“Unos dias como en casa...o mejor”

Reviewed 15 Apr 2012

“Simply Perfect”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2012

we had the most marvellous stay at Chez Grady. the gite is charming, immaculate and of a very high standard. it is also fully equipped for everything you could possibly need. Debbie & Steve are great hosts and are on hand to give advice on the local area, local markets and the excellent local produce (especially the wine). the location is perfect for those that like the beautiful countryside but also close enough to visit some of the larger towns in this region, which is what we did. we enjoyed the walled city of Carcassonne and the Canal Midi but I think our favourite day out was when we took our young son to the lake that Debbie had recommended, where we enjoyed the man made beach and the evening market. we were fortunate enough to be there for the village fete, which was a great weekend of celebration, fun and of course wine.

“Comfortable, clean & welcoming”

Reviewed 7 Mar 2010

Have stayed with Debbie & Steve a couple of times. They have done a great job converting part of their home into this very comfortable gite, with all modern facilities. They are excellent hosts - on hand if needed but respecting one's privacy and very much aware that it is your holiday home for the duration. The location is very handy for Carcassone, the canal du Midi & many local sites & attractions. Limoux is the nearest large & very pleasant market town. We have also stopped off in our campervan en route to Spain. Their large barn offers plenty of space + hook up and, if the gite is free, lovely shower to be had! They will also produce delicious meals on request. The only downside is the lack of facilities in the village, although there is bread delivery. Would thoroughly recommend for a quiet, typically French rural stay.

“hot summer 2009”

Reviewed 2 Mar 2010

a week in this house was a real treat. Steve and Debbie made sure we had fresh bread every morning, and fresh veg from their plot--they also helped us find great placs to visit, includung a swimming lake nearby. We thought the house was very comfortable--particularly when we followed the advice to keep it closed up in the hot daytime (though that ran against our norther instincts) The area is full of nice places to visit--big ones like Carcassonne, and little ones like the local villages and towns.
