We were so pleased we found the iPod for your grandson and shipped that safely back to you. Selly really enjoyed all the private cooking that she did and especially on New Years Eve. Glad that you found plenty of local taxis and the tuk tuks right next door to our building and all over kata beach. The three flights of stairs as you mentioned are easily overlooked once you arrive inside the penthouse with the stunning sea views and no buildings in front of us as we are the first building back from the beach. As we are on the third level of the building, the large lap pool would be on the floor below the ground level which is also another great place to sit and enjoy the sun loungers and umbrellas. The penthouse provides privacy & offers a relaxing safe environment for kids and adults to enjoy but with the conveniences of a hotel with room service and loads of shops, restaurants, markets, nightlife, elephant trekking just a few minutes walk from the penthouse. Our guests find that right next door to our place are loads of taxis and tuk tuks available that can take you anywhere you want to go however most guests just walk down our road as we are only a few min stroll to all the places. To come back to the penthouse guests can also grab the local tuk tuks which are very inexpensive and loads of fun to ride in!
