“Comfortable B&B; perched in beautiful surroundings”
Many people don't realize just how beautiful the southern arizona wine country really is - it's not yet a common tourist destination, but it should be, and Rancho Milagro is a fine choice for a place to stay when visiting. It's ranch house perched in beautiful surroundings, with wonderful views of the hills & mountains all around, cattle wandering outside the fences, and sitting porches and a patio from which to watch it all. The rooms are simple but very comfortable; owners Renate and Rainer made us feel at home. They provide a simple continental breakfast, and went out of their way to accommodate my wife who follows a vegan diet. The Sonoita/Elgin wineries are all within a short, scenic driving distance. The ranch is not "in town," so you will probably drive 15 minutes or so into Sonoita for dinner, but that's a small price for the charm and beauty of the location.
Response from the owner Dear Mark, We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay at Rancho Milagro. Thanks for the great review. We are looking forward to seeing you again in the future.
“Freedom and relaxation under big skies in soft air”
we had a wonderful time here . the spacious rooms are decorated with a Southwestern flavor. Beautiful sunsets could be seen from the veranda as well as views of the mountains. One could eat breakfast on the enclosed patio where hummingbirds abounded. Rancho Milagro is in the heart of arizona wine country so we enjoyed wine tasting as well as exploring artsy Tubac and Sonoita and the charming old mining town of Bisbee
“A wonderful retreat!”
Our hosts were wonderful. They had great ideas on what to do in the area. The room was very comfortable and had everything that most motels offer: fridge, microwave, hair dryer, coffee maker, etc. At this elevation the day and night temps are so more enjoyable than other areas in aZ. Breakfast on the patio was delightful and the stars were never ending! We saw antelope prancing in the fields in the mornings. If you like hiking, the Chiricahua National Monument is about an hour and a half away. It is a most fantastic place for wonderful scenery. We took the Echo Canyon hike (3.6 miles). The little town of Patagonia has some interesting shops and is worth a visit. We highly recommend Rancho Milagro!
As soon as we pulled up to the property, my husband and I were greeted by the property owners, a very lovely couple and eager to ensure that our stay was comfortable. The B&B; was charming from first sight. The property owners opened up our room, which included a king size bed, full bathroom and breakfast nook and was tastefully decorated. The second door opened up to the patio, which had incredible views. We enjoyed ourselves in the Sonoita wine country. We will definitely come back.
Rancho Milago is a most wonderful place, located in rolling grass land with mountains surounding the view. the stay is most comfortable, great rooms with a court yard and plenty of space. the owners are knowledgable about the surroundings and have good advise for places to visit.
“Oh beautiful - the spacious skies - and amber waves of high des”
Who said the "Big Sky Country" is in Montana! The full moon, the sky crammed with stars. ... it was magnificent! What a panorama ... from every window ... with mountains in the distance! Lovely spot to relax, enjoy nature, soak in an expansive view and to delight in the charm and hospitality of the innkeepers! They are world travelers and have unstoppable stories to tell! The room we stayed in was right on the courtyard with a porch out the other window ... lovely for rocking and watching the sun make it's glorious descent. The room was cozy, clean, nicely decorated, and very representative of the Southwest. Sure, we'd stay there again and hope to in the future...oh, yes, we'll be back! Kathy and Dan Sprau
