“Enjoyed Ocean Lookout!”

Reviewed 5 Sep 2013

Pros- close to the beach, great patios, view was nice, great kitchen space, everything worked, spacious, functional, clean areas. Cons- kitchen on 3rd floor tough for carrying up groceries and food from grill. Grill was not great- it took a long time to cook because it did not get hot enough. Bottom room is more like a living area and has no privacy (when you enter the home you are in the bottom room). Overall this house was great for us (5 families; 3 with children). We ate out 1 lunch and cooked all other meals. We spent a lot of time at the beach and in the pool and at the house!!!

It was great. Only downside was the only first floor access to the house went through the bunk room so it would wake up the kids.

“August stay”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2013

The house is nice. There are a couple of things that management could improve to get a 5 star from me. The house didn't have enough large pots and pans for a large group of people. We didn't have enough towels or toilet paper for a group of 16. The grill is again too small for a large group of people. Since the house is for 16, it should be furnished to make 16 people comfortable.

loved location and home was great! Couldn't find a mixer?

“Wonderful Vacation”

Reviewed 31 Jul 2013

The house was perfect for our extended family - four sibling couples and nine kids. The layout was a bit odd with the kitchen, dining and main living area on the top floor, but we suspect it was designed to get the best view of the beach. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were not as comfortable as some would have liked, but others did not seem to mind. Overall, great accommodations for our group.

“"Home away from Home"”

Reviewed 15 Jul 2013

Let me just say, staying at rental property has never been ideal, but this time....well I have a brand new outlook. This property was night and day from my last experience; it is a new Beach Home (2013) clean, bright and airy and many comforts and amenities of home. 3 floors of bed, bath, and living and with 2 small children ideal for many levels of entertainment and relaxation. The walk to the Beach via personal boardwalk is minutes away. The feel and view of the ocean from the windows and porch balcony's....well it is splendid. You are just a few city blocks from the local grocery store to stock up on all your favorites, and the golf cart rental is a must. It is the fun way to get up and down the beach and all the local restaurants in town if you wish. I would highly recommend this property and the property management staff; they were very accommodating and resourceful for our vacation stay. We will be back for another adventure!

“Port Aransas Family Vacation 2013”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2013

We did have a wonderful vacation but I do have some feedback on our stay. The house was very nice but the kitchen on the 3rd floor was quite inconvenient. It was very hard on everyone's legs going up and down, especially my elderly parents. Also the refrigerator was not cool at all upon arrival apparently it may have been completely unplugged before we got there and took almost a day to start keeping our food cool. The air conditioning was programmed to automatically turn up to 80 degrees and everytime we left and came back the house was very hot and took forever to cool down. Very unpleased with that. One more negative the owner of the house behind us complained and was rather rude that when we backed out boat in one tire was on her part of the rocks and had us move. My nephew said his sheets were not clean on his bed said hair in it, he washed them before sleeping on them. The trash had not been carried out in the dumpster and was full and we had no where to put "our" trash until it was picked up.

“A week on the beach”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2013

Overall we had a great time on our vacation because the rental accommodated our whole family and friends, 10 of us. The problems were related to how the house was equipped. Not enough toilet paper, no coffee filters, paper towels, dish soap, no cleaners. No directions to the property when the address could not be located on GPS. There were no phone books or restaraunt guides. There was no large outdoor trash bin when all of the other rentals had them. The WiFi did not work. No TV guides. The checkout requirements were completely unreasonable and written poorly with a bad tone. Only four parking spots with no parking on the streets. All of these problems resulted in no Internet. Multiple trips to the store. I don't think this house sleeps 16 as stated. Where would sixteen sleep or park? Shelby M.

“Pleasantly Surprised”

Reviewed 23 May 2013

We were upgraded to this property because of some troubles with the house we rented. I looked at the cost of it and don't really think it's worth the extra cost, but that's just my opinion. This place is real close to the beach, very easy to walk to with a cooler and chairs. The house is nice, but they didn't put much thought into the boring beach theme decorations and alot of the furniture including the bunk beds and dining table are home made, but made well.

“Great location on Port Aransas”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2013

The home is beautiful and was the perfect location and size for our son and his 12 friends from college. Great living area with beautiful views of the gulf. Easy walk to the beach. Could use more large serving trays and bowls. The dining area has seating for 12, which you would think would lend it self to lots of cooking (which we did). The owner neds to add more large pots and pans, serving trays and large bowls. Otherwise, our stay was wonderful!
