“Beautiful Victorian home in the heart of Cape May”

Reviewed 14 Sep 2014

The pictures don't do this property justice! The location could not be better (steps to town, one block to Congress Hall, one block to the beach, short walk to the market). We didn't get in our car the entire time we were there. The front porch is huge and the home is lovely. The kitchen is nicely updated and contains everything you need to cook all meals. The bathrooms are all modern as well. The house is clean and inviting and large enough for two families to share and not feel crowded. The property owner is responsive and professional. This is a gem in the heart of Cape May.

“Superb!”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2014

We rented this beautiful late nineteenth century property early in August and were very pleased with its central location and proximity to the beach. It has private, fenced up parking for two cars and a very nice large front porch for breakfast or late afternoon cocktail (although be forewarned: the streets are very clean for a reason! The cleaning equipment runs every morning at seven sharp. Not a big inconvenience but present.). The house is spacious, sleeps 13 easily and sits 10 very comfortably at the large dining table. 12 adults could fit but would bump elbows a little bit. Here again, not a big inconvenience. We had two extension boards and if there is a third one, then 12 adults could dine at ease. We advised the owner and may be he will supply one. The kitchen is very modern with all the latest amenities, a huge marble counter top and (I think) nine stools so that breakfast or lunch is easily taken there. There is a nice wine fridge/cellar. We were literally five minutes (add 30 seconds if the pedestrian sign is red...) walking distance from the beach (front door to beach chair) and that section of the beach seemed to be less crowded than either sides of where we were. The property has many beach chairs available to the tenants and a very much appreciated outdoors shower with hot and cold water and nicely enclosed for a private shower, not just rinsing sand off. We would certainly come back to this property.

“Best house in Cape May”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2014

We have been vacationing to Cape May for 11 years. Each year we rent a different house based on our needs. We typically vacation with a few families and each year tend to add a kid! This house has been our absolute favorite. It is the perfect location from the beach and the mall especially if you have young children. You do not need a stroller if your kid can walk. A great front porch to relax, people watch, or for the kids to play. The house was spacious and CLEAN!! The kitchen was newer and we cook every single night breakfast and dinner b/c the size of our crew and never had a problem. We liked the fact that there were two living rooms b/c we could split it up for the adults and kids. The bedrooms were good with a window air conditioner which is great for our needs b/c you can control the room temp to suit the individual needs. The people we rented from were great too. Easy to get a hold of if we needed anything or had a question. We would definitely rent this house again!

“Perfect Family Vacation Spot!!”

Reviewed 22 May 2013

My family and I stayed in this fabulous home last summer and we are booked to return again this year. It was our first time to Cape May and we surely lucked out when we found this gem. You can't get a better location than this. We did not need to get in the car once the entire week because everything was walkable. The house is in great condition and very clean. The front porch is one of the best features for people watching and just hanging out. This house is great for extended families and children. The owner was easy to get a hold of a pleasure to deal with. We are counting the days until we return!

“Best Location in town!”

Reviewed 28 Feb 2013

We spent an amazing week in this wonderful home. You are a block off the beach and in the heart of town. You can walk everywhere, including the grocery store. The house is very comfortable and you will surely feel very at home as everything you need is there. Kitchen is fabulous and great for big families with the two family rooms. Beds are comfortable and home is well kept. You will be amazed at how many people stop to photograph this unique home. So much fun to sit on the porch in the evenings. We have stayed in Cape May before but never in such a perfect location. You won't need to move your car once you get there. There are restaurants from casual to fancy right in the square which is right outside your door. And not to worry, the street is quiet at night, despite its prime location. Truly a great rental- and you won't rent from nicer people!
