“Just perfect”
This a lovely spacious room with high ceilings and large bay window in a beautiful Georgian house. Marie was very welcoming and showed me how everything worked etc. The room was warm and spotlessly clean. The room had a small kitchen area which meant I could make breakfast in my room whenever suited. Marie left ample provisions: tea/coffee, preserves, lovely bread, orange juice, eggs etc. I was studying at night so the room suited me perfectly - I had peace and quiet and facility to microwave a snack if needed. A great location; Clifton is a beautiful part of Bristol - lots of small parks, wonderful architecture, good restaurants and shops and that is before you take in the wonderful views.
“Clifton Towers - A first rate stay in Bristol”
A first rate guest house at the top of a hill in Bristol (isn't everything uphill in Bristol) The room was delightful, Marie was welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was plentiful and varied. There is a vast selection of books to read and the TV was fine once we'd found out how to turn it on (Thanks Marie) We were visiting our son at university and if you need a base for a short stay in Bristol we recommend Clifton Towers without hesitation or reservation.
“Clifton Towers - A first rate stay in Bristol”
An absolutely splendid guest house at the top of a hill in Bristol (isn't everything in Bristol uphill) Marie was welcoming, the room was delightful, the breakfast plentiful and varied and the range of books to read was extensive (and the TV was great once we'd worked out how to turn it on - thanks Marie). We were visiting our son at university and if you need a base for a short break in Bristol we recommend Clifton Towers without hesitation or reservation.
Response from the owner Dear Terry and Corinne Wow! thank you so much for your kind words. I am very glad that you liked being here. I certainly liked meeting you all and perhaps we will meet again. best wishes Marie.
“Beautiful!”
Many thanks for the great accommodation, Marie! This room is spacious, quiet and fully stocked with tasty and nutricious breakfast items. The location is very central and the building is situated atop Clifton hill, affording beautiful views of this striking city. I will be returning for sure.
Response from the owner Dave It was a pleasure meeting you. We discovered a new use for the egg steamer!! first ever steamed Broccoli cooked! See you again I hope! Marie
“So good that following a 3 night stay I have booked several more”
Comfortable room with all features required combined with lovely and helpful host in Marie. The location was ideal with free street parking and a 10-15 minute walk to/from uni buildings + easy access to shops/takeaways/supermarket! A unique set-up allowing complete flexibility in terms of eating arrangements via self-serve breakfast with added bonus of a mini egg boiler! Add to this the fridge and microwave making options for evening meals easy and the additional amenities provided in the bathroom made this a very enjoyable stay. ?
“Warm reception at Clifton Towers”
Last weekend was my second visit to Bristol - again I booked Clifton Towers B&B;: It sits neatly between the best bars, restaurants and dramatic views of Clifton Hill - and down the hill to the traditional shopping and facilities of the city centre. This time we discovered the Quayside stalls and cafe´s. The room overlooks parkland, and is bright and nicely proportioned; plenty of hot water, good central heating and a warm welcome from landlady Marie - I will definitely book again on my next trip to Bristol. “Great location and a very nice house”
We were able to arrange check in and out at times that were convenient to us, and received a warm welcome from the owner when we arrived. Room was large and comfortable. Food was supplied in the room, and was more than sufficient.
“Excellent”
I've stayed for a not so short visit in this B&B; and I would strongly recommend it. The room is large, very clean and nicely furnished (actually much better than what the picture shows!). The location is excellent, in a quite road but with shops, restaurants, etc. just around the corner, and walking distance to the city centre. Service is excellent and friendly.
“Fantastic discovery.”
Wow, we are regular visitors to Bristol for work but have only just discovered Clifton Towers, what a gem. Fantastically comfortable bed in a beautiful large room with everything you might need, all in Clifton Village, which has a huge choice of places to eat out should you wish. Marie Walker couldn't be more helpful, knows Bristol like the back of her hand, so is full of useful tips, even to people like us who thought we knew the city well until we met her. She is the perfect hostess, happy to go the extra mile for those of us who have special dietary requirements, couldn't be more helpful, without being in any way intrusive. The room is near to the front entrance of her house, so you have total privacy, which is lovely. Couldn't recommend it more highly, we'll be back, and are busy telling all our friends about it.
“Excellent, quiet & comfortable B&B; in a perfect location.”
This was the perfect B&B; for my son & I. The room was airy & spacious, the bed was really comfortable, & Marie provided an extra bed for my son. Everything was perfect for our needs - quiet, nearby shops, restaurants & on-street parking. We particularly enjoyed the breakfasts - wonderful bread, eggs, etc, & making it as & when we wanted was really great. Thank you for making us so welcome, Marie - I look forward to my stay on my next visit.
