“Not up too standard for a B & B”

Response from the owner This person never stayed at my Vacation Rental. He booked 1 room for 1 night at my B&B He checked in to his room, took a shower and then came downstairs and tried to stroke me on the price of his room. telling me it was only worth 80.00 The median rate for comparable rooms in Souris on that date was 245.00 and he paid 135.00 for his room including breakfast. As I have a 7 day cancellation policy for any B& B rental ,and he came there obviously trying to get out of his obligation to stay, his "complaints" started. He said the smoke detector was not working and he was having trouble operating the smart tv, he didnt like the decor , the outdoor furniture was not up to his lofty standards etc.etc. I tried to make him happy, and I replaced the battery in the smoke detector for him and reconnected the TV since he chose an input source which had nothing connected to it ,knocking himself off of the network,. There are hundreds of channels including Amazon Prime (A PAY Channel BTW) available on all the tvs in the property. Five minutes later his wife calls me asking me for my Netflix password! On informing her I don't even subscribe to Netflix and the channel was only on the tv in case she wanted to log into her account , she threw a fit. They acted like ALL other places they have ever stayed offered paid movies at no charge! This guy arrived looking for a reason to get out of his booking and when he was not allowed he became completely unreasonable. That TripAdvisor allows a Bed and Breakfast booking to write a review on a Vacation Rental is ludicrous, when my subscription is up with them i will not continue to do business with them. As far as cleanliness goes , I was inspected two days ago by Tourism for my license. They are noted as being thorough about cleanliness in their inspections. They not only pass me ,for licensing, they recommend me as place to stay.

Response from the owner This is a review left from an overnight B and B guest and NOT a Vacation rental guest. She was not qualified to leave a review on the site which it was rented as she did not pay for the room. I have no idea WHY Trip advisor allows B&B guests to leave reviews on this site. My rating for B and B guests is best reflected on my Booking.com guest ratings which is currently 8.6 out of 78 reviews.

“Historic charm in Souris”

Historic old Victorian was perfect for my large family. Big, comfortable rooms and the kids especially loved the pool table room! Walking distance to downtown Souris and beautiful Souris beach.
