Availability Note: Please understand that we block out dates that are more than 51 weeks into the future. We do this to be loyal to our repeat guests and give them the first chance to book their same week again next year. If a guest chooses not to re-book we then re-open those dates to anyone about 51 weeks in advance. So if you see a time more than a year from now that is currently shown as not available, please check back and that week may open up.

The cottage, built in 1991, has all that you will need for a great vacation getaway. You'll love the open floor plan of the living/dining area with the pass-through window to the kitchen. We strive to provide a cottage that is comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. However, another goal is to provide an exceptionally well-maintained home and since this is our home for five months every year we are able to do this. Many other vacation homes are never really lived in by their owners, as ours is, and we think that makes a real difference. Because we actually live at the cottage for an extended period of time, we are able to offer a rental cottage that it is much more likely to provide you with that perfect stay.

The master bedroom has its own bathroom, but if you check out the floor plan (last item in the group of photos) you can see that the second bedroom can be considered to have its own private bathroom as well. That bathroom, just off the dining area, is within the alcove entrance to the second bedroom. The outer door of the alcove can be closed off at night creating another private bedroom/bathroom master suite. This makes the home ideal for one or two couples or for families with children. We also have a highchair and a fold-away portable crib available. There is a dining area that seats four plus, another dining area in the screened porch, and a patio dining set for four on the back deck. The living room has two comfortable couches, a flat screen TV, games, and books. There is also free WiFi and AT&T U-verse U300 with 360 channels including STARZ, ENCORE, SHOWTIME, the Movie Channel, and FLIX. The bedrooms also have flat screen TVs with access to U-verse.The outdoor areas (including screened porch, open deck, and front porch) are wonderful for relaxing around the house. However, the front porch is truly our favorite spot with comfortable cushioned chairs, rocking chairs, a porch swing and a great porch railing at the perfect height for putting your feet up while having your morning coffee or sipping a glass of wine.

Pets are welcome. The backyard is enclosed. There is even a washable dog bed and feeding dishes available for our 4-legged friends. However, we are sorry to note that due to insurance restrictions there are certain breeds we cannot allow such as Pit Bulls, Dobermans, Rottweilers, Chows, German Shepherds, or Presa Canarios.

Since 2013, we have spent every winter at the cottage and each time we have made improvements that we hope you enjoy as much as we do. Over the years we have replaced carpeting with wood flooring, built a large backyard deck with an amazing outdoor hot water shower, landscaped with many tropical plants and fruit trees (which we hope will actually have fruit one day), added fencing to fully enclose the backyard, purchased comfortable deck furniture and living room furniture, in addition to replacing the roof and the heat/air conditioning system.

If you choose to vacation at our cottage, it will feel like your home too. Who knows what changes we will make next year, but we hope you come back often to find out!

The kitchen is fully stocked with quality appliances, dishes, pots and pans, spices, and many other items you would need for those who enjoy eating in. In addition to providing the basic essentials such as typical items like toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, and tissues, we also provide plastic wrap and bags, laundry supplies, hand soap, dishwasher soap, coffee filters, spices, and beach towels and cart. There is even a small cooler with those blue ice things in the freezer ready for you first day on the beach. We really have everything you need!

We have had the best guests and are excited about continuing to share our home as a vacation rental that is both warm and inviting. Our overall philosophy is to have you arrive at a home that has what you need without having to immediately run out to Winn-Dixie. Yes, you will need to get food, but at least that can wait until you have had a good night's sleep and your morning coffee. You will even find a packet of coffee for your first morning in the cottage. We truly make every effort to provide you with a comfortable home away from home, great service when needed, and an overall ideal vacation experience. Enjoy!

Our cottage is within walking distance to the beach, the Pier Village, and Neptune Park. There is free parking anywhere you go on the island. Taxi service and Uber is available. You can also rent bicycles or a golf cart from local vendors.

Interaction with guest

When you arrived at the cottage you will be able to let yourselves in at the front door with your unique lock code that will be valid for the duration of your visit. Art and Linda are always easily available by email, phone, or text if you need anything.
