“Perfect Spot! Clean, Bright and Easy access to Manhattan”
We are 2 couples and the 4 of us stayed here for a friends wedding at the Brookln Botanic Gardens. We were surprised to find a gorgeous backyard where we could sit and have lunch. The apartment was a very comfortable place to stay. It was nicely furnished, very bright and the beds were comfortable with good quality bedding. The subway is about a minutes walk from the apartment and Prospect Park is just a couple of blocks away. The area around the apartment is well served with a supermarket, pharmacy, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants.
Response from the owner Thank you - we are pleased to hear how much you enjoyed the apartment!
We were 5 people staying 5 days in NY during October 2013. We really apprciated the flat, which was clean, safe, big and which corresponds exactly to the photos. it is very well equipped and new.Bedrooms are huge, and the bathroom is amazing. We enjoyed our stay there, even more because the owner Natasha has been very nice and caring with us. The flat is 2 minutes walk from the first metro station, and you reach Manhattan (Times Square) in 30-35 minutes. We took a cab from JFK to the flat, and it costed us 40 dollars. Near from everything, this flat is excellent.
Response from the owner Dear Margaux, It was wonderful to host you too! Truly a pleasure! Do consider us again on your next trip to NYC - you are welcome back! Regards, Natasha
“All in all, an excellent stay. And way too short...”
I stayed at Natasha's flat for three nights with two friends. We arrived early afternoon and Natasha was there to greet us and made us feel very welcome. We all loved the flat. It was very clean and well kept and exactly as in the pics. Shops within walking distance (nice restaurants on Flatbush avenue) and a very well-stocked supermarket 5mins walk from Natasha's flat. The trains were really quick to Manhattan. The location was really perfect for the subways. We rented bikes using the NYC bikeshare and crossed the Brooklyn Bridge. Good fun. Natasha was also an absolutely wonderful host - offering us a bird's eye introduction to the city and helping us create a two day itinerary over a beer in the backyard after allowing us to get settled. All of us would highly recommend this place. We only wish we could have stayed longer!
Response from the owner It was certainly a pleasure to host you. Thank you for referring Mike and Nikki to our vactation rentals. Do consider us again for your next trip to NYC!
We loved this apartment - it was an excellent base for exploring New York and really quick to Manhattan from Prospect Park station on the Q train. The 2 bedrooms were spacious and my king bed very comfortable. The location of this flat is wonderful with quick access to the shops, laundry and the supermarket. The area was very safe and friendly. We enjoyed our stay! The apartment led out to a cute garden which was a nice retreat after hours exploring Manhattan's concrete jungle. We ate outside under the gazebo and enjoyed the pretty flowers, trees and herbs. We made light breakfast in the apartment as there was a toaster, microwave, a sink to wash our plates, kettle and a fridge for our milk and groceries. The wifi worked very well in the backyard too and was strong enough to Skype my family back home for video chat. Most importantly, the apartment was very clean - there wasn't a speck of dust anywhere! The apartment was also very bright for a lower level apartment. We could see outside from the windows, from walking around the neighbourhood we could see that garden apartments are popular in this area, they are very charming! The air conditioner worked fine but we preferred to open up the windows for fresh air. We left the dehumidifyer on during the days and it was always comfortable when we returned. Natasha was a wonderful hostess and got us free tickets to different events. Our stay was great and we'll come back again!!
Response from the owner Pleased you had a great time. We look forward to hosting you again for your next visit!
“Great apartment, even better host”
Really spacious, clean and quiet apartment. The subway is close by and the journey to Manhattan was fine. I enjoyed seeing some of Brooklyn too, especially Park Slope and Prospect Park. Natasha is a great host too and provided snacks on arrival, plenty of advice about the area and even free tickets for some attractions. Checking in and out was smooth too. Will definitely book again if I get the chance!
“My best stay in New York so far was here!!”
Could not say enough wonderful things about the apartment or our host Natasha! I've been to New York at least 6 times and this was by far my best visit and beats the small hotel rooms in Manhattan that I used to book before. 5 of us stayed in the garden apartment and we loved it. Parking was free, and there were lots of parking spaces on the block making it very convenient. We just had to make sure we were parked on the correct side for street cleaning. The bedrooms are huge, the pillowtop mattress I slept on was amazing. I'm a clean freak and checked everything - the whole apartment was super clean and fresh. The apartment has great temperature control and was nice and cool during the unusually sweltering days of our trip. We enjoyed being able to go out into the garden and chill out under the gazebo which had WiFi - it was a little oasis with nice flowers and plants. Natasha left us nice treats in the kitchenette and it was great to have a fridge and microwave although we ate out almost every night. There were so many good eats on Flatbush and 5th avenue - I wish I had more time to see more. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to New York. Perfect location - it took 20 minutes to get to midtown Manhattan from the apartment. Nice and quiet apartment, but so close to anything you might want to do. Natasha was very personable and accommodating - fantastic host who loves to share her insights and knowledge of New York with guests. Natasha always available for any questions, she's very pleasant and always had a great suggestion for something to do, or where something might be. The few questions I had were answered promptly, and I never had any problems in the apartment. I felt very secure in the area and had peace of mind knowing the entry system was unique to each traveler so only booked guests could gain entry into the apartment. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful vacation rental to discover Brooklyn!
My stay was great. Natasha was very nice and accommodating.
