“Home away from Home”
From the moment you arrive at Umah Di Desa you will not want to leave. Lorraine & Paul have though of every detail to make their villas stylish & comfortable. The villas are very spacious & clean with a very generous pool compared to other villas in the area. The beach is a 6 minute walk and this end of batubelig has some great cafes & restaurants. The location is quiet enough for you to feel relaxed & central enough to have the best of the area at your fingertips.
“A Hidden Gem”
Stayed in this villa recently with a group of friends. Love, love, love this place and every little thing in it. The décor is gorgeous, stood out from typical Bali villas. Definitely looks as good as the pictures. Bedrooms, living & dining room are clean, comfortable and spacious. Pool is perfect for a cool dip in the hot afternoons. The location is also great, down a quiet private road, but within easy walking distance to some great restaurants in Jl Batu Belig. A mini mart is about 5 minutes walk away. The staffs are very helpful and friendly, they did a great job from bookings to housekeeping. Good wi-fi connection as well, we couldn't ask for more! All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa to anyone. Thanks for the wonderful time, Lorraine! You made our stay everything we had hoped for.
“An escape in busy Bali”
We loved Umah Di Desa III from the moment we stepped in the villa. It's beautifully decorated and manages to feel modern and traditional at the same time. The pool is lovely and it's so nice having a private oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the Balinese west coast. The staff were lovely and Lorraine, the villa manager/owner, was incredibly helpful organising massages, restaurant bookings and even a birthday cake. Any minor issues were dealt with promptly by Lorraine and the staff, who are all friendly. The area is great with some nice restaurants and cafes nearby. The shopping strips are a cab ride away but with Bali's heat, and the cheap cab rates if you go for metered, this is no problem and in fact we liked being somewhat removed from those areas. If you haven't been to Bali before, you should know that the west coast beaches aren't 'pristine white sand' like you see in Thailand or other asian coastal destinations, but this area is the place to be for good food, shopping, relaxation, pampering and nightlife. Having a private pool is key. You can also take great day trips from Umah Di Desa's location and we went to Ubud, Uluwatu and Jimbaran. Enjoy your stay here! We sure did :)
“Beautiful, stylish villa in a fantastic location!”
With so much choice in Bali, it's hard to know which way to turn when choosing a villa. Umah Di Desa ticks all the boxes in our opinion - beautiful, well designed spaces adorned with lovely artwork, a great location close to the bars if Seminyak and not too far from to the cultural heart of Ubud. Loz couldn't have been more helpful and the staff were always on hand to ensure we had all we needed. Certainly a great base for a dream Bali trip.
“Beautiful Holiday Villa”
A little gem - down a narrow laneway off Jl Batubelig. Small but well laid out, homely and extremely comfortable in a lovely shabby chic way. Was fantastic as mum got to sleep in the stand alone villa across other side of pool so could get away from the 4 of us for a little bit of quiet when she wanted. Loved the décor and esp the floor tiles, cushions, bedlinen and artwork. Close to Naughty Nuri's -fabulous martinis & ribs; 10 min walk to beach - sunset drinks at Mozaic Beach Club, across the road to Watercress for breakfast often taking croissants or salads as takeaway to have for a late lunch back at our pool. Great shops popping up and fab restaurants and dayspas nearby. Would like to see a DVD player/tv in the designated twin 'kids' bedroom as my kids at night often took over our bedroom to watch same! Ketut on our first day drove us over to Canggu Deli where we stocked up our fridge with snacks, fruit, beer. Some people may not like the fact it is a little outside of Seminyak but for me that was part of its charm and you can see that within a year Batubelig will be buzzing anyway! This isn't a fully serviced villa but in a good way - I liked having the place more to ourselves - the villa is cleaned daily and beds made etc and fresh towels put in and the garden & pool tended to daily...perfect. Thanks Loz for creating a great place and to your lovely staff for looking after us so well.
“Wonderful break in a beautiful stylish villa.”
We recently stayed at Umah De Desa III, a gorgeous villa in Batu Belig. The villa is beautifully designed and a perfect place to unwind and recharge. The rooms are private and would suit a family of 4 or two-three couples really well. The owners Lorraine and Pun are wonderful and extremely helpful hosts. In fact Pun's fabulous artworks adorn the walls and we liked them so much that I plan to stock them at my store in Singapore! The staff at the villa were discreet and efficient as well. The interiors are rustic and stylish at the same time. We cannot recommend it enough and look forward to going back there soon. Rima & Rahul.
“A little oasis”
We have just spent a week at Umah di Desa and it is truly gorgeous. The villa is beautifully designed and appointed, with all the luxuries of home. Beautiful fragrant scents, fine linen and comfy beds. Tv's, Dvd's and wi-fi that works. The gardens are impressive and cared for lovingly by the in house gardener. The staff are smiling and helpful and the manager, Lorraine, is also fabulous. The location off Batubelig is an easy walk to shops and restaurants and yet a little away from Seminyak bustle. Perfect for us, a family of four. We enjoyed dining in many of the local restaurants and the local cafe Watercress is a must! I would recommend this villa as an oasis of tranquility and calm and far better value than staying in a hotel of comparable standard. We would love to stay again and would highly recommend it to you!
“A Trully Special Villa”
The Villa is super gorgeous and the interiors make it very homely. It caters for familes really well as you have a fully functioning kitchen. We had a chef for part of the time which was really nice. The owners of the villa were very helpfull and always happy to help out. The location is great and only a 5 minute walk to the beach and some great restaurants on the main road. Watercress and Naughty Nuris being our top tips!
“Great location, lovely stay”
We spent 4 nights at Umah Di Desa III in March and had a fabulous time. The villa is very beautiful with all the comforts that make a holiday memorable. Lorraine was very helpful and the staff were willing to assist in anyway they could. We would love a return visit!
“Beautiful little hideaway!”
We absolutely loved our stay in this wonderful villa...a real mini paradise! The Villa was beautifully designed and immaculate, but still had a real 'homely' feel. The private pool and garden gets sun all day which is perfect for spending time in your own villa world! The owners, Pun and Lorraine, and their staff were so welcoming and were always happy to help in any way they could. The location is great, between Seminyak and Canggu, as it is very close to the beach, and some good restaurants and bars, but it is set back from the main road so it's very quiet. Everything you want is within an easy bike ride (which can be borrowed from the Villa), or an even shorter scooter ride, if you're brave enough! I would definitely recommend Umah Di Desa; we had a brilliant time and I would love to stay there again the next time that I am in Bali.
