We stayed at the Red Studio for 10 days with our 3 years old daughter, and we absolutely loved it. If we have a chance to come back to Paris again, we'll sure go back to the Red Studio. It located at very convenient location with 3 different short distance walking metro which easily access all around Paris. Tons of shops/ restaurants around the corner. The studio is very clean. Dominique is a very nice lady. She greeted us at the studio on time and she took time explain all the details of the studio and answered all travel questions that we had. We was so touch when she sent us an email at midnight about kids events for my daughter with details of the shows, direction, admission fees, etc. We'll choose Red studio again if we have a chance to come back to Paris.
“Wonderful Studio ~ Great Hosts”
The Red Studio is small, comfortable, and nicely appointed. It is clean and well-cared for by Dominique. She greeted us upon our arrival and thoroughly reviewed the Studio (its amenities include plenty of storage space, iron and board, well equipped kitchen area, travel books on shelves, washer/dryer, tiled shower) and the neighborhood. When you're in Paris you shouldn't be spending too much time in your lodgings so even though the Red Studio is small it is perfect. We were especially pleased with its central location ~ you can walk everywhere. If you're not walking Metro stations are close by. We stayed here on the recommendation of friends who had visited Paris five times. To them this was the perfect trip because of the Dominique and the Red Studio.
“Perfection - a home away from home in Paris!”
My husband and I have been to Paris on numerous occasions, but this last trip (for our twentieth anniversary) was, hands down, the very best. The reason? We stayed at the Red Studio! The location, in the 2nd arr. one block off of Rue Montorgueil, is wonderful - centrally located, full of great places for food, and not touristy. Coming back to the apartment after a day of sightseeing, walking up Rue Montorgueil was always our favorite part of the day. The apartment itself is small, but has everything a single or couple could need: A washer/dryer (in one!), a very comfortable pull out bed, a tiny but perfectly appointed kitchen, in addition to great design. The only drawback might be for those who have difficulty with stairs, as for most older buildings in Paris, there is no elevator. It's a couple flights up, so it's not wheelchair accessible, but it's an easy climb and the stairway itself is so charming, you won't mind a bit. The very best part of staying at the Red Studio, though, is the proprietors, Dominique and Serge. The met us there with a lovely gift of macarons from Laduree, and showed us all the amenities and how they worked, told us about the best places to shop and eat, then left us to our own devices. You won't meet more charming hosts anywhere else. The only advice I would give is to book well in advance. Such great amenities are in demand, but so, so worth the wait!
“The beating heart of Paris”
Perfect Paris apartment with all the necessary ingredients for a short or longer stay. Situated in the heart of a great restaurant and food precinct. The owners were lovely -very helpful and considerate. Extremely comfortable apartment which was a welcoming warm retreat on a cold Paris day. Plenty of hot water, comfy bed and helpful guidebooks. Great value for money.
This place was amazing and added to my experience of being a first timer in Paris. I stayed with my boyfriend for a week and it was one of the highlights in my Europe trip that spanned for 7 weeks. Our train was delayed so we got there 10-20 minutes later than the check-in time, but when we gave Dominique a call - she was so nice about it! Upon arrival, we were greeted with Dominique who is so friendly and welcoming. She even gave us a box of Laduree macarons! She showed us how to use everything and trust me - this apartment has everything! There was an ironing board, blow dryer, washing machine, laptop, free + fast wi-fi, oven, kettle, microwave, all the kitchen utensils and cutlery that you can possibly think of.. even a picnic basket!! There were heaps more.. but seriously - this apartment does have everything you need and more. It was also super clean as well. Location, location, location - it was next to Rue Montogrueil - a very famous street known for eateries (restaurants, bakeries, cheese shops, fruit shops.. anything you name it!) It was also very close to a metro - which I find in Paris is essential for getting around. She also had a crafty book that gave you some handy tips such as which bakeries to go to, what metro tickets you should buy etc. When we left, we were going to book a taxi to get to one of Paris' main station but she advised us to go out and wait for a taxi instead because it would be more expensive via phone. She helped us carry our luggages (we did quite a bit of shopping!) and waited with us on the road for a taxi outside! Thank you Dominique for such a great stay - we will definitely come back next time when we're in Paris!
“Excellent Stay at Centrally Located Studio”
This is a well laid out studio in the center of Paris and an excellent value. The studio is perfect for 1 or 2 and central both for walking and short metro rides to tourist sites. It is clean and modern, with small kitchen, bathroom and a fold out bed/couch. Plenty of storage in closets and shelves as the apartment has high ceilings. It's on the 2nd floor so not appropriate for the disabled but fine for anyone without mobility problems. I have some lower back issues and probably would prefer a bit firmer mattress, but really, that's quibbling. The owner, Dominique, is thoughtful and charming. Helpful travel/local interest books are in the bookshelf and Dominique provided useful tips regarding restaurants and shopping. While some may be interested in the touristy rue Montorgueil which is just 2 streets over, foodies should explore several emerging, interesting restaurants, coffee shops, and cafes located in the nearby Sentier, particularly the nearby rue du Nil. Fantastic Claudio Corallo chocolate and coffee are available at L'Arbre - probably the best coffee I had in Paris, after a week of wandering many espresso/coffee bars that are undergoing a renaissance in Paris. And Frenchie To Go (casual wine bar version of the tough to get into Frenchie Restaurant) and Terroirs d'Avenir (charcuterie and frommage) are also on the tiny rue du Nil.
“Lives up to expectations”
Perfect spot to unwind in the center of the city. Great location and the hosts are very helpful. The apartment is stocked and although it is small, it's very efficient with space. The bed was our biggest concern before arriving, but after the first night, we didn't even think twice about it. It's a new mattress and certainly doesn't feel like futon. Price is very reasonable for the area and amenities and I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.
“Stylish and cozy apartment in the heart of the action packed 2nd”
This apartment was in the perfect location in the 2nd arrondissement. Off of three main streets, but down a quiet alley so it was never noisy. The furnishings were much higher quality than I was expecting, and all of the books and CDs for the stereo were expertly chosen. Dom and Serge were exceptional hosts, who know the neighborhood and local events inside out. Be sure to use their guide which gives fantastic recommendations. This is 2nd floor (3rd floor for americans) apartment with no elevator, so may not be appropriate for disabled or senior citizen travelers.
“Amazing every visit”
The quality of the accomodation is faultless. Everything you could possibly need is supplied, including your own Tourist Infomation shelves. The owners are delightful and helpful at all times. We have stayed four times in these apartments for lenghthy stays and look forward to our next return.
I recommend to stay in the red studio! It is quite nice, with great location and excellent service. My husband and I loved it!
