Nice cosy house, good surrounding. Nice owners, well furnished. A bit noisy with traffic below the hill. Complete private.
“All round a great villa and fantastic holiday”
Review: The villa came with all the home comforts we needed and the owners extremely quick to help with anything we needed. Easy walking into Competa with its nice restuarants, shops and supermarket. Quiet location with easy access to the high hills if you want to get away from it all. We had some fantastic walks through the National Park. The kids loved the pool and barbeque. All round a great holiday.
“Once in a lifetime you discover Paradise”
The location, sixty km from the airport of Malaga, and the comfort of this property are fantastic. Everything in the house is a testimony from the owner and makes you feel at home. It is cosy and clean. The pool is small but superbely located. From the terras and the pool you have a great site on the nearby village of Competa and even the sea is not far. Competa is one of the many splendid white villages in andalusia and you can walk to the village for food, restaurants and pleasure. From Competa you will find a variety of possibilities for trips : the coast,Granada, Nerja, the wonderfull village of Frigiliana and what we liked very much was a daytrip to a region east of Granada by the name of Las alpujarras. The only minor thing is that you have to drive nine km from the mainroad up to your location but it is an easy and superb drive in a beautiful scienery.
“The villa itself made our holiday”
Booking arrangements, directions and all pre-holiday information was first class. When we arrived we were not disappointed. The Casita was of a high standard with lovely views, swimming pool and patio. The house itself was well equipped and traditionally furnished. We appreciated having air conditioning in the main bedroom which allowed us to sleep very comfortably. We enjoyed the remoteness of the location but were also within walking distance of Competta a typical market town with an ex-pat population. From the airport the location is a reasonable drive up mountain roads but worth it when you get there. It is good for walking in the cooler seasons. You can hear the goats being brought in in the early evening while sipping a glass of cava on the terrace and listening to the birds. The pool is wonderful and big enough for a swim while looking at the mountains. From the airport it is a fair drive to the coast and other tourist attractions. We did enjoy visiting Nerja and the alhambra Palace Granada. If you want a relaxing holiday away from it all but within walking distance of restaurants and shops selling good local produce then this comes highly recommended .
“With every comfort, magnificent view on the village, very quiet.”
The service was very good en well prepared. A little 10 minutes walk to the magnificent village of Competa. The rooms are very cosy. Kitchen, bathroom and swimming pool are OK.
“a paradise on top of a hill”
We booked this villa to celebrate our silver wedding in june 2012, we enjoyed it so much we have booked it again for june 2013. The villa has everything you would need for a great holiday, if there has to be a downfall it is the small oven which gave us an excuse to eat out more than we would normally. The local restaurants however offer good food at good prices. We enjoyed 14 days of sunshine and made good use of the pool area with its panoramic views. The air conditioning was a godsend in the lounge and bedroom at night. We enjoyed the privacy and relaxation that the villa offered. A car is essential for this holiday, even a trip to the local town is better done by car, as either way it is downhill, then uphill. The town is a picture postcard and has many great restaurants.
