“I could live here forever!”
This is a tremendous property in every respect. We were a group of eight (there was room for at least another couple comfortably) Americans and booked for four nights. We could not think of a single negative. Bernie and Adele went all out to make this pace very very livable. -Everything was beyond well stocked. Not just six or eight dishes, but dozens of matching dishes, glasses and cups of varying sizes. Fully stocked kitchen. -The showers, bathrooms and WCs were great. Clean, well designed and in working order. Somewhat rare in France. -Having a washer and dryer is fantastic. Directions to all appliances nicely available -Plenty of space everywhere. -The location of the home is perfect. Just perfect. Walkable to everything. And Sarlat is such a wonderful city, with for what it offers and the things that are nearby. If you are considering this property, go ahead and book it. You can not do better!
“Cozy place in Sarlat center”
If you want to enjoy Perigord in a nice french way, this house is your place. We were a group of six friends and the house was one of the best part of our trip. It's beautiful, comfortable and very, very cozy. Nice place as the trip center within the Perigord. I don't doubt in recommending this place to my closed friends.
“Sarlat april 2012”
Lovely house which is perfectly located in the old part of the town. The supermarket, bakery etc are close by. The house is also well-equipped and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The house is a home rather than just rental accommodation and this is a big part of what makes it so pleasant. The preliminary emails with instructions and the manual with information and instructions on how to operate the equipment, find free parking etc and the information about the area are also very helpful.
“Perfect Home in a Perfect Town”
Residence Reygate is a delightful French townhouse in the perfect town of Sarlat. The house has every convenience and the owner provides easy instructions for operating French appliances. Sarlat is a perfect base for exploring the chateaux of the Dordogne region. We are planning to return often!
“Wonderful all in all”
We stayed for 6 nights, my family of 4 and my brother and his wife. It was just nice - the rooms, the kitchen, the utilities and best of all the location. We were so fortunate to find this place and had wonderful support from the owner in payment, etc.
“Comfortable, affordable accommodations for an extended family.”
We needed lodging for up to 7 people during the month of July, and Residence Reygate was perfect. We love to cook, and the kitchen was well furnished so that we could buy food at the markets and prepare it at home. The terrace is charming - perfect for breakfast or a leisurely dinner. The bedrooms are on the two upstairs floors, so be prepared for stairs, but there's a bathroom on each floor. Maintenance questions were answered promptly and cordially. We couldn't recommend this house more highly!
“Sarlat is the perfect place to experience the charm of the Dordo”
We enjoyed our stay in Residence Reygate and would go again tomorrow given half the chance. The home is perfect for a group of people; because the bedrooms are large and each one quite isolated from the other; giving privacy. The living rooms and patio are well sized for guests to find their own spot to read or come together to enjoy meals and chats. The home is brilliantly situated in the town; one can park one's car nearby and yet the town and all its charm are only a few metres from the house. It is easy to acquire food and the markets are quite superb; reflecting the quality produce of the area. The home is comfortable and the amenities certainly served our group of 5 (3 different families)very well. To live in a Medieval town for a week and explore the region have left great memories. Canoeing the Dordogne River on a hot summer's day is a memory that will remain with us forever.
“Just what is needed to break away from the big European cities”
This place was brilliant in every respect. It came recommended to me from a friend's personal experience and I am happy to do the same. The location, the quality of the house and its fitting together with the detailed assistance provided leaves you with little to want for. The attention to little details kept providing surprise after surprise. One place I will definitely return to and do all the things I didn't find the time to do. The website photo gallery and information provided says the rest.
“Fantastic Home away from Home”
We had a wonderful time at Residence Reygate Perfect position, memorable experience, comfortable and warm feeling, felt so much like home. We would certainly consider another visit. Thank you so much for opening your holiday home up for aussie travellers like us we will treasure our visit. thank you so much Gail and Karl Bowden Brisbane
“Excellent rental house. Great location in a great town”
We stayed at Residence Reygate in august with two other couples and the house was perfect. With 3 floors, this is a suprisingly big house so you certainly don't feel cramped for space and the courtyard is a brilliant place to kick back with a wine at the end of a days sight seeing. The house is very well maintained, nicely decorated and well kitted out with a good kitchen, washing machine/dryer and a large TV area. We had some extremely hot days during our week in Sarlat (as high as 40c on one day) but the house stayed very cool, no doubt due to the very thick walls that used to be part of the cities original wall. The location is also good, with the house being only a short walk from the town centre and the Saturday markets which are great fun. If you're looking for a good place to stay in the Dordogne, Sarlat is certainly a town with plenty to see and do and this is a very nice place to stay in Sarlat.
