“This is a cozy, charming home away from home.”

Reviewed 10 Nov 2013

My husband and I stayed at River Haven before the floods. It was exactly what we had been looking for. It is furnished very nicely with everything you could possibly need. Although there is no cell service in the area, the cabin did have a land line and Wifi. There was a television and stereo system, however, we never used them. When we were at the cabin, we were outside or on the screened in porch, listening to the sound of the river. I can't say enough nice things about this cabin. We had a wonderful time there.

“Better than expected!”

River Haven cabin in allenspark Co was just what we were looking for in a vacation retreat. (ok, there was one neighbor's house in site but we still felt secluded) After visiting Estes Park, and feeling like we were in Disneyland on a popular day, we knew we had made the right decision to stay in allenspark. Flying in does not allow one to bring much so we were very pleased that they had washer and dryer. Kitchen was well stocked and easy to keep clean. No cell phone calls could get through!! Yipee!! But, had email if we felt we had to keep in touch with work. The river, right in front of the house was spectacular. We lived on the porch when we were not hiking the area, and riding horses in allenspark. The living room is better than the pictures showed. We had a blast, the time went by too fast though. Sandy from PineBrook was very helpful. We ate at the 5 star, Fawn Inn, in allenspark on the last night. A great place to end a great vacation. Highly recommend this cabin for two. bj & don

“Peaceful with hummingbirds of happiness”

Cabin was clean and very well appointed. Queen bed and sofa bed were both quite comfortable. All electronics worked as described (though we didn't use them much) and the steady, comforting rush of the South St. Vrain Creek was a constant welcome. My own favorite room was the screened-in porch, perfect for breakfast and late night reading. Plenty of dishware and kitchen equipment. Would just like to have had a knife sharpener and a barbeque brush. Location is central to Rocky Mountain National Park and many of the front range communities in the central Front Range.

“Perfect honeymoon getaway”

Reviewed 19 Jul 2013

The area is gorgeous and the cabin has a cute cottage-feel but still spacious for two with everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy ourselves. The kitchen was fully stocked and we enjoyed making our own meals most of the time getting groceries in Estes Park. On quieter evenings we enjoyed watching a movie at the cabin. The washer and dryer came in very handy as well. We loved the sound of the rushing water just outside and enjoyed eating breakfast on the screened-in patio overlooking the river. There are other properties nearby, but the lush surroundings give you a real sense of privacy and we hardly ever saw anyone else. We were able to receive much needed rest at the cabin, and then most days we took the short drive to Estes Park to enjoy all there is there. We hiked up the little mountain towards the back of the cabin one day for a picnic. The cabin being secluded but also near Estes Park offered the perfect combination of relaxation and fun.

“Beautiful cabin on rushing creek - absolutely sublime”

Reviewed 21 Jun 2013

This cabin was perfect for our honeymoon getaway. Secluded on the Middle St Vrain Creek, yet close enough to take day trips around the area. The cabin has a fully stocked kitchen for any type of cooking, and the comforts of home. Very convenient to have a washer and dryer in the cabin. The wi-fi was great to have too! The dining table looking out on the bird feeders brought lots of joy as we ate our meals and played cards in the evening. The front screened in porch looking out on the creek was peaceful and cool. Very comfortable cabin and wonderful location!
