by all means of trasport (train, tube and buses). Plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants nearby. Giulia is extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommended to everyone: families with children, groups of friends, couples.
