“spacious and private”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2016

Hi Jackie, Shared Serenity is a beautiful home in a relaxing private area. The home is laid out very well with spacious and private areas. We rented the additional room 4th room and had beds for 6 and more than enough space for 6. We had a wonderful time in Door County and enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit at night to recall the day's events. We went Salmon fishing from Baileys Harbor, visited Maritime & History Museum in Sturgeon Bay and stopped by Cave Point Park on our return, golfed the Peninsula State Park Course, took trip out to Washington Island on the Ferry, shopped the cute shops of Egg Harbor, Fish Creek and Sister Bay and played a round of mini golf at Pirates Cove. I recommend all of the above!

Response from the owner We are delighted to read you enjoyed our home and had a great time in the peninsula. We look forward to your return!

“Loved it!”

Reviewed 29 Jun 2015

This was a great trip! It was perfect for my 3 young children and we took full advantage of the covered front porch and fire pit. My boys loved the "man cave" above the garage. It was nice to be close to all the action but still have a quiet place to retreat where my active children could get some time outdoors without bothering anyone. The house is immaculately kept and had everything we needed. We will definitely return!

Response from the owner We are delighted to read you loved our home and plan to return. It was a treat to meet you and your family and see how the kids were enjoying our yards. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to comment on our home. We look forward to your return!

“Wonderful location”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2014

This is a beautiful home and the location is perfect. You are minutes from everything at this location. We went in early September and found the weather to be exceptional. A day trip to Washington Island, another to the Lake side and then one on the Bay side....truly perfect! We mixed eating one meal at home with another at local stops - the tapas, pizza and of course Al Johnsons.....wonderful breakfast! The late night fire pit moments are priceless - and very romantic :) . If you can, catch a play too - worth the stop. We can not wait to return! (only recommendation - bring your own pillows - otherwise this exceptional house has it ALL!) Enjoy your stay...we did.

Response from the owner I'm delighted to read that you enjoyed your first visit to the peninsula and plan on returning. You and your family are always welcome at our home and we look forward to your return.

“A superb Fall weekend”

Reviewed 29 Oct 2013

We are veterans of Door County Octobers and this may be the best stay we've had in 30+ years. Denice & Ken have a wonderful place in Shared Serenity. They bend over backwards to make sure that their guests are happy. What a terrific, peaceful setting! A perfect location with short drives to both Fish Creek & Egg Harbor. A well maintained, spacious house that's more than fully outfitted for a relaxing stay with friends. A totally equipped kitchen with great appliances & all of the right utensils, flatware and dishes. There are even pie irons for using in the natural fireplace or the outdoor fire pit. And a wine fridge for Pete's sake! All in all a really great place to stay.

Response from the owner It was a pleasure having you and your friends at our home in Fish Creek. Best of all, we enjoyed meeting you all and talking about our love of the peninsula. Thanks so much for all the kind words and we are so glad to read this may be the best stay you've had in years! Wow!!! We look forward to your return and you are always welcome in our beloved home!

“Convenient, comfortable and private.”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2013

Our stay was great! Home was very nice and clean with a full kitchen for cooking which is a definite plus! The location is very convenient to many nice areas in Door County. Our rental agent was very accommodating about questions and provided some nice suggestions on activities/places to see. The only problems we had with the home were minor and were fixed right away.

Response from the owner I'm glad to read you had a great visit and that our home met your needs. I always enjoy providing ideas on things to do for my guests and am happy you were able to explore the door and enjoy the activities the peninsula has to offer.

“Terrific weekend getaway!”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2013

This property felt like a home away from home! It is conveniently located to fun shopping and great restaurants. Nearby hiking/snowshoeing trails accommodate all levels of expertise. The fully equipped kitchen was a bonus. We didn't feel we had to eat out all the time, but could stay in and enjoy the ambiance Shared Serenity has to offer.

Response from the owner I'm happy to read you enjoyed your visit to the peninsula and enjoyed cooking in our kitchen!

“Everything I Wanted and More.”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2013

I have been born and raised on vacations up to Wisconsin so finding such a great place like Shared Serenity was nothing but perfect. I shared my stay here with my girlfriend and two other couples. We had such a great time enjoying grilling out in the beautiful backyard surrounded with forest to having camp fires at night in the large spacious fire pit. The house was perfect size for the amount of people we were with, where it felt like a great party house but at the same time there was enough space to feel as if you had your privacy when need be. The home was very clean and comfortable and everything you can imagine was provided for you for your stay. The home is in a perfect location from just about anything, you are a short drive to any of the door county towns. Denice, the owner of the home, made sure we felt comfortable and even called us during our stay to check in to see if we had everything we needed!!! It was nice knowing Denice cared about our vacation as much as we did. All in all this was a great home to share some great memories with my girlfriend and my closest friends. The only down fall I can think of to say is that it is not on the water, however you are very close to many public beaches if that becomes a problem. We all had such a great time staying at Shared Serenity we will definitely be back.

Response from the owner I'm happy to read you enjoyed the location and my home. I look forward to your return in the future if you head back up to the peninsula!

“Spacious and clean rental to stay”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2013

We went for a 2 night stay over the long weekend with couple of families. The house was clean and spacious for a 8 people stay. Since we were only 2 families, the 2 bath room were adequate. The kitchen was well equipped. We felt our stay could have been an extended one to enjoy the stay much more. Overall it was a good experience both with the management and facility. The minus are: 1. Even though there is garage, we cannot use it 2. Septic Tank fills up very quickly, making us to use very little water until next clean up.

Response from the owner We are happy to read that you enjoyed our home and your visit to the peninsula. We were disappointed to read however, that you felt the need to conserve water when the septic light went on. Had you called us when you noticed the light for the Septic Tank went on, we would have called our septic hauler immediately. They respond within 24 hours and the light is timed so that our guests always have 500 gallons of room left to fill before the tank is emptied. We apologize for the inconvenience and next time, just give us a call when the light appears, and the tank will be emptied immediately. We look forward to your return!
